They tell you on the phone when you schedule and also have you sign a legally binding contract to let you know they will nickel and dime you for every darn thing you unfortunately had scheduled for your nether-regions in the first place. But these people can call you 15 minutes before your appointment, you know, the one you're literally almost at, the one you found someone to watch your kids for to only have them call and say that the OB is tied up in a birth. I'm sorry, was the practice unaware an hour prior when I was sent check in paperwork, or how about 30 mins prior when the doctor was obviously still not there and ready!?! 15 friggen minutes. To make matters worse, after my choice of giving birth to him, she wrote him down as 17 weeks so he was not considered a real child, no death certificate or stillborn certificate and basically acted like it was a bother to go back and change records after I suggested so. I ended up going elsewhere to have a third child after two other miscarriages and it was the best decision. Please advocate for yourself and get second opinions if you feel like you are not being listened to.

The referral location repeatedly said they never received the referral, and I had to call four separate times to get it resent. After nine months of trying, I finally got the HSG done elsewhere. Since then, I have been rescheduled five times for a PCT test. Every cancellation has been the day of or the day before, despite the test requiring strict timing and time off work. I even arranged with my employer to adjust my schedule for a last-minute change, and that appointment was also canceled. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for patients dealing with time-sensitive fertility testing. It is clear this practice cannot reliably manage appointments or support patients through an already stressful process. I will be seeking care elsewhere and would caution others to be aware of these repeated issues.

We used Resolve from January 2023- up until around late last summer. Location: 5/10 The location is ideal, but can be far for folks that live further south. Sadly, it was inconvenient for us. Telehealth is available, but keep this in mind for evening appointments when are battling rush hour and peak travel times. Availability: 2/10 The LSCW we were paired had limited availability. She booked clients back to back, with little breaks in between. This made it difficult to schedule anything with her. Her latest appointment was 8pm; which worked for us briefly, but it quickly led to her burnout and emotional unavailability to my child. It was also pretty difficult to get ahold of her. Initially, I had to reach out to the front desk/admin to relay a message or schedule an appointment. I finally requested her direct email to reach out, which slightly improved communication. Vibe Check: 2/10 The office itself is nice, but the vibe was way off to me. The decor reminds me of a dentist office in the late 70's, early 80s and smelled like the plastic bib they place over you before starting a cleaning. It just did not feel very welcoming or inviting to me. I always felt awkward being in the waiting room. I know it is not easy having your child go to therapy, but nobody looked happy to be there. It was the ultimate doom and gloom. Nap time: 0/10 During my child's sessions, the therapist would wrap themselves in a blanket and doze off. This was no surprise to me, as she scheduled her last appointment at 8pm. Eventually, she started cutting back her hours to be done around 5, but at that point, burnout had set in and the damage to my kid had been done. This is beyond unprofessional. Improper Termination: 1/10 I really do not think termination was properly done with my kiddo in a way that provided closure. Luckily, we were able to find services with another therapist, but there was just lack of communication and closure at the end of our time with her. Again, this is due to burnout, which is common with therapists that book the way she did. Overall: 2/10 I cannot recommend this Resolve location to anyone I love and care about. I honestly believe there is not great management at this location because I observed burnout and the therapists did not seem happy to be there. There are better options in the city for therapy services for your kiddo. (KC PCIT)

My experience with Dr. Lyda Pung was terrible. I saw her because I was having stabbing pain daily…read morein the region of my cervix and hadn't had a period in almost two years with no symptoms of menopause and no pregnancy. I had been seen at the ER, where they found a fibroid taking up about half of my uterus. She brushed off my concerns about the lack of periods and about the fibroid entirely and prescribed depo as a stab in the dark to try to manage the pain. It did control the pain but at my size I couldn't afford to gain the 30lbs it made me put on so I stopped it. She never suggested any follow-up imaging to see if the fibroid was stable and when I insisted on it, after I received the results I got a call from her office that it was stable in size. I had already compared the results, and the fibroid had in fact more than doubled in volume! I pointed this out and when the nurse called me back after talking to Dr. Pung, I was told they never received the original ultrasound. How could they say my fibroid was stable in size if they have no basis for comparison? They flat out lied to me. I wouldn't trust Lyda Pung as far as I could throw her.

Dr Joan Schieber was referred to me by a friend and when I went she sat me down like I was in…read moretherapy which was fine as I want my Dr to know my life but when I told her I was 25 and want 5 kids she told me to come next appointment with a "plan b" as I was "getting up there in age and wasn't in a serious relationship" yet and needed to think about a plan B because of my age and relationship status. I let that go as I had heard great things but once I started getting with my friend who was a nurse she asked me if I knew he was safe to hook with I said "yeah he's a nurse so he knows what to do" her response was extremely judgmental saying that she's never heard of a nursing job that required STD testing...not what I meant at all...I just meant he's a nurse and knew the importance of testing. From there I ended up having skin issues (after further testing with another doc realized it was allergies) and she refused to test me after having me take off work to get a biopsy because she said I was be in "immense pain and not worth it" which is nuts because I finally switched to a specialist at KU and found out it was allergies and cleared it up. Unfortunately I just never felt heard or seen at St Luke's with her and I felt very judged and given up on.

Well, at my old doc--I never got to see her, she was always gone delivering babies. I went 3 years seeing her nurse practitioner and not seeing my doctor. Now, I get to see doctor Barndthouse everytime. He calls you personally with your test results, even if nothing is wrong. I admit, at first I was scared to go to a "man" and he was my first man gyno. Get over it and go see him. If you are at the stage of your life where you are done having kids, and I don't mean old just done with babies everywhere--this is a great practice with super friendly staff and a wonderful and caring doctor. I hope he doesn't retire because I am unaware of anyone else in the metro who only does gyno and not OB.

My doctor, Dr. Schieber, said she would be there with me if I had any complications and I could call anytime with questions. Then I get pregnant and as soon as I find out Im pregnant I start to have bleeding, cramping, and in pain. I called this office and left a voicemail on the nurses line. After an hour I got nervous and called back and got the front desk person Tammy who said that I was no longer allowed to be seen there because I am had temporarily had medicaid and I had been doing cashpay but now that Im pregnant they will no longer see me and she referred me to another provider. This providers is booked weeks out so I requested to talk to my nurse about my bleeding cramping and pain and what I should do. This woman refused to let me speak to my nurse I asked her three separate times. Then she mocks me and says 'the nurse has already listened to your voicemail, you can leave another one if you want'. I asked to speak to my nurse a 4th time and Tammy sent me back to the voicemail. Tammy even stated the nurse had been there with her discussing my situation so its not that she's too busy to take my calls, they are literally there talking about me AND the nurse had got my voicemail about bleeding and cramping and still had not returned my call or get on the phone. I called back and got Becky (She is the only amazing person who works here) at this time I'm hysterical and crying that my OBGYN office is refusing to help me at all and I beg her to let me talk to my nurse because I dont know if Im having a miscarriage or what and I want to speak to my nurse. Sandra, Dr Schieber's nurse was extremely rude on the phone but she finally did tell me to go to the ER but only after saying things that contradicted everything my Dr and I had talked about so I asked to speak to my doctor and she refused then I asked to speak to the office manager Shelly which she did connect me to. Shelly and Tammy were the absolute worst. Shelly didnt see any issue with denying me access to health care by refusing to let me speak to my nurse or doctor and said that I could not afford to pay their cash price to be seen and that is their policy to not accept pregnant cash paying patients. I asked to speak to my doctor which she also refused. I told her my doctor said I can contact her, if she wont transfer me does she have a number I can call to leave a message? She makes fun of me for asking this question. The only thing she did offer was to speak to my doctor on my behalf but didnt even bother to ask what my concerns were or what I even wanted to ask. The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office.

With that being said, I called to schedule an appointment for her after being seen in the ER for a severe prolapsed uterus, and was told we can't schedule an appointment until the records are received and reviewed from the ER. Excuse me??? Then, the receptionist said it will likely still be February before she could be seen. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No let me take a message and have a nurse call you back to see if she needs to be seen/worked in.
