My situation was that my 1985 Volvo 244DL had major fluid leaks -oil and transmission fluid. My regular shop, the one that had previously looked after it told me that they would no longer service it. When other local shops said they'd 'take a look' but couldn't guarantee whether they could repair what they found, this place 'took a look', gave me a quote and did the repairs. Yes, I found it a tad expensive, but it was either that or park the car in my garage and entertain selling it. I was looking to buy a used Audi Q5 and thought I would get it inspected first. Good thing I did!! The car needed a lot of major work and a lot of minor repairs. On the outside it looked great and was going to make an offer. I thought the inspection was a bit high at first but after reviewing it found that it was very thorough and money well spent! Our VW van required extensive repairs and maintenance and I'm not sure too many shops would be willing to take such a job on with parts needed from international locations and innovative solutions needed. Reports after thorough inspections indicated a definite level of attention to detail. Public Relations is exemplary; rapid responses by service advisors to a number of technical queries resolved accurately prior and comprehensively prior to service; shop availability remarkably short. Owning a luxury car isn't cheap; you may or may not be able to find better shop rates or replacement parts out there and taking that road may or may not cost you more money down the line.
