I needed a pre purchase inspection (PPI) on a used car and these guys were great. John was very responsive and provided a detailed description of what was wrong with the car. Have to agree with review by Dan. They also mis-diagnosed a simple engine light problem. Tried to charge me over $1000! Used a rebuilt part but didn't tell it was rebuilt. I took car to Meadowlands Audi which quickly diagnosed problem and repaired in one day for under $300. They also informed that a rebuilt part had been used. When I questioned GMBH about this they said oh we were trying to save you money. Fixing the problem correctly the first time would've saved me money!!! One piece of advice STAY AWAY! I had the pleasure of bringing my 2005 BMW 325xi to this fine establishment today for what I thought would have been a huge problem. They looked at my car in within about 5 minutes they came into the waiting room and told me "its fixed!" Apparently there was a flap in my tail pipe that was stuck and causing it to make a noise. They "unstuck" it for me and sent me on my way without even charging me. I'm so happy that I found this place, and even more happy that I'm not going to be taking my car to the dealer anymore to get raked over hot coals. John is my go to guy for my BMW. he does great service, quick to the point and doesn't try to constantly tack on things like the local BMW dealers. John and his team are absolutely the best kind of people you want working on your vehicle, especially if it's a higher end car. They are transparent, honest, and very fair with their pricing. They will do everything they can to keep costs down and the lines of communication are always open with a very fast response time as to what's going on with your car while at their shop. Small local shop that offers great service and wont rip you off. Very rare these days. My 2008 335i had the check engine light on. Park bmw told me the repair for the airbag sensor would cost approx 1000$. The guy at gmbh reset my comp and charged me nothing. The light never came back on. read more

So it's been 2 years and Motorsport is definitely my "go to" garage. I have them do any work that is needed, oil changes, brakes, spark plugs, fuel filter, serpentine belt and pulleys. My car is 11 years old and has 166,000 miles now, so things are needed, but they keep the car running great. They always give you a heads up of future maintenance needs as well. Great place. They mounted and balanced new tires on my 3 series last summer. Very reasonable price, and they have you order directly from TireRack so you get the best price on your tires as well. More recently they replaced my front brake pads. BMW Bloomfield gave me an estimate for brake pads that was $150 MORE than what I paid at GmbH (and I would be almost certain BMW would have claimed I needed new rotors too). I dropped off my car on Monday afternoon and they had it finished by Tuesday morning. Quick, friendly, and reasonable prices. I like many. Wanted to save money and avoid the Mercedes dealer for my repairs. I saw the positive reviews for GmbH and thought this was a good place. They definitely were busy with beautiful high end cars. Although my experience was anything but beautiful. I was flat out lied to and scammed. I brought my wife's ML350 for a diagnosis and repair. The estimate was approximately 4000.00 for a power steering issue. I declined the repair and had to pay 125.00 diagnostic fee. I was told it was the power steering rack and pinion leaking, a leaking reservoir, and possibly a bad power steering pump. Not to mention they tried also recommending tires and other repairs. On top of the $4000.00 job. Before pulling off I noticed the check engine light was now on and truck was idling hard and shaking. It wasn't on when I dropped it off nor was it riding bad. I did notify the mechanic of this and he cleared the code. A bit of decency after there shady practice. But the kicker is. I took the truck to the local Mechanic for a second opinion. Only needed new power steering pump. Complete job $550.00. Truck is riding fine now. If I could give zero stars I would. Buyer be(very)ware. read more

After many years of not going to this place I decided to try them again when I was having a problem. They claimed to have done some diagnostic work and swapped some parts around, but couldn't fix the issue. I then took my vehicle to another shop that showed me a nice thick layer of dust and grim on the parts that were supposedly swapped and checked. They hadn't touched a thing. They still charged me for diagnostic work. So twice now I have been swindled by the same shop. My fault for going back after that first experience, but I read some good reviews and thought maybe I just had bad luck the first time. Nope. if you're there for something simple like brakes or an oil change of course they'll handle that. Something more complex I wouldn't trust them for a second. read more

Until a few weeks ago, I didn't feel comfortable going anywhere else to have work done on my 3 out-of-warranty family Mercedes'. Then I found Motorsport GmbH. They are courteous, professional, knoweldgeable, reasonable, and valuable. I am a tolerant, reasonable and understanding customer. I do not recommend Motorsport GMBH for the following reasons: Extremely poor workmanship skills. Poor attention to detail. Even the invoice I received was sloppy and dirty. Poor customer service. Follow up and follow through skills the worst I've experienced. I Wasted time money and effort coordinating bringing my car to this shop and getting a rental on 3 separate occasions for a problem they caused. I was diligent and vetted their reviews before bringing my car however, I am very disappointed in the service received. I have a 2007 MB CLS550. My vehicle was not rising with the air suspension on the front passenger side. I found MotorsportGmbH on this website. I made my way down to their shop from New York. Turns out it was the sensor and shock. The trip was definatley worth it. They were able to fix the problem quickly and for a very reasonable price. They were very honest in all aspects of my vehicle and my money. They did an excellent job, very friendly and trustworthy shop. They were able to save me over $2000.00 from what the dealer would have charged.I would without a doubt recommend this shop for anyone having any kind of trouble with their mercedes.
