Just finished a fantastic class 4 river rafting trip with Mountain Descents. The safety training was through, equipment was in great shape and our transportation was good. All of the staff was outstanding and our guide Amicaya was knowledgable, friendly and great to be with. If you are on the fence on going or not, don't pass up this trip. We really enjoyed the thrilling adventure combined with the personal attention and local atmosphere. We highly recommend Good Times! While staying in Three Rivers to visit the national parks, we were struck by the beauty of the Kaweah River and realized that the conditions were great for some white water rafting. When we called, Amicaya was very accommodating and added us to a trip going out the next day. Our guide, Scott, was fantastic - a knowledgeable expert, an attentive leader, and a storyteller. We did the full day trip and it was absolutely worth it! The rapids were exciting and challenging from the moment we pushed off the bank. Along the way, we learned a bit about Three Rivers and the surrounding environment. There were two other rafts in the group, including people of all different experience levels. Had so much fun doing white water rafting with Mountain Descents. Erika/Erica (not sure on the spelling) is an amazing guide. Super fun, very knowledgable, felt safe during the entire time. We really appreciated the photos at the end of the trip...someone on the team goes down the river on a kayak and takes awesome candid shots. The price is very affordable. We just got back from our trip to sequoia and we decided to do the white water rafting on our last day! It was so amazing, the guide john was funny and made everyone feel comfortable. He was very safety conscious yet also let us all have fun and kept the trip very interesting! None of us fell in surprisingly, which we were all pretty shocked by but it was warming to know that they had two safety boats with us on the trip just in case any one did. Everyone that worked here that we interacted with seemed like they loved their jobs and they were all so friendly and made this a unforgettable time! Go visit them if you get the chance!! We just got back home yesterday from an awesome trip to Three Rivers, where we whitewater rafted with Mountain Descents. Our group of 16 was split amongst three rafts. I was a little nervous about rafting in the weeks leading up to the trip, but after the safety instructions and seeing the professionalism and knowledge of our guides melted away the nerves and anxiety in minutes. The guide on our raft was Ama, who was funny, personable, kept us informed on what was coming next on the river and how to prepare for it. He made a point to learn all our names and was also able to laugh and joke around with our crazy group. His instructions on how to row were straight forward and easy to follow - and we managed not to flip over! We did have a couple people go overboard but we were able to pull them right back up. Adventure of a lifetime and the highlight of my summer so far. THANK YOU AMA AND THANK YOU MOUNTAIN DESCENTS! We'll do this again soon! Easy 5 stars! read more

WOW! Okay, so this has been a bucket list item for me for some time so I was super excited (and a little nervous) when my buddy said he wanted to do a rafting trip for his 30th birthday. I can honestly say this is one of the absolute best times I have ever had! The guides were beyond fantastic and made you feel safe, were funny, and above all made sure everyone was having a great time. The professionalism and attention to detail is superb. They provide lunch which exceeded my expectations and they make sure you get little breaks so you don't get worn out. This river is not only scenic, but has history and the rapids being class 2-4 provide a fun and challenging experience. I 110% recommend this as a must do adventure and can't wait to go back. I truly wish the people that work for GTA the best and want to thank them for one of the most fun experiences of my life. They also truly made my buddies birthday one to remember! read more

We went rafting in Three Rivers last week. What a blast. Our guide Jessica was so fun and she seemed to know every rock and tree in the river. She made it safe and fun for everyone. What a good bunch of people these guys are. This was my first time rafting. The whole time l was at ease knowing and sensing their experience was seasoned. They hired a safety scouting boat to follow/lead our caravan of 3 boats down Three Rivers- this cost them more money so we all would have an extra layer of safety and protection. They provided us a great lunch half way down the river. I couldn't be happier to go again to the little town called Three Rivers where everyone I ran into at the local drugstore and market were so warm and friendly. A great place to drive to and get away from it all. read more
