I felt like I was going to fall off. * The parking situation is confusing--there are two driveways, and we accidentally pulled into the one that leads to the owner's home. She was not happy about it and let us know. We moved the car, but just a heads up to look for signs or ask where to park. And they no longer had one. They were "doing it old school" We found a date that was available and let her know it was for a date. She said a deposit was required, which to us seems totally normal, I repeatedly asked where I could place the deposit, for days I asked again and again. I even offered to come in person. I took the time off work for this date and hoped she'd respond considering we had been in communications and I was very quick to ask about securing the date. she knew the date I wanted and agreed it was available. I asked multiple times if she could please let me know if it was no longer available. Truthfully I could have booked elsewhere . I'm very disappointed with the lack of professionalism. the date passed and still didn't hear from her. With no notice, I was left last minute trying to scramble and find something else. Days later she did not offer any apology for the lack of communication that just dropped out of no where. She expected me to still want to book. She Just sent me somewhere else to contact her on WhatsApp. Mind you there is no where on any of her social media that says anything about booking elsewhere or another number. Why didn't she send this 2 weeks prior when I inquired about booking? Not sure but she definitely ruined my plans. I was pretty devastated. I gave it some time, before deciding to leave this review. It's just the lack of professionalism empathy or accountability fr her own actions that I felt necessary others know. This was a really significant and important date. I personally feel If you can't do it, you don't just ghost clients especially after talking to them every day for over a week and confirming a date. If you have an important date and want to book a horse back riding experience this would not be my first choice.

Although we could not ride horses (they were unavailable for rides today), we brought a little food and ate at a picnic table in the shade next to the creek. Kole was super kind in giving us a tour of the lavender garden, where we harvested our own bunch. He also introduced us to the horses, mules, and chickens. He was the same age as my kids, so they had fun talking and laughing. We also saw quail, honey bees, and the cutest bumble bees. The ranch is situated in a hidden pocket of the foothills. The drive to get there off the 395 is simple and beautiful, and also near the Alabama Hills. I'm so glad we visited. There was no one else there. It was so nice and peaceful. Definitely well worth the trip if you're passing through.

He does martial arts but hates all other sports. His favorite part of JRC is sleeping outside. He also loves mountain boarding, archery and fishing. He does chores willingly and successfully at JRC whereas there are many more complaints at home. If I sent my daughter here, she'd probably hate it because she doesn't want to sleep outside. My son didn't love it from the get go, he missed home. That's pretty normal, and he got over it. In the beginning years, he might falter in his excitement because he was afraid of the dark but that faded too. Send your kids if you think they'd might like it. The horses are well trained and cared for, and the staff is attentive, patient and kind. The ride was beautiful. We did a one hour tour that crossed a creek twice and went up and down hills. The staff does a verbal training and allows some time for practice--making sure that everyone is comfortable before heading out.
