Our employee was grateful for the flowers and sent us a picture, when I saw the picture I felt embarrassed by the arrangement that was delivered - it did not resemble the picture: it was small in size, I could only see 2 roses (the web pic from just one side angle has at least 4 roses), the only "assorted greens" were a few ferns, and the vase that had been a selling point was a standard florist's vase. Our employee has worked for us for 35 years, lost her Dad, and what she received is mediocre arrangement. I wanted to be sure that an arrangement could be sent on the same day for the wake service, which would start at 4-7 p.m. and be followed by the funeral the next day. Marie asked what I was looking for, and I went onto her website and selected a tall, elegant arrangement. Marie gave me her personal cell phone number so I could share specific flowers and colors that I was considering, along with our sympathy card, because there did not appear to be enough room on the card section on her website for our full message. Marie created a beautiful, thoughtful arrangement that accurately reflected the occasion's solemnity. Marie gets top praise for attentive customer service, timely delivery, and understanding of my preferences during difficult times. Marie was willing to incorporate meaningful flowers and colors to personalize the arrangement, making it a fitting tribute to the deceased. I very much appreciated Marie's empathy and care in creating an arrangement for the wake, the church service, the reception after the burial, and the family's home after the services. For 30 years I've either baked or picked up a raspberry pie for my husband's birthday. Since we…read morejust moved to the area and this place seemed pretty busy, I thought I'd try one of their pies. Stopped in yesterday and got a raspberry pie and a "walnut" brownie for myself. I ate the brownie on the drive home. It was dry, hard and contained pecans, not walnuts. Not a big deal for me since I like both walnuts and pecans. But still ... The pie might be the second worst raspberry pie I've purchased (second only to one that never gelled). First, it's salty. EW! It should be sweet and tangy. Heck, my husband wouldn't mind tart. But salty? No. Second, I paid $22 for a pie with what looks and tastes like canned raspberries. The filling if very syrupy, gooey. Either that or they misused ClearJel rather than tapioca or corn starch for thickening. It's so thick, it coats the back of your throat, like you've eaten corn syrup poured over smashed raspberries. It doesn't taste like the appropriate amount of sugar was added to the filling either. It does not taste fresh at all. It tastes like one I could have picked up at the grocery store. As a matter of fact, I think Hannaford's has mini pies that are far better.
