In the heart of the red light district and you cannot miss it with its big Red sign and big Red Windmill. We were so excited to see it. Moulin Rouge is an amazing show and that's why we have seen it in Las Vegas and New York City ! Fun invigorating and enjoyable.
Definitely a pricey experience, but hey, when in Paris. We got the tickets with dinner included, but there's also tickets for just the show. Definitely think there could be some improvements made to the experience considering the price, but happy to have checked an item off the bucket list! Doors open at a certain time, but there's a massive queue once you get inside the building - I think we waited at least 30 minutes to get seated. They check your bags when you enter the doors (before getting in line), and they told us we couldn't bring our chocolate souvenirs inside, so they held onto it for us. After waiting 30 minutes, there's another room you enter, with a bag / coat check (backpacks aren't allowed), so not exactly too sure why we couldn't have just checked in our chocolates there. The seating inside is SUPER crowded. I think I had to stand up at least 3 times to let the people behind me get up and get through to use the bathroom. There's also not that much room to tilt your chairs, so I was also getting slight neck fatigue from looking at the stage. Also as heads up, if you're a party of 3 or less, you'll likely be paired with other people at the table. There's a band on stage singing during dinner service, which was nice. They served a special 3-course Christmas menu, where you can choose from 2 options within each course. I got the scallop carpaccio, meagre fish, and hazelnut plume. The seafood in general was pretty tender and soft but was on the saltier end. There was definitely a higher focus on presentation rather than taste, but I enjoyed the various sauces and garnishes on the dishes. For some reason, everyone's desserts were delayed, and came 30 minutes after we had finished the main course, and only 10 or so minutes before the show was about to start. Seems to have been some logistical issues there. The show is very flashy, with an impressive rotation of dazzling costumes. The dancers are all high energy, although that can also mean that they're slightly out of sync in some certain numbers. The songs are lip synced - so don't expect Broadway live singing. Between the dances, there's special acts like circus rollerblading, contortionist, and acrobatic balancing, which was quite impressive. It was fun seeing the iconic can-can and love how all the dancers were performing with a smile. Heads up - most numbers are topless so make sure you're going with the right group of people haha! Do I think there would probably be lower ratings in general if this weren't THE iconic Moulin Rouge? Possibly. But I do think if it's within your budget and you're already in Paris, might as well experience this once.
This is probably one of my favorite things we did during our time in Paris! I'm a big lover of live theater, so this was right up my alley. I didn't really know what to expect coming in; I had seen the movie (which now I know is a very different thing) but I at least knew about the singing and dancing. It was a pleasant surprise to get to see the cool tricks and stunts added in, as well! All of the performers were phenomenal. The theater itself is beautiful on the inside and out. It is definitely something you need to have on your Paris bucket list!
Well this place was sooo cool, very retro, classy and fancy. You can get tickets the day of but recommended to get tickets in advance just to avoid the possibility of disappointment because you couldn't get in. It's highly suggested that you dress up for the event avoiding sneakers or shorts for guys but I didn't see this rule being enforced because I saw a lot of people in sneakers lol but anyway... This place has the option of dinner and a show or just the show. If you choose to just see the show, youll come at a later time and possibly won't get the best seats since they'll accommodate people that will get the earlier to have dinner as well. I went for obviously both because if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna go all in! We had to wait outside inline but not for a long time, once inside, they had the option for coat check for a small fee, then they proceeded to scan out tickets and take us to our seats, they choose them for you according to the number of people in your party and I suppose, first come first serve type situation. We lucked out and got amazing seats, there were some empty seats at our table but we knew they would fill up after dinner... and they did lol. The ambiance was so retro, you felt like you went back in time, they had some performers, they were singing classic French songs and then they switch it up to english songs, some people even got up to dance, the lights were nice and soft, very romantic and no children around minus a few teens. They had a pretty simple menu, you choose an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. (Pro tip) look at the menu beforehand so you know what you want. That way you get an idea and order right away. Their food was pretty good, I enjoyed it a lot, very tasty. I do wish they had more non-alcoholic beverages besides water and coke lol. The actual show was fun, lots of glitter and glam AND topless women (if this isn't your cup of tea, prob best to not attend). The music was fun and lively, the dancers for the most part were pretty good but I must say, they weren't perfect :x , they were a bit off and not synchronized completely. If you're familiar w the rockets at the radio city music hall in NYC, you'd be disappointed, specially for the price of the ticket because yes, it was VERY expensive so I truly expected perfection. The service was really good, very attentive and such, our waiter spoke english so that was super helpful. Overall I enjoy myself a lot, I was slightly disappointed because of how high the price for the ticket was and how poor their non-alcoholic drink selection was, as well as the dancers being off a bit, but it's one of those things that you MUST do when in Paris to check it off your bucket list and prob never do it again lol... well at least once is enough for me lol..
This is the classic. If you're a fan of showgirls or musical numbers or Vegas-style revues, you should see this original. It has some variety acts and smaller numbers in between the big musical numbers. If you've seen this type of show before, you know what to expect for pacing. The show is high energy, the numbers are fun, the girls with the magic of costuming & stage makeup all look absolutely lovely. This is France and this is Moulin Rouge, so of course some of the numbers are largely topless. Some dancers remain topless for much of the show. If the human form embarrasses you (or you have a jealous GF/spouse) you might want to go elsewhere- I did see some patrons starting to get that narrow-eyed irritated look on their faces, tho maybe they had just run out of champagne. Know your partner and her comfort levels. Speaking of champagne, the overall process was surprisingly clunky for how long it's been in operation. There's a very slow-moving line to get into the venue (get there at the START of the time period suggested if you want to have time to settle down), with waiting for individual servers to seat each customer. You picked specific seats on the website, even premium priced? Nope, they've already packed people in and you get whatever's left. You pre-bought champagne or wine? Not so interesting to the server, who asked what I wanted and never delivered. It took several attempts to get my 1/2 bottle of bubbles, and in the end they tried to give me 2 of those bottles (I only bought one). The champagne was excellent- but this is the easy part, for a place that's been running for so long it should not be a struggle. My night was a sellout even for the late show, so there's not much option for requesting other seats. Note the iconic windmill was repaired this past summer, so it's working again (it broke back in 2024). I like this sort of show, so I give 4 stars, and it's a very classic Paris experience. But rating the service levels alone, I'd have gone 2 stars.
Best show I've seen. Worth coming here. Glad that we tried to experience on this visit as we missed it on previous Paris visit. The show itself is very entertaining. The package we had was the one with bottle of champagne and the management was generous enough giving us the best brand. The performers were all professionals. The choreography was nothing but the best of the best ! There was a long wait in admission but worth the wait. The theater defines classiness and history. I am willing to return. Highly recommend to see.
I am extremely conflicted here. First off I didn't know this place was real, thought it was just a movie & broadway show. Anyways, overall the show was pretty cool. I've never seen the movie or broadway shows so I didn't quite know what to expect. All I knew was that we were doing their dinner and a show package. For their food they had I believe 3 different menus of differing costs. They had 2 "regular" menus and a vegetarian menu from what I remembered. We booked months in advance but I believe ours was the cheaper of the "regular" menus. Before even picking I remember we were a bit conflicted with the choices because each menu had something that we were interested in. I didn't take a pic of the menu unfortunately. It was a bit dark and I was really just tying to enjoy the experience and vacation with my friends. What I can tell you over all is that while the food was interesting and had some elements that we liked, overall we left feeling a bit disappointed y the food at least. Dessert ended up being our favorite thing, well, that and the bottles of champagne that we had with our dining package. Back to the negatives, one thing that really stood out to me was the general toughness of their proteins. I won't go so far to say that the food here was bland but it was definitely lacking a bit for us. One caveat I had taken into consideration by the end of the trip though was that from what I had heard, in the US we are used to a lot of seasoning/salt/etc meanwhile their palates are adjusted to needing less of these things so to them what may be delicious is lacking for someone from the US. Anyways, on to the show. What has me conflicted here was the quality of the show. It's basically a fairly adult burlesque. This is the only one that I have been to so I don't have much to compare to however, I don't imaging most others having the same elements as those done here. They had an aquatic segment that I would have never expected. I don't want to give too much away because I'm not sure if they rotate parts of the show or if they keep it exactly the same. In short, there is dancing, music and other physical displays that were quite impressive to see. While the food for the price really has me wanting to give them a 3 (out of generosity), the show ALONE would keep the venue at at least a 4/5. As for the service, I'd give them a 3 at best as well. It felt like we were not checked on after the final courses were dropped off and almost not at all in between courses. As for the ambiance and decor. Well it was a bit dimly lit location inside, even before the show it wasn't the most well lit. Not really a complaint I just think that's the vibe they were going for. The decor also fit well for it being a French burlesque, I'm not quite sure how else to put that. Side note now that it comes to mind, they had some of the hardest bread that I've ever had from a restaurant. Highly don't recommend it unless you want to hurt your teeth.
The Moulin Rouge is a once in a lifetime experience and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to check it out. I came here with a group so our meals were preselected. I wasn't too fond of the food as it wasn't anything special for the price we paid. However, we were given 2 bottles of wine and some champagne. I loved the actual production despite not knowing French. Highly recommend everyone to check it out!
Tickets for a 11pm show on a Tuesday. Yes only when on vacation and in Europe- they are night owls!! .Buy your tickets online in advance because they do sell out. Anyways the pre show arrival included a lot of standing in line, going upstairs and downstairs. Very crowded, waiting in a warm environment and a somewhat slow process. . Anyhow when we were finally shown to our very, very tight 6 person table. The 3 of us were seated in small chairs across from a shared table wirh 3 others. We were personaly served a bottle and half of champagne for the 3 of us! Because of the tight seating arrangements just say there was no going to the bathroom once you were seated. The show started around 1140pm and lasted about 90 minutes. The performances were amazing, the costumes were colorful and beautiful. The show was fast moving and definitely entertaining with some really talented dancers Remember several of the performances the woman are toppless and wearing thongs so if you are a conservative type maybe not the show for you. But it's completely classy and after a while you don't even notice it because of the creative choreography. One thing to note is I followed the upscale requested dress code. I wore a black dress and heels while many others wore sundresses , jeans , many wearing sneakers or dreaded flip flops. While I probably wouldn't wear 5 inch heels again maybe a kitten heels or dressy flats like my girlfriend did. Mainly due to the amount of standing prior to the show . Afterwards it limited me to going straight back to my hotel instead of walking around the area after the show. However I would assume tourists coming to the fashion capitol of the world could arrive more stylishly dressed for one night. Come on folks step it up.!! I recommend this show when visiting Paris for a fun touristy entertaining evening.
We went to the 11pm show. It was fantastic. Lots of pretty girls tastefully topless with elaborate costumes, dancing and singing. There was also a beautiful breathtaking dance number by a young couple; four muscle men that did acrobats that jaw dropping with incredible strength and knife throwing couple. It was a lot of eye candy and entertainment. Well worth the money.
c'est incroyable! Wow! Honestly. I am still in all of everything put on by the Moulin Rouge, from the welcome to the service, dinner, the quality of champagne to the excellence of the dancers! It was as they say, C'est Magnifique! We had Logan as our server, he was amazing and attentive and even better being a ManU fan as we are too! We ordered from the Toulouse-Lautrec Menu, which changes every season. The starter of the Tataki Tuna was so fresh with the citrus flavors. I got for my starter the beef cheek and it was so tender and perfect - I didn't want the flavors to end! For my dessert, I had the entremet which was creamy and fruit forward. The entire meal was to die for! The show was insane. I do not know how the dancer change so quickly or how they kick so high! Merci!
This was a must do for my visit to Paris simply because of the long history of the cabaret. The decor was nice and made me feel like i stepped back in time. We had tickets for dinner and the show. Both did not disappoint. Dinner was a price fix. We had a choice of two different meals which were chosen when we purchased the ticket. A band entertained us during dinner. The main show was absolutely amazing. There were various skits, dances and performances that were surprising, funny and memorable. The costumes and stage props were brilliant and beautiful. Definitely worth checking out. Be sure to purchase in advance.
Best night in Paris!!! My mom and I did the dinner party, which started with a 3-course meal with live music. For dinner, we chose the vegetarian option which was actually also vegan and was absolutely delicious! After dinner, they opened up the dance floor to the audience for half an hour and sang English songs- it was a blast. After dancing, the show itself began, which was unreal- the costumes and acrobatics were like nothing I've ever seen. Go to this if you can- you won't regret it!

We finally made it to the famous Moulin Rouge thanks to Trafalgar Tours and I personally think it was worth the ride! The entrance to this place was very interesting and done up well. Our group of approx 40 were seated immediately and even though the placed was packed the staff were on top of everything. The seating was a bit cramped and the table placements were very congested with not much room too move. For starters we were served a smoked salmon which was deelish and fresh, for the main course Hovi ordered the Fish and mixed seafood in a creamy sauce (yes she was feeling adventurous) and said it tasted "interesting"! I had the Steak with potatoes with a gravy and it was very good! Dessert was the same for everyone and since I don't have a sweet tooth the Mrs polished my share off too and loved it lol! The show started at 9 pm sharp and it was really good and done in good taste. It was different from the Las Vegas productions but still fun to watch! As we were leaving a crowd was lined up outside for the next show! All in all we all had a good time and YES I would definitely recommend this experience to my fellow YELPERS as a once in a lifetime go to show! For those wanting to immerse themselves in the history and experience, there is more than just the show. Across from the Moulin Rouge is a photo taking area (where I took the photo). It's busy during the touristy months and lunch time. It would be a better view later in the evening when it's all lit up. They still have the cafe atop the Moulin Rouge. They offer a lunch with unlimited mimosas and wine. It was reasonably priced and had munchies for the kiddies. The rooftop is fabulous. A true Parisian paradise! If you're looking at the Moulin Rouge, you'll take the side street to the left to enter. Not even a block down you'll see a set of stairs to the right. Go up and you'll be atop the Moulin Rouge. You can make reservations through their website online. The official Moulin Rouge store can also be difficult to find (and a bit pricey). If you're looking at the Moulin Rouge, take the side street to the right of the Moulin Rouge. You'll see it a block down on the left. read more
This last trip to Paris, I had to go to a show at Moulin Rouge, HAD TO DO IT! Not many people talk about the line before the show, but let's just say, its bad, no rhyme or reason, maybe they should get line management skills from Disneyland haha. Once inside the Moulin Rouge, the showroom is impressive, the servers are dressed nicely. We did the 11pm show with champagne for 109 euros each. Another thing I noticed was that a dress code isn't enforced, I saw people in jeans, t-shirts, tennis all the way to people decked out to the nines. So the show, I got to see the French Cancan, and the interlude acts were great!! The costumes were nicely done, saw some head pieces I'd like to rock haha. The show goes nonstop for 2 hours, and that's lot of dancing. Some of skits are very dated, and I don't I just expected more, it wasn't as va va voom as expecting, it's like a Vegas show that has been retired and is now performing on cruise ships. But I did enjoy myself, it was a treat to see the show at the Moulin Rouge. And I know when I am back in Paris I will flock to the windmill of the Moulin Rouge to snap a selfie. read more
My friends and I were on a girls trip to Paris so we decided take in the show at the famous Moulin Rouge. We purchased tickets for the late show which included a half bottle of wine or champagne for each person. The line to get into the auditorium was very very long as there were so many people waiting to be seated. We had to enter the building wait up the stairs, wrap around the room and then the line continued back down the stairs and finally the main entrance room of the auditorium. All in all I believe we waited around 30 to 40 minutes just to get to our seats. By the time we finally got in we were seated in the very last row of the auditorium. There were three of us and we were seated at a table with three other people. There was absolutely no space between the tables and your chair butted up against the chair of the person behind you. You literally could not push your chair out or in either direction.Additionally the table was positioned so you did not face the stage rather you had to turn your body sideways and your neck sideways to be able to watch the show. So for a comfort level for a 2+ hour show it was not great at all. People were Packed in like sardines. Now The show itself was pretty good. There were a few numbers that were a little cheesy such as when all the girls came out dressed as circus clowns and another one where they were wearing 90s style wigs and sang American disco songs. There was also an act in which a large glass pool appeared from under the stage with giant snakes in it and one of the performers dived into it and she swam around with the snakes. Odd, but to each his own. Other than that the traditional Vegas style numbers were excellent. The costumes were amazing, the girls gorgeous of course and the men pretty good looking too! The girls were topless so if you're offended by that then you definitely should stay away.There were some very talented acts such as the two men who showed their strength by balancing and lifting each other with their bodies and the couple that did a rolling skating act. The wine was delicious so all in all we had a pretty fun time. I'm glad that I went as this was my second trip to Paris and I did not go the first time so now I can say that I've been to a show there but I probably would not need to repeat it. Visit Date: March 19, 2015 Personally I would have been happy with just glancing at the Moulin Rouge but my husband suggested we see the show. The hysterical part is that he didn't know the show featured topless dancers when he suggested seeing it. I knew it though. Tickets are expensive and be aware if you don't buy tickets including drinks I'm not sure how you will get a drink. I opted to buy the tickets that didn't include drinks and when we got there we wanted champagne but no one would serve it to us. They either forgot about us or they don't serve you if you're ticket is a non drink ticket. I'm not sure if you can get drinks at a bar or not, but when you're watching the show you don't really want to get up and go find drinks. The show itself is okay there's a lot of wow and some amazing dancing and costumes but one performance was funny but a little boring to me. The roller skating couple wowed me, the lady dancing in the water with live snakes wowed me, but the short comedian who picked people from the audience made me laugh but also bored me. I bought an XL shirt as a souvenir but European sizing is smaller than American Sizing so when I got home it was a little too tight for me. I'm going to see if I can eventually fit into it but I might end up selling it. So if you are going to buy a souvenir shirt here go a size bigger. Beware if you bring a backpack they will make you check it. Even though it was pricey it was really cool to sit in the same club that the artist Toulouse- Lautrec sat in many years ago. read more

We had talked about going to the Moulin Rouge before we left home. We knew it would be costly and after a $75 pizza lunch I was voting no on going. But, Corina really, really wanted to go so I went along. We had dinner show tickets and were seated fairly close to the stage in the center. Honestly nice seats. The dinner was better than I expected and there was lots of wine and Champagne. It was crowded, but we expected that to be the case and didn't let that bother us. The show. The show was fabulous! I wasn't ready for it to be so good. It's so much more than topless Girls and I just didn't expect that. I won't get into what we saw because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. Well, many others have talked about the snakes and yes there are snakes. You have to see that performance to believe it! But, there is so much more. I'm so glad Corina talked me into going now. read more
We went early December just because were in Paris. We purchased the 1100 showing with champagne. We did not have to wait outside in the cold and the wait was only around 20 mins, we were pleasantly surprised as we were seated close to the stage. However, they seat you with two other couples and it's really close quarters. The show was good, didn't really get the story line because it was in French. Overall, it was good to go once and that's it. I would recommend the 1100 show as it was the last show and it's cheaper. Any seat in the theatre would have been ok, I don't think it would be worth getting priority seating. read more

My girlfriend and I simply had to see a show here. Even though the Moulin Rouge is not in the best part of town, the 18th Aridonnsment, we still went. It was a super easy Uber ride from our hotel. The show cost us about 100 Euros a piece, about 120 dollars and came with two small bottles of champagne. The atmosphere was just as we expected. Very colorful and French. We absolutely loved it. I debated a four star rating as they packed us in a little tight but the dozens of beautiful topless women dancing around cheered my right back into a five star rating. This may not be for everyone buy my girlfriend and I absolutely loved it. Yes, very expensive. Yes, very French. Yes, a bit cramped inside, YES, absolutely worth the time and money. read more

Ok I was super super excited to be in Paris and not just see the Moulin Rouge but to also experience this Iconic Place! Yes this place was a little pricy but OMG it was totally worth the experience. Here are some tips about this place. 1. Print out your tickets or else go to the box office and get them printed. They don't like using the ticket off your phone. 2. The Dinner is delicious and very French. If you by chance do not drink or will be seated with a group where someone doesn't drink do not tell the staff until after they bring your Champagne!!! Again do not say anything till after you are served your champagne. If you do they will bring you a smaller bottle of champagne and serve the other individual the soda of their choice. Which sucks because you basically paid for an expensive Champagne and than you get a smaller bottle since you are not sharing. 3. Expect some topless tasteful nudity, I forgot the girls were topless 2 songs in! Lol! Also the men probably need a little work on being on step but you can see pass that. 4. They do not like pictures inside so make sure you eat your pics before going in or be sneaky and run the risk of them being upset! I hope you take a chance and watch this show with great champagne and tasty food! read more

11:30 p.m. show on a Thursday night in October 3rr 2019. if you pay for VIP ticket do not let the door man tell you it is a regular ticket as they tried to do with us and made us wait like cattle with the less expensive tickets. the additional money paid for the VIP tickets comes with certain privileges. Thankfully one of the senior ushers took the time to read our tickets and treated us properly. Careful with the meat heads at the door they don't know much. Lastly it did not appear the dress code was being enforced, many sneakers/trainers and track suits were in the audience. The show itself was fantastic! read more

My husband and I went to the 11PM show with champagne. I was a little skeptical going to a cabaret show. I expected a lot of nudity and not a lot of content. However, it was much more than that. I was thoroughly entertained by the show. Yes, there was an almost constant parade of partially nude women, but I liked the actual entertainment. My husband was not as impressed as I was with the entertainment, but we both enjoyed the champagne. We received a bottle to share while we watched the show. The entrance to the show took a long time and my feet in heels were definitely sore, so wear comfortable shoes. The show was expensive, but in my opinion, worth it. I would definitely go again, but next time, I would go with a female friend. read more

The most amazing floor show on earth, interspersed with incredible acts featuring feats of agility, strength and timing. 100 beautiful women on stage in amazing costumes, with over the top theatrical lighting and music... Overwhelmingly dazzling to the eye. In between you see world class juggling, acrobatics, feats of strength and even some corny French humor. Opt for the dinner before the show which includes France delicacies like terrine of rabbit. If you are in Paris, why would you not go see one of the most legendary shows on earth? It's a bucket list item that has to be fulfilled! read more

Wow. I am surprised by some of the low reviews. Perhaps it's because my expectations for Moulin Rouge was not that high to begin with. I expected the show to be very much like a Las Vegas show - very popular, over priced, touristy, and incredibly cheesy. But this show exceeded my expectations BY FAR. Here is the run down: RESERVATIONS It is indeed a pricey ticket. However, it is on par with any other theatre event that I have been to. I'm actually surprised it wasn't more expensive (not that I am complaining). From reviews, I decided to opt out of the dinner and just do the show. I went to Chez Toinette prior to the show for dinner instead which was 2 blocks or so from the theatre. I would purchase tickets as soon as you know you are going. I initially planned to go to the earlier show but within a few days, they were sold out and I had to go at a later time. The metro's had closed by the show ending and it was difficult to get an affordable uber from that part of town. It did not strike me as a safe neighborhood - so not really the best place to be dressed up after midnight. But I digress...bottom line, do the earlier show. lol SERVICE My only complaint is the cattle call way we had to enter the theatre. We entered into the building next store, had to stand and wait forever, then they moved the line into the building with the theatre - where we had to wait in line for awhile again. It was a little frustrating. Before the show, you receive a bottle of champagne and a photographer visits your table to snap a photo. You can purchase the photo later on, which they give to you on the spot (bring cash). I wish they allowed you to order drinks, but they do not (if they did, then it went over my head). THE THEATRE The theatre is probably the most beautiful theatre I have ever been in. I absolutely love the ambiance. At the same time, it is not too large. I am pretty sure every seat in the house can clearly see the stage. The theatre was surrounded by red curtains, it was very trendy but classy and classic. Everyone was dressed to the 9s. Very swanky. No photos are allowed to be taken once in the theatre. However, you can get some great shots of the Moulin Rouge sign and windmill outside before the show in the medium strip. THE SHOW Impeccable. Absolutely wowed! I didn't even notice the women were topless because the costumes were just so elaborate and bright. What I remember most is nothing but bright colors and costumes that seemed to fill the stage. Most of the show was in French, but that did not take away from the experience even though I do not speak French. I really admired the confidence of some of the women - it could never be me! lol. In between sets, they had other entertainment such as professional, trick roller skaters - an acrobat - and a ventriloquist. Normally, if someone told me about these intermittent acts, I'd probably say "sounds like cheesy Vegas" but without any exaggeration, even these acts were amazing. These are some very very talented folks. Hands down. I loved every minute of the evening and I was not even expecting as much! I would put Moulin Rouge as a Paris must do! Important note: THIS IS NOT LIKE THE FILM. Because this is a historical show, I am shocked by the number of folks who thought it would mimic the movie. It never even crossed my mind that I would or should hear the song Lady Marmalade. Also, THIS IS CABARET, NOT CIRQUE DU SOLEIL. OVERALL EXPERIENCE A must do, get tickets for the earlier time slot to avoid late night transportation issues, book early, dress really nice, skip the dinner and eat at Chez Toinette beforehand, you do not need to know French, bring a lil cash read more
I came solo for this on my trip to Paris in the summer of '07. The maitre'd was wonderful, and though I arrived slightly late - he ushered me to the front of the line and seated me in a table at the very front of the venue. I purchased a package that included half a bottle of bubbly.. and trust me, you're going to need it to enjoy Moulin Rouge. If your reason for going has anything to do with the movie, you'll find that the real Moulin Rouge is by no means the classy, beautifully performed show that you might expect. It is what it is - a cabaret - and a pretty tacky one at that. Definitely not "date night" potential - at least not in my opinion. The ones in Vegas that I was dragged to by my parents as a teenager were more impressive. I do, however, appreciate that the women who performed had the most beautiful athletic bodies as opposed to the often-fake silicon implant-figure that's commonly revered in the U.S. Still, it's over 120 years old and due to it's history and the notable entertainers who've performed there, going is a good idea - if only once in your life. read more

Sadly underwhelming!! It's iconic and kind of very toursity! After almost a dozen visits to Paris, I decided to give in. Meh! Love the process, experience: not the show! But why??? I mean: too much skin: not enough show. Is that even a legit reason you ask? Yes, yes it is. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for beautiful, stunning almost naked girls! I mean: talk about motivational bodies!?! So much confidence! Great voices: and ok choreograph. A lot of toplessness! It's like game of thrones season 3: there's a topless chick popping up every minute!! Oh hey: Paris Paris: boobs!!! Except here is a gaggle of topless women!! Minus the boobs galore: what is the appeal?! Not so sure to be honest. I really like this one couple on skate! Crazy stunts!! Thank god, they had clothes on!! Old school glamour in the theater: servers in tuxes! Some friendlier than the next! Champagne was more than plenty! They said half a bottle prices online: but you two halves aka a whole bottle for 2! And the truck load of stunning ladies doing what they do best. Oh yea: one dance scene has this naked chick fighting pythons in a pool: on stage!!! #weirdshit If you're a thirteen year old boy, or into boobs, glitters and synchronized dances with weird themes for 100 euros per person: you've hit the jack pot!!
