How do you say you're a truckstop and not have a gas station. Unbelievable!! And diesel was more expensive. Stay away!

Felt that I had to make a statement just stopped traveling to Washington DC. Stop to get hot drink…read more and food. Ordered 2 for 6 breakfast items. We sat at watched our sandwiches being made and we both looked at each other at the same time and could not believe the size on theses mini breakfast muffin and croissant being prepared. Totally the smallest breakfast sandwiched we ever seen. Honestly what the heck and how can you confidently sell such a pathetic looking breakfast item. will go elsewhere like rutters and or McDonald after this. Someone in company development really need to revamp and look at this. just suggesting. this in our eyes was a complete rip off.

Even though that was the case I saw the familiar, welcoming, red awning in the distance and was relieved...both figuratively and literally. Most of my trips back home take place in the evening and makes for stops at gas stations the norm. Being a Sheetz guy, I always seek one out. This one is located right at the end of an exit ramp/beginning of an on ramp. What's a bit odd about this is that it abuts what appears to be a motel(?). So it is a bit odd to possibly have an audience while you are stop to fuel or stretch your legs. Inside, it is a decent size. Well stocked and organized. Clean and has a great flow. The facilities were superb and made for quick use. Once done inside I stretched my legs outside for a bit before I got back in my vehicle to continue my trek.

Sheetz - Seriously? I asked for my sandwich to be toasted. It is toasted however you put the cheese on afterwards.

If you had told me that, while traveling back home from a beautiful Father's Day lake excursion…read morewith my wife and three kids at Cunningham Falls, I would end up standing outside of this Thurmont High's location speaking to a police office that was summoned by the cashier within 5 minutes of our arrival, I would have told you to stop dreaming. But the dream was an unfortunate reality. We stopped for gas Sunday and my wife walked into the store and asked for $20 in gas. The cashier, Dustin, processed the payment and it was deducted immediately from our account (we get push notifications on any charge). When attempting to pump the gas...nothing. My wife went back into ask Dustin what the issue was, and he replied that the "pump must have reset itself" so we would, INEXPLICABLY, have to pay AGAIN for the gas and wait 3-4 days for the original authorization to fall off. Folks, in this economy, where every dollar matters, especially at the pump, it is an absurd notion for a gas station to place the burden on the customer to "double pay", at least up front, for a mistake that had nothing to do with us. My wife was rightfully upset (nothing physical, just simply asking how they felt this was an acceptable resolution) and asked for me to come into the store to talk to Dustin. As I was walked in, fully ready to talk amicably and congenially to find a proper solution, this dude had already called the Thurmont police LOL. An officer walks into the store, asks him what the issue is and I immediately offered to step outside and discuss this simple HIGH's error that put us in the current bind. To avoid any smoke, I agree to re-pay for $10 in gas (enough to get us home) and be on our way. However, before going, I ensured the cop stood right there to watch me attempt to pump gas. Again, nothing, and again, $10 debited from my account. After wiping the omelette off of his face, Dustin said there must be something wrong with the pump and asked us to move to another one. Imagine that. Rather than discussing the matter civilly from the start, knowing that High's own gas pump was the culprit, he jumped to calling the police on customers who were peacefully protesting the request to repay for our gas. Props to Officer Eyler of the Thurmont police for realizing the ridiculousness of the call and assuring my two toddlers in the back of my car that everything was okay. Some things aren't about money - it's principle. Today's consumer is already under attack - we don't need "double pay or talk to the police" ultimatums from a chain that hauled in $120 million in revenue last year. Stay away from this place, unless you enough to pay double for your gas and potential bail money.

Make a lot of drives to southern PA for skiing, or visiting friends north of the Mason Dixon Line. Stop here fairly frequently, to get gas, coffee, snacks. It has a decent selection. Due to the nature of convenience, you'll pay a little more. Time is money though. I like this because it's next to the Roy Roger's. Also the employees are efficient and friendly. It's clean and an easy going place. Was pleased to be here this weekend.
