After moving to another state, I began seeing a new provider who ended up ruining my skin with an overprocessed laser treatment. This resulted in scarring and an orange peel texture that lasted for over five months (and before my wedding). I have had problems with my weight for most of my adult life…read more At one time, in the not-too-distant past, I topped the scales at just under 300 pounds. I had tried various diets, plans, and pills. Some seemed to work for a short time, but it always seemed short-lived, and some or most of the weight returned. Last June I had gotten down to about 270 and felt like I was making a little progress. My bubble burst when my primary care provider told me that I was borderline diabetic. She told me that I needed to take my weight loss more seriously. She pointed me towards Shauna Demars to seek help. On contacting Dr. Demars, she came up with a treatment plan. She also pointed out that I may need to make some lifestyle changes. Her explanations made sense and were understandable. The day after the treatments started, I felt a difference in my food cravings. After the first week, I had gone down over 5 pounds. SUCCESS. I contacted Dr. Demars and she explained to me why I was feeling this way and why I needed to continue. Her explanations made good sense. After that first week, my feelings toward weight loss completely changed. Week after week, I was losing. My goal was 210 but I continued, now hovering around 198, which was my weight when I graduated from High School over 50 years ago. I tell everyone who will listen that if I had known how good a slimmer me felt, I would have tried a lot harder a long time ago. I am in my early 70's and haven't felt this good or had this much energy since my late 40's.
