If you are looking at them for service then RUN!!!! They are the worst at customer service. They are rude and make harassing calls to their customers. I had nothing but problems with their office and billing from day one. Making payments to their office was near impossible and they wanted to charge additionally to take payments over the phone. Therefore checks were mailed which delayed payment. I scheduled service with a new propane company and the new company was scheduled to install their tank on 6/5/2023 and pump the propane from Central Gas's tank. Central Gas propane was difficult to respond on the request from the new company which delayed scheduling. Once we thought everything was good to go I come home on 5/31/2023 and Central Gas propane took the tank with 75% propane left in the tank. When I called Central Gas about them taking the take without being contacted, they said they were told the tank was already replaced and needed picked up. I was shocked at how stupid this sounded because if that was the case they would have noticed another propane tank set and would have also noticed the tank still at 75% full. When questioned they said oh well the tank has already been "reset". The girl in the office also said she was told my new tank was installed on Monday 5/31/2023. How is a Wednesday magically be a Monday? How could propane be pumped to a new tank WITHOUT a new tank??? These are all questions that are simple common sense. So Central Gas has not only provided poor customer service they STOLE propane that I paid for and said Oh Well!!!!!! They are the worst unethical company I have ever worked with. DO NOT USE CENTRAL GAS!!!! I can not say that enough. 375 gallons of propane stolen and will not call me back. It is a shame that as a customer you have to get the courts involved but if that what it will take I will be happy to so what needs to be done to make it right. The insane and crazy part is that Central Gas cannot even manage their own schedule. In an email they sent to me it clearly states "Your new provider can pump any gas remaining with approval from Central Gas. Your tank is set for pick up as of July 1st, 2023". So how does my tank again get picked up on 5/31/2023?

    Garretts Propane of Rogersville

I just found this Yelp app in order to post a review of businesses that I've had issues with. So I…read morewanted to post my review of Thompson propane which was formerly Garretts Propane in Rogersville Missouri. When I lived in Rogersville for 7 years I had Garrett's propane and had excellent service, no issues whatsoever. However when I subscribed and paid for service in advance with Thompson propane who had bought Garrett's out I had nothing but problems. The main issue is when I was moving from Springfield to Sparta Missouri and I had a tank in Springfield with propane that I had already paid for sitting there and they were supposed to set a second time in Sparta in a designated specific spot as set by the trailer park and then transfer that fuel from one tank to the other tank and then pick up the empty tank and take it away. I gave them two and a half weeks notice for this move as I was moving myself and my home from Springfield to Sparta as I said. The weather turned extremely poor and got down into the single digits and I went without heat of any kind for 7 days and the temperature was hovering around the six degree mark. During that week. I begged and pleaded to have the propane transfer over to the secondary tank to no avail. I've been had to threaten small claims court action in order to get the service moved over. Personnel with Thompson propane lied and said that they did not know where to set the secondary tank the propane line is buried underground in this trailer park and the tanks set side-by-side with each other so that statement is completely false and a lie. The propane that was in the tank in Springfield was already paid for in advance it was my fuel I wanted to have it moved over in some way shape or form but I was allowed to freeze for 7 days while they did nothing. I had to contact the main corporate office and negotiate out terms of transfer which was finally implemented when they brought in a vehicle from Buffalo Missouri to do the transfer which should have been done by staff down here requesting that a vehicle be sent from Buffalo down here to help out with their vehicle transfer breakdown. The fuel was then transferred the transfer fee was waived. But Nikki in Rogersville a technician there was extremely hostile from the get-go and the whole process left me feeling angry and upset. So I found another company Hood's propane they would take over the service they contacted Nikki in Rogersville to see about sucking out the rest of my fuel that again was paid for by me and she said that they had better not touch their tank and they could not access my fuel. She also said that if there was any fuel left in the tank when they came to pick up their tank she would charge me a $75 transfer fee. And she also said that I couldn't have my fuel out of that tank because somehow I went from having a zero balance to a $13 balance?! Which is why Hood could not suck out the remaining fuel as she said I had an outstanding balance of $13 which I have never seen or understood where I would have came from because the fuel was paid for in full and they waive the transfer fee so there should not have been any balance in the bill that I have in my possession shows a zero balance. So I went out there and opened up the valve and let the rest of the propane expire into the atmosphere. Leaving the tank empty! Hood's propane has been very diligence and faithful and kind and their service bringing me a replacement tank keeping my tank filled dealing with my payments from LIHEAP and being kind and gracious and I highly recommend them and I would never leave Hood's propane under any circumstances Tiffany and Leon have been far superior in service than anybody that I have ever met in any venue. There's something wrong with Nikki in Rogersville there seems to be a lot of anger and hatred and I don't know why it would have been directed towards me. This is why I am posting my response against them so that people could avoid them altogether.
