She is a wonderful person and knows massage better than anyone I've been to before. She can find tight spots and work with you to relieve the stress on the muscle, creating lasting release. Honestly one of the best deep tissue massages I've had in my life, anywhere in the world. I had a hip issue that I wanted looked at, and Lauren did an amazing job focusing on the stain, massaging tissue while working on mobility and deep stretching. Oh my goodness, I was recommended to Lauren by my dad who swore by her. He bought me my first massage for my birthday. I got the 90 minute hot stone massage and it was absolutely amazing. While I've only had a handful of massages in my life, I must say that the massage I got from Lauren was unlike any other I've ever had -- all in good ways. Maybe it was the Lomilomi style, maybe it was the hot stones (amazing!), maybe it was simply her compassion and care -- I'm not really sure. But at any rate, the massage was fantastic. I liked that she seemed to genuinely care that I was enjoying my experience and likewise genuinely happy to hear that I was. It was the perfect balance of relaxing and productive (eg, working out knots, deep tissue, etc). I was also grateful that she managed to schedule me, even though her schedule was clearly very full and I had to come in relatively late. I was impressed that even at that late hour, my massage was not rushed or compromised in any way. Most recently, stayed in Tahoe for a week and was fortunate enough To schedule two sessions with Lauren. One word - Awesome! Lauren is a master body worker who has innate sense of listening to what your body needs and working with you to improve mobility, enhance flexibility and remove everyday aches and pains. Over my two sessions with her, she worked out my kinks / alignment issues and worked with me to open up areas in my hips and lower back which have been "asleep" for years! We had a couples massage (deep tissue) with Lauren and Marie today and could not have been more pleased. We called ahead about a week prior and were able to schedule a time that was right when we needed it to be. Lauren also did an excellent job confirming everything via text a few days prior. She gave perfect directions to her studio and they were ready for us when we arrived. The studio was perfect in terms of lighting, and decor was very pleasant. The beds were in great shape and did not move, shake or squeak. As far as the massage itself, it was a 10/10 for both of us. They asked before hand exactly what we wanted and then delivered it. I am only a little disappointed that we live so far away and cannot reschedule massages w/ these 2 therapists on a regular basis. read more

Massage and therapist hands down the best! Atmosphere not so special, but it worked. Lauren was on a Yoga trip to Hawaii when we were planning on being in Tahoe, but her darling mom contacted me and arranged for two therapists to take care of my friend and I in her absence. Only thing I might suggest is an update to the waiting area and bathroom (I get you are a tenant) and the massage rooms have a little too much stuff in them. I really needed some pampering after a couple of rough weeks at work. Lauren was very kind and explained all the steps along the way. She did an amazing body scrub, hot stone thing, and took away some of my stress! Best massage of my life. Love that she is an independent business owner in the healing arts. I had used the MindBody app to book my appointment. I did book the first appointment in the morning and caked her to confirm my spot. Lauren then texted me specific instructions on how to find her business which was very helpful. I know from other booking experiences that MindBody isn't the most straightforward software to use. Lauren doesn't have a front desk person so she has to handle all calls in between sessions. I think folks who left negative reviews had issues with communication to Mountain Aloha. However I think Lauren took the feedback to heart and implemented solutions for future corrects. Give her a chance. Looking forward to coming back to Tahoe! read more

While I am still basking in the awesomeness of the massage I just received by Marie I need to indulge myself in writing a review for this neat little place. Let me just start off by saying if you are looking for a fancy resort/hotel spoil me rotten because I am a little princess kind of place this isn't it. But if you are looking for a massage that will make you feel young, energetic, and alive again this is it! The place isn't fancy but very cozy which I prefer anyway. Marie had a heat pad on the bed under the sheets so I didn't shiver while she did the massage. What an ingenious idea! I chose the deep tissue massage for 60 minutes. $90 which is a little steeper than I pay back home for a 60 minute massage but sooooo worth it! You definitely pay for what you get. I think she even spoiled me with an extra ten minutes or so... ;). I walked in with a headache I've had for three weeks and its completely gone. Thanks Marie! Had a girls weekend in Tahoe and decided to get massages after snowboarding to release our tense muscles. The owner was able to fit the four of us in the next day on Sunday morning by contracting out a few masseuses. We were running 10-15 minutes late for our appointment and the owner still took us and honored the 60 minute massage. A lot of other place would subtract the late time from your total massage duration. I purchased the 60 minute Intuitive Integration massage for $80. My masseuse, Mallory, was really nice and worked out all the kinks in my back and neck. She applied just the right amount of pressure to provide a relaxing experience. read more

My husband found this place on yelp and we called and made an appointment... 1) they were super easy to talk to on the phone. Very accommodating. Great communication. 2) we got there and the two people that were going to give us our massages were kind, warm and inviting. They checked out our health forms and based on our body types decided which masseuse be with which one of us. 3) the massages were ridiculous. My husband and I were completely floored. Lauren is amazing. I went skiing for the first time since having a baby and when we got back to the cabin my husband had surprised me with a massage therapist coming over. I have back problems so I have some pretty hard muscles in my back and I feel that most massages aren't firm enough for me. Lauren however applied enough pressure to loosen up all my knots, she recommended me doing yoga breathing and she increased the pressure on the exhales.
