While putting the sprinklers in they busted a gas line, and damaged our cement driveway with equipment. The trees were poor quality but yet they charged an exorbitant rate to purchase them. We were at their mercy because we needed CO and they knew it! We called twice to let them know the trees were dropping all their leaves and on the second visit, one of the employee mentioned that we got B grade trees instead of A. He left me with the impression that they were going to replace them, but, when he spoke to the owner, they changed their mind. The trees eventually had to be replaced by another landscape company because, Carolina Landscape refused to stand behind their trees. They lied to us and told us they paid one price for the trees and what they didn't know is one of the employees left the receipt behind so we knew the purchase price. (a fraction of what we paid ) We couldn't look at the trees anymore, so we hired another company to come in and remove them and plant new ones. Come to find out Carolina Landscape had left the trees in the original baskets and had not removed the basket from the root ball. The owner did absolutely nothing to make this right. Months later, our grass was getting hot spots and the coverage was not good. Mount Pleasant waterworks came out to check the pressure and informed us that Carolina Landscape had put in a pex line that was too small for the job. So, we had to have the pex line removed and put in a more appropriate size line. After putting in that line we had no more issues. I highly recommend not using this company! They have no customer service, it's a revolving door of employees and the owner just plain doesn't care. Using Carolina Landscape was an extremely costly mistake. I hope you

The delivery team put the sofa together(it came in pieces) on the spot in my living room like fitting a puzzle together. It was truly a 'white glove' delivery. Gorgeous furniture, genuinely one of the worst delivery and communication experiences I've had with…read moreany company. I spent two and a half months searching for the right bed -- I needed a very specific look plus real storage underneath, which is a harder combination to find than you'd think. When I finally found this one, I was thrilled I ordered around Thanksgiving and was quoted 6-8 weeks for delivery, which came in close to seven weeks -- right on schedule. The problem started at delivery. I'd paid for white glove service, and the team that arrived could not get the bed together. After working on it, they determined the company had shipped mismatched parts from two different versions of this bed -- one with a platform base, one with a hydraulic lift storage base. I'd received the drawers for one version and the headboard for the other. No assembly instructions came with it, and the instructions the company tracked down over the phone still didn't match what was in my house. Because the installers were on a time limit, they had to leave with a half-assembled, incorrect bed sitting in my bedroom. When I called to sort it out, I was told I'd simply need to "deny delivery" -- even though the crew had already left. After more back and forth, they agreed to arrange a pickup of the wrong pieces and asked if I wanted to reorder. I asked for 24 hours to think it over, then called back the next day to confirm. No one picked up. My husband had to call from a different number before anyone answered. I was then told I'd personally need to call the shipping company myself to schedule pickup of the incorrect bed -- which then sat fully assembled in my basement for two weeks before it was collected. I was told the replacement would take "another six weeks, maybe four if it could be expedited" -- all verbal, nothing ever confirmed in writing. I emailed for an update on February 19th: no response. Followed up March 16th: no response. Followed up March 30th: no response (my husband called and was told it was "waiting to be delivered"). I emailed again April 16th and finally got a reply saying the item had arrived at their warehouse the day before and was being scheduled. I heard nothing further until I followed up again on April 21st, when I was finally given a tracking number. The replacement didn't arrive until May 6th -- roughly three months after the original failed deliver. When it finally arrived, I learned the first delivery may have failed partly because parts were missing from that shipment too. The reassembly was also rough: exposed screws, uneven feet, and no center support beam. We didn't trust it enough to leave as-is, so we bought our own support board. That was on top of an expense we'd already had to absorb during the months-long wait: we'd gotten rid of our old bed frame expecting a February delivery, so once it was clear the replacement wasn't coming anytime soon, we had to buy a cheap temporary frame just to keep our new mattress off the floor. hrough all of this, there was no real acknowledgment of what had gone wrong -- no proactive updates, mostly just "we're a small business" as an explanation. I understand the constraints of a small operation, but a simple "we're on it, here's confirmation, I'll check in by Friday" would have gone a long way. Instead, I had to chase every single update myself, often unanswered. The furniture is genuinely beautiful, and I couldn't find anything comparable elsewhere for the price -- I looked. If you're local and can buy in person, you may have a much better experience. But if you're ordering for shipping and delivery, go in with your eyes open: get every promise in writing, and expect to do a lot of the follow-up yourself.

After flipping them over I saw the straps used underneath were elastic, stretched and sagging. I contacted GDC and they stated that the chairs were from Universal and out of warranty. I asked what the warranty was and the very annoyed employee (Kristen or Christine) said she would find out if that's what I wanted her to do (never heard from again) and that the store would give me their wholesale price on another purchase. She said that would be 30% off retail. After years working in retail I seriously doubt GDC only marks up 30%. And why oh why would I spend more money and not expect the same poor quality? They never offered to have them repaired by an upholsterer. Having no real options, I spent my Sunday with my trusty staple gun repairing all four chairs hoping to get another year or two out of them. Note to customer, when spending $595/chair at GDC realize it only has a one year warranty (found that out on the internet) and the quality is subpar at best. Oh, and before I addressed the sagging issue, one chair's caster spilled ball bearing onto my wood floor leaving scratches where they caught under the wheels. GDC DID send me 4 new casters. The point being the quality might just be rivaled by a big box store with little responsibility falling on GDC. Needless to say I will not be back and will share my experience with others.

That was, until a Black Friday ad showed up on our TV and my hub called out, "Hon, come look at this chair." "Yeah, it could work," I casually replied. I had a plan. First thing, Small Business Saturday, I stopped into J&K Furnishings in the Belle Hall Shopping Center (Long Point Road) as soon as it opened. I was approached immediately by Karen who took me over to the advertised chair. She was knowledgeable and patient, even knowing that there would be no sale. I was there just to check out the chair. Yes, it was comfortable, genuine buttery leather, priced well and was exactly what I wanted. I told Karen that I'd be back the next day with my husband. We returned on Sunday and worked with Ryan who also was patient and low key. He closed the sale. We both appreciated that he did not try to upsell a higher priced chair or other items. We actually asked for a protection plan. Delivery was set and confirmed with an automated phone call. The drivers called as they were on the way. The chair is perfect ... even our our fur son approves! The entire experience was easy. If you're looking to feather your nest, or freshen up tired decor, be sure to check out J&K. I hired "Trusted handyman" aka Stephen koo and wish I hadn't…read more.. I Hired him for a simple bathtub installation. Came on a Thursday and installed the tub without the required rim boards which is required by the installation instructions and was discussed in writing prior. When I reminded him day before they must be installed his response was "we know". Then they didn't install. Quite the attitude for what's the come.... He came back out on Friday to add the boards and reinstall. While I'm at work him and his counterpart text me multiple times job is complete now and they want payment. He threatens to sue me for payment on Monday...again this is the SAME DAY they finished within a couple hours since the job is "complete". Stephen sounded like a desperate money hungry psychopath in my opinion. Alarm bell starts ringing.... I tell them especially since previous days misinstallation I will inspect it and water test before paying them. They try making excuse that "you also can't use water until tile is installed". What a lie! Thank goodness I didn't listen. So the next morning I cut off the tube he had blocked and ran the water and guess what? It leaking like a wide open sieve and damaged the ceiling below. (Video below) Long story short I had to hire an actual plumber who tore out and redid all their shoddy work. The plumbing they did to the spout didn't meet code either and was off center. No washer or propert sealant was installed on the tub drain which is why it leaked. Was also installed way off center. No fasteners were installed in the tub either. It's hard finding ANYTHING that was done properly. He even had the gall to state "you telling us how to do the work and I'm just wondering why you just didn't do it yourself?? We did a good job at a fair price." I regret hiring them and wouldn't recommend...to say the least. Photos and video below. Based on previous reviews he's going to say this is "Fake" and he never worked for me. He doesn't do contracts? Just to get ahead of that....I've posted our contract on my post on Nextdoor. He's also not licensed in the state of South Carolina to perform plumbing work..... this is ILLEGAL. He lies on multiple platforms. He claims Chris is his employee also a tech then he says later he's unaffiliated with him. Never met anyone this untruthful.

I'd hire again- put up my shutters, came on time and did a speedy and great job!! lol Iread more
