Dr Scott Kimche is fantastic. Fastidious, gentle but precise. I really like going to Mountain Dentistry and the staff is so nice.

Kimche came into the office at 9:00 on a Sunday morning and had the crown replaced ( painlessly) in half an hour at an extremely reasonably cost.

I asked about teeth whitening too and the final results were natural seamless perfection. The teeth whitening was painless and 100% worth it. A couple years later my bonding looks the exact same as when I first got it. To my delight I learned about his extensive facial aesthetics. He is a perfectionist with Botox and can fix any issue. His customized placement is impressive (and this is coming from a seasoned Botox user!). Recently I tried a lip lift with lip threads and a half syringe of filler. The definition of my lip border and smoothing of lip lines is exactly what I needed. My husband also sees Dr. Peterson for cleaning and bonding. We are pleased to say the least!

My personal experience with this dentist office has been one that I'll never forget. I'll also never suggest this dental practice to anyone I know due to my personal first hand experiences. I had previously been a patient at Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry. Unfortunately, I again needed work done on two separate teeth, one that Dr. Peterson had previously worked on and another that required more immediate medically based attention, etc... Simply stated, after an initial appointment was made, a medical treatment plan was set into motion. I then returned for my prearranged appointment. During the follow-up appointment, the wrong tooth was repaired, and I was sent home with an apology from Dr. Peterson, with the promise of a quick repair on the tooth that was not repaired, etc etc... During further discussions with Dr. Peterson's office about the wrong tooth being repaired, the incident was blamed on a, "Communication miscommunication issue". Ultimately, I decided to give this dental practice anther opportunity to repair the original tooth, and follow-through on the repair work they had already started. As such, I made several phone calls to the dental office regarding my medical affairs. During one of these discussions, an employee of Dr. Peterson willingly and openly divulged and/or admitted that they had been recording our telephone conversations regarding my medical affairs. Since the employees admission possibly violated my HIPAA rights, I obviously reached out to the Utah State Health Department, and Dr. Peterson directly, etc... During this process, I returned to Dr. Peterson's office for another consultation (in person) to discuss the events that had transpired with the employee and to address my untreated tooth, etc... During this appointment, once Dr. Peterson learned that I had spoken to the Heath Department, I was then told by Dr. Peterson directly, "Any further medical treatment at his facility was contingent on weather I continued, or discontinued speaking to the Health Department about his employees actions". In other words, in short, this dental provider has literally tried to silence me from speaking with the Utah State Health Department regarding the actions of his employee by withholding further medical treatment, etc... Now I'm stuck with the most horrible dental experience I've ever had to deal with in my life time. I've literally been left with a deteriorating temporary tooth needing a crown, while the original tooth has still remained damaged and untreated for months due to what they have described as a "Communication miscommunication issue". Simply put, due to the situation I'm now having to seek out the services of an oral surgeon to review the dental work that was done. I'm also stuck in the position of having to locate another professional dental specialist to finish the uncompleted dental work and/or uncompleted repairs, in addition to completing the required forms for the proper Utah State agencies. Again, this review is based off my personal experiences with this dental provider... As such, I simply will not, and cannot recommend this dental provider's services, etc...

I am writing this review regarding my experience with Platinum Dental of Park City due to concerns…read moreof misrepresentation of dental necessity, unprofessional conduct, unauthorized appointment cancellation, and failure to refund a deposit. On January 15, I was seen at Platinum Dental for a standard cleaning. During this visit, Dr. Bell informed me that I needed a crown on a filling that had originally been placed when I was a child. Dr. Bell stated that my tooth was "rotten" and that failure to get a crown as soon as possible would result in the need for a root canal. During this discussion, Dr. Bell's demeanor was extremely condescending and unprofessional. During this appointment, multiple X-rays were taken despite my insurance having already noted that Platinum Dental took excessive X-rays at my prior cleaning only six months earlier. At the end of the appointment, I scheduled a crown procedure for February. The receptionist, Sevi Torrez, told me the cost of the crown after insurance would be $1,477.50 and required a $50 deposit to hold the appointment. I paid for the fluoride treatment from the cleaning and the $50 deposit. Ms. Torrez stated that the deposit was fully refundable as long as the appointment was canceled at least 48 business hours in advance. During this interaction, she also asked if I wanted to cancel because I was "just looking for the cheapest place," stating that their office would not be the cheapest. Later that same day, I scheduled a second-opinion appointment with another dental office in town. When I called Platinum Dental to request that my X-rays be sent to the new office, I was told that the X-rays had already been sent per the new office's request and that my upcoming crown appointment had been canceled by the new office. When I asked the new dental office, they confirmed that they did NOT cancel my appointment. On January 27, I was seen by the second dentist, who performed multiple tests and took new images. This dentist determined that there was NO structural damage or health issue with the tooth in question. I was informed that I did NOT need a crown, did NOT need to replace the filling, and did NOT need a root canal. The tooth was simply stained. The new dentist polished the tooth, and the issue was resolved. I never needed a crown. Additionally, prior to attending this second opinion appointment, the second dental office quoted $700 for a crown, if needed. Over 50% less than what Platinum Dental intended to charge for a procedure I did not need. After this appointment, I immediately contacted Platinum Dental to ask why they stated that the new office had canceled my appointment and to request the refund of my $50 deposit. Ms. Torrez stated that she canceled the appointment herself when the new office requested my X-rays. She also stated that the deposit could not be refunded until my insurance paid for the January 15 cleaning. I contacted my insurance company immediately, and they confirmed that payment for the cleaning had already been processed and provided an Explanation of Benefits. Despite this, Platinum Dental has failed to refund my $50 deposit. I have called and emailed multiple times. When I am able to reach someone, I am told they "have to wait for accounting," but accounting has never returned my calls. As of today, I have still not received my $50 deposit refund. The way this dental office operates is absolutely disgusting. 0/10. DO NOT GO HERE. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Dr. Vanessa and all of the staff were super nice and really supportive. But at the same time they care about my teeth and how I took care of them. While it may have felt like a lecture at the time, I know that they care and wanted what was best for my teeth. Because of that attention, the two dentists that I have gone to since seeing Dr. Vanessa have said nothing but praises about the work that has been done. When I ended up having to move out of the area, they helped me find a dentist that was in the area I was moving. Unfortunately that dentist was not longer in practice.
