One thing to note before going is that you do have to pay a fee during entry per person. It was $12+ tax per person. Went here during Fall on a Saturday evening at 4:00pm and despite being filled with people and parking was packed there was still plenty of space to walk. The main attraction, the falls, was pretty cool. You're able to see it up-close and take pictures. Overall, had a blast with my family.

The trails are all colour coded with easy, medium to hard and longer trails. It's clean and all the paths are clearly marked with lots of outlook points. So beautiful! Tip: Make reservations on parks.ca in 3 hours increments where parking is included in the fee. I like that you can make reservations so it's not too crowded. One of my fav hiking trails!

Visited Kelso for the fall chairlift ride. Visited weekend of October 14-15, the trees were still…read morefairly green. We paid online for the ticket, which is about $2 cheaper vs in person. However, you still have to go pick up physical copy of the ticket from the booth. Once you arrive, they will also request you pay for the park entrance $10/person. As soon as you enter, if you park at the first parking lot (located to the right) this is closest to the course challenge area, plenty of picnic area, washrooms as well. If you continue to drive ahead, there is another parking which is very close to the chairlift area. Pick up your ticket and get in line. Along the way, there's options for food & drinks. There's seating area with a bonfire. The chairlift ride itself was only 10 mins or less. Once up there, go exploring a, following a route for a hike, the further you drift away the less people you see but be careful! Keep children close, there are plenty of area which are steep cliffs. It can be very dangerous. There are signs all around which was good to see. The hike was so peaceful, amongst the trees, It's maintained well. We did often feel like we may be lost so stay vigilant, the area is large. The last ride up was 5pm which means they stay ensuring everyone is getting back down. we waited in line for about 15-20 mins. Staff was wonderful, they were cheerful, answered all of our questions. Tips: don't loose your ticket, you need it to go back down. Wear proper gear, it was cold!

I visited Rattlesnake Point with my family, and all I can say is WOW. The trees, the lookout…read morepoints, the pictures we took -- all amazing. We went there to look at the autumn colours and it was so beautiful. We walked the Buffalo Crag trail, which was a 3KM trail, and the Vista Adventure trail, which was a 1.5KM trail. Both were very peaceful. We'll be going again!

The boardwalk has you covered as it loops around the lake itself. Want a longer hike through the woods? The multiple trails weave through the nearby woodlands and can extend your outing to hours. Want to take a break from walking and learn? The historical importance of the lake itself as well as the Iroquois village with tons of exhibits is right there as well! And the best part is it's all in the GTA's backyard - absolutely worth it!
