12/27/23 My mammogram at Skagit Health Women's Imaging…read moreCenter was not a nice experience. It was a painful and stressful event and I was ready to walk out & go somewhere else. Today's visit at Skagit was similar to the previous time I had my mammogram at Skagit years ago. I had only used Skagit this year again because I had learned that they had new equipment that they didn't have the last time I used their service. That apparently was not what caused the painful event. Skagit may not properly train their employees who work with the women & their breasts. I am a thin 62 year old woman who has had mammograms at other health centers for many years in the past, however no other place but Skagit has done this to me. Today I continually made it clear that what was happening wasn't tolerable. The tech continually made it clear that she needed to do what she was doing because the radiologist needed it. The tech & I worked together to finish the event but I will not ever be going to Skagit for mammograms again. The office people were fine. Please tell me how improper form would be a quick punch that is sending continuous pain down his pelvic region and legs? They dismissed him and just gave him muscle relaxers. If he wanted muscle relaxers her would have gone and purchased a 1000MG edible from a dispensary. Instead of giving proper care and concern like a normal human, they belittle and make you feel less than. Might I add the two judging him for "probably because of his form" you two were pudgy.As well could use some daily sunscreen and a nice exfoliant might I add, since we're judging people based on what we don't know about them. The clinic clearly does not care about reviews unless they're positive. Unfortunately we drove almost an hour here to get here when they opened, and needed up sitting an hour in the waiting room to be seen. Don't let the 4.5 stars fool you. All of the 1 star reviews are very much correct and you are 100% better off taking business elsewhere unfortunately if you want to be taken care of. If you don't care about helping people, why work in healthCARE? Disgusting behavior all around.

I've been taking my son here for about 5 years. My son was…read morehaving an extremely painful ongoing and somewhat baffling problem and after ending up in the ER again, the doctor there was very concerned and made some calls to see if a colleague he knew would be interested in taking the case. That colleague was Dr Lowe at Skagit Pediatric. She is a lovely caring person and her gentle yet no nonsense manner has been just right for my son (and me). She has advocated for him time and again for a variety of reasons. She's called his school to make sure they have been adequately (and legally) supporting him. She's called in various other specialists whom she's thought would be helpful. She's monitored him consistently over the years and is the person responsible for getting his health back on track. Dr Lowe has spent time getting to know my son. This is no easy thing. I don't have enough characters to go into how important this is for him. The second he even slightly senses condescension or the person who's too flippant and thinks they know where he's coming from (they probably don't), he shuts down. If it's bad enough (for him), he will fire them as his provider. He doesn't mess around and Dr Lowe has passed every hurdle with flying colors. With that said, he has also seen several other providers at Skagit Pediatric when Dr Lowe hasn't been available and every single one has been thorough, caring, and really listens. The receptionists at the front have never been anything but nice and caring. Sometimes a bit disorganized but never rude or dismissive. I've spoken with them on the phone many times and in person even more. l've also seen them handle any number of other people and l've never seen anything other than friendliness. Despite the difficulties that COVID has presented, we still have had nothing but proper, friendly care from Skagit Pediatric.

I would advise parents to stay away from this practice. We would have been a new patient to this…read morepractice, but since the previous clinic (where my daughter's medical records are stored) is short staff and they are behind on faxing her records to Skagit.. they want to reschedule her appointment to a different day and time. This does not work for us since I have limited PTO, and I do not have the ability to predict when my daughter's asthmatic airway was going to be reactive to the cold weather. They gave terrible customer service because of a cough and we were seeking medical attention to have her breathing medication renewed since the prescription expired. They followed COVID protocols to the extreme, and they do not take into consideration that the parent knows and understands their own kid's health. My daughter did not have a fever or shortness of breath. She has a reactive airway and the cold weather makes it reactive. My daughter is allowed to have a cough. My daughter should not be denied medical care for their convenience. This is a terrible practice that eliminated humanity from their protocols.

They have done an incredible amount of tests to determine what is ailing me. They saved my life. I had a doctor who shall remain nameless, but is from Anacortes Wa who wouldn't help me get oxygen when I got out of the hospital. Thank God for UGH/peace health professionals. I contacted them and they loaned me 2 big bottles and the tubing etc. Not many hospitals would do that. Like I said, amazing!

I am very displeased with the care that my dad received on January 30th and 31st of this year. He…read morewent in with a cough and had a hard time breathing. They did some tests and told us that he had RSV and that it was treatable and he would more than likely go home that night. He was being treated in a bed in the hallway and was sharing time on the monitors with another patient, so the staff was not continually monitoring him. I feel like they underestimated the severity of his condition and did not give him the attention that he needed because they were understaffed and too busy. Within 3-4 hours of being diagnosed with RSV and not doing anything to help or treat his symptoms, my dad went into cardiac arrest and died. The doctor admitted to us at the time of his death that they exhausted all of their resources of epinephrin and could not save him. I feel like they missed the signs of what was coming and are too blame for his death. I will never agree to be taken to United General, for any reason, if I were to have a medical emergency. I feel like this place should be shut down if they can't provide proper care and have enough staff/ equipment/drugs.
