I was newly pregnant and needed a massage and facial, but didn't know if there were any protocols or dos/ donts - the owner talked it all through with me over the phone and then when I got there they took fabulous care of me! I have only gotten one other facial done (during my wedding) but I was expecting the beautician to critique my skin and tell me my pregnancy acne was horrible, but actually the opposite! She took fabulous care of me, kept reassuring me that it would clear up. The prenatal massage was fabulous! My massage therapist was super sweet and did the right amount of pressure. She also let me pick the last 15 minutes for hands or feet, which was nice! So I would definitely call them and schedule a spa day! Was looking for massage and facial treatments during a recent Tahoe trip, and Yelp came through for me. Woohoo! Location is great and easy to find with ample parking. Entrance is calm and inviting. From the moment I walked in, I already felt relaxed. I was warmly greeted upon check in and went to the bathroom prior to treatment. I love the floral wall paper and decor. The waiting room had ample reading materials, water, tea, and all. I had a 60 minute massage with Loren. She is so friendly and accommodating. She made me feel Comfortable and relaxed even in my half asleep state upon starting and ending. Haha. My only regret that it wasn't for 90 minutes. Pressure was firm, just how I like it and she really tried to work on my knots and troubled areas (shoulders, neck) . I also had no idea how tight my hips were since I usually focus on my upper body. My hubby and I returned to Biospirit for a 90" massage. I had Jenny, I always request her ahead of time, she's amazing. I don't chat during my massages and she's wonderful about understanding that. My hubby had Megan, he enjoyed his massage to. He said he fell asleep. Biospirit also has a steam room with eucalyptus they put in there. Lovely ambiance, lovely staff, and lovely massage! I'm actually not much of a massage person. Who knew those people existed, right? I just don't love getting touched by strangers and usually the massage just kinda hurts. But my sister was visiting and she just loves massages, so since she was visiting, we had to go do one of her favorite things! When we got there, we were a bit disappointed at the loud chainsaws right outside cutting down branches off of trees in the parking lot. We were hopeful that we wouldn't hear them while trying to relax. Luckily the people at the spa had the same thought (apparently they weren't aware that cutting down trees would be happening that day) and nicely moved us to a room on the other side of the building. I wasn't able to hear the chainsaws at all. All I heard was the soothing sound of spa music. I told Kebrah as soon as I sat down that I really just wanted a relaxing massage and that usually people just hurt me trying to get the kinks out of my back. I am fully aware of the kinks in my back and that the stress of my job doesn't do them any favors, but I also don't want to feel terrible for days on end after what's supposed to be a relaxing day. And lo and behold, Kebrah listened and did an amazing job at a lovely and relaxing massage. Thank you so much, Kebrah, for listening to what I asked for!! I will definitely be back again to visit Kebrah on my next trip to Tahoe! They were also very clean and I felt safe there during one of my first trips out in the pandemic. What an amazing experience! A family member gave me a gift card to Biospirit Spa for my birthday. I have never been there before so scouted out their website. Came to biospirit for a couples massage with my girlfriend. The staff is really welcoming. We had a 1 hour deep tissue massage with Chelsea and Coco. Coco's hands worked magic. It was my first professional massage and for Coco to have been my masseuse, she made quite the impact. I will definitely want to get another massage here or someplace else in the future. If they can't match Coco or at least do as well or better, I don't want it. The ambiance could have been a bit better though. BioSpirit has a really nice and professional team. We were able to book a couple massage within less than 24 hours. We arrived over a half hour early because I wanted to use the steam room as part of the treatment for 25 minutes, but we were brought in on the hour and only received (maybe) 10-15 minutes top. The steam room is coed, small and you are wearing a white towel. It was uncomfortable with men I did not know joining us. Just wish I would've gotten a heads up. Sweating, thin towel, room for the imagination. The massages were good, but they used an oil that stuffed my nose. 4/5 stars I would recommend their services, but check other day spa availability first. read more
