We had a really enjoyable experience -especially for a first-time horseback ride with my daughter!…read moreSarah (I believe that was her name) was great--super knowledgeable about the horses and very kind throughout the process. Pros: * Great atmosphere for families * Friendly, informative staff * My 9-year-old daughter absolutely loved it * A good intro to horseback riding if you're looking to try something new Cons (just things to keep in mind): * If you're brand new to riding, be sure to request a calmer horse. I was paired with Tex, who hadn't had a rider in about 6 years. He lifted his head often, which made me feel a bit anxious as a beginner. I felt like I was going to fall off. * The parking situation is confusing--there are two driveways, and we accidentally pulled into the one that leads to the owner's home. She was not happy about it and let us know. We moved the car, but just a heads up to look for signs or ask where to park. Overall, it was a good experience--my daughter had a blast, and it's something we'll remember. Just be sure to communicate your comfort level and experience before saddling up. I'd still recommend it for families looking for a unique and fun outing!

I had been in contact with Sara for about a week, we had good conversation at first and she even…read moreasked me for recommendations for her booking system. She let me know it was not working. And they no longer had one. They were "doing it old school" We found a date that was available and let her know it was for a date. She said a deposit was required, which to us seems totally normal, I repeatedly asked where I could place the deposit, for days I asked again and again. I even offered to come in person. I took the time off work for this date and hoped she'd respond considering we had been in communications and I was very quick to ask about securing the date. she knew the date I wanted and agreed it was available. I asked multiple times if she could please let me know if it was no longer available. Truthfully I could have booked elsewhere . I'm very disappointed with the lack of professionalism. the date passed and still didn't hear from her. With no notice, I was left last minute trying to scramble and find something else. Days later she did not offer any apology for the lack of communication that just dropped out of no where. She expected me to still want to book. She Just sent me somewhere else to contact her on WhatsApp. Mind you there is no where on any of her social media that says anything about booking elsewhere or another number. Why didn't she send this 2 weeks prior when I inquired about booking? Not sure but she definitely ruined my plans. I was pretty devastated. I gave it some time, before deciding to leave this review. It's just the lack of professionalism empathy or accountability fr her own actions that I felt necessary others know. This was a really significant and important date. I personally feel If you can't do it, you don't just ghost clients especially after talking to them every day for over a week and confirming a date. If you have an important date and want to book a horse back riding experience this would not be my first choice.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with unhurried charm, service with a smile, and a feeling that we were more family than guests. The Rankin family and staff are truly exceptional. Sarah, Clint, Shelby, Emma, Chris, Ms. Glenda, and Mr. Bill are world-class hosts who made our stay far exceed every expectation. We were celebrating our anniversary, and on our very first night they surprised us with a delicious cake, making us feel incredibly special and cared for. The horseback riding was wonderful, taking us through beautiful meadows and across the valley. One of my favorite experiences was visiting Sarah's farm, where we met goats, a donkey, chickens, mini horses, farm cats, and even a baby calf that I had the chance to bottle-feed! We loved the swimming pool, they have archery, a fire pit, pool table, or if you want to just be quiet and read a book that is amazing too. The Fresh air was wonderful and we were able to nap and just enjoy reconnecting. Evenings were filled with fun, family-centered activities. We loved learning square dancing on our first night, and the second evening featured a unique Rankin Ranch game that had everyone laughing and connecting. Sunday was especially memorable. The day began with a delicious waffle breakfast, followed by horseback riding and a hayride to a gorgeous meadow for lunch. The Rankin Ranch beef burgers were outstanding--honestly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The afternoon horseshow tournament was the perfect ending to a wonderful day. What makes Rankin Ranch so special is that it's truly an unplugged experience. There are no TVs and no Wi-Fi, but what you gain is far more valuable: peace, relaxation, meaningful conversations, and the chance to reconnect with the people around you. As a bonus, the ranch offers subscription boxes featuring their incredible beef, as well as quarter, half, and whole cattle available for shipment. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming about our next visit. Thank you, Rankin Ranch, for being such a class act and for creating an experience we'll never forget. We can't wait to come back. I

DO NOT recommend a visit even if your patience is high and your expectations are low. If you go:…read morerequest a bed without exposed mattress springs; know BBQ dinner portions are mini & insufficient BBQ sauce for everyone; the fishing lake is a gunky algae divot; your trail ride may just walk in a square around the barn; prepare for extremely ill-mannered children that are allowed to stay; & accept staff apologies but receive no satisfaction. IMHO inheriting a ranch does not qualify one to host Dudes.
