To make matters worse, after my choice of giving birth to him, she wrote him down as 17 weeks so he was not considered a real child, no death certificate or stillborn certificate and basically acted like it was a bother to go back and change records after I suggested so. I ended up going elsewhere to have a third child after two other miscarriages and it was the best decision. Please advocate for yourself and get second opinions if you feel like you are not being listened to.

But these people can call you 15 minutes before your appointment, you know, the one you're literally almost at, the one you found someone to watch your kids for to only have them call and say that the OB is tied up in a birth. I'm sorry, was the practice unaware an hour prior when I was sent check in paperwork, or how about 30 mins prior when the doctor was obviously still not there and ready!?! 15 friggen minutes. The referral location repeatedly said they never received the referral, and I had to call four separate times to get it resent. After nine months of trying, I finally got the HSG done elsewhere. Since then, I have been rescheduled five times for a PCT test. Every cancellation has been the day of or the day before, despite the test requiring strict timing and time off work. I even arranged with my employer to adjust my schedule for a last-minute change, and that appointment was also canceled. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for patients dealing with time-sensitive fertility testing. It is clear this practice cannot reliably manage appointments or support patients through an already stressful process. I will be seeking care elsewhere and would caution others to be aware of these repeated issues.

She was - and continues to be - nothing short of amazing. Empathic, kind, clearly well-educated, with a courteous and committed staff - every appointment there is something I have great experiences with. In fact, after my first appointment with Dr. Wittek, I literally sat in the parking lot in my car and called 4 or 5 of my close girlfriends and told them they instantly needed to change OB/GYNs and go see Dr. Wittek. Every one of them did, and every one of them has had an experience similar to mine - they LOVE her. Dr. Wittek, like me, is a mom and has young children. She knows the challenges motherhood presents and understands well the concerns that all of us have. I have found her to be nothing short of magnificent and can't recommend her highly enough. She is an incredible physician, and a great caregiver, and a delightful person - in every sense.

We used to have to absolutely fight them EVERY year to try to get them to send labs to Quest Labs. They simply refuse to honor her request. My wife showed her Quest Lab card each time. On two occasions over the years, they sent labs to LabCorp anyway and our insurance company had to pay the claim even though I made a complaint against the KC Women's Clinic Lab. For the last several years we have had to have my wife's doctor send the lab orders to another doctor or outside lab who will honor her request, thereby bypassing the Women's Clinic lab. So, the warning is- if you have samples drawn at KC Women's Clinic Lab and if your health insurance does not use Lab Corp- you are in for a fight and will pay out-of-network for the lab work.

She cracks me up talking about wanting to be a Barista, which is funny to me since I am one. I could see her now. Might have to have her come in one day! I get so excited for my appointments with her, because I can't wait to see how she is doing. Today I met Amy Mendus for the first time. This lady is as cute as a button. She also spent a great amount of time trying to get to know me, and hear any concerns I have with the stubborn little guy in my tummy. She was very informative and comforting!
