Located on the 5th floor, Loft 5900 offers a kitchen, uplighting, slide shows, restrooms in the hallway, sofas, and cocktail style tables. I assume depending on the type of event you're having, depends on the furniture that's provided. We were going through a bit of a heat wave when this event occurred, so it was hot and humid to the ultimate outside. When we entered into the building it was even hotter. Literally no air was circulating in the building or on the elevator. I was a bit worried that the venue was going to be that warm too, but thankfully it wasn't. Not sure if it's like that normally, but I hope that issue gets addressed because it was truly uncomfortable. The venue itself is a cute and intimate space. It does give you the feel of a loft - hardwood floors and a chic flow, but the entryway is a bit dated and only one elevator was working that evening. It's a pretty cool option for a venue/space for an event. I think it would be perfect for a baby shower, wedding shower, cocktail party or something on a smaller scale. I'll put this on my list for future venue options, hopefully it just won't be during a heat wave.

The space was the perfect size for an intimate setting with various forms of seating/chairs available. The windows allowed for a lot of natural light and there is even a small kitchen/bar space that allowed for light refreshments to be adequately displayed. There appeared to be a separate room apart from the main area that could be used a temp office or just a separate space for setting up. Overall, the space is well designed and allows for a lot of flexibility in terms of set up. The parking in the front of the building appears to be for zone 1 Hyattsville residents only during the week, however, there was a side street or two that was not restricted. The space seems like a good flexible use space overall and I would consider using it for an intimate event myself.

Mostly rap music. The food was good. Fresh salad, fruit, meats etc. Unlimited mimosas was $25 per person. We could only order 1 flavor at a time, which there was about 8 flavors. They were good By 3pm, the place was more so filling up. What was crazy was at 4pm, the workers started breaking down the buffet-- quickly!! A group that had arrived @ 3 were caught off guard that brunch was ending. The workers did provide everyone with TAKE HOME Boxes, so we filled our boxes as fast as they were breaking it down lol Hookah guy arrived, think it was a total of $68. The hookah was good Gratuity is automatically included. Our waitress was GREAT! Only thing I didn't like, the place had her walking around in a tight leopard body suit, with her arms out, like this was the Playboy mansion. It was cold in there. So we were walking around and the crowd I'll just say wasn't the type I wanted to be around. Only one bar was open and the music was weird. So we decided to leave and when I asked the person who was taking the money what was going on tonight they said an event. Now, this event was not posted anywhere on their website or social media. So I would caution going at night or call beforehand because I don't think I would want to come back because it was nothing like it is portrayed online.

Cherry Hill Park is an RV park of sorts - but it has this banquet facility that is available for rent. Ballroom area, kitchen, bathrooms, side rooms for whatever - great facility! The one down side is that the building's cooling system is taxed when you get a whole lot of people inside carrying on - I had to step outside several times to cool off a bit.
