This is our third year in a row coming to this campground. This place is still awesome. Booking and checking into sites is easy. Any questions there is always a friendly staff member to steer you in the right direction. Tent sites, RV sites, cabins, and even a yurt, your choice. My 2 favorite sites are 69 and 74 with 74 over looking the lake. All sites are clean. Landscape very well maintained. Pool is excellent. Laundry room, dish washing area, rec center. Outside chess board, fishing, paddle boats and kayaks. I highly recommend this campground. Great place to camp with kids also. Right down the road from santas villiage amusement park. read more

Mountain Lake Camping Resort is one of our favorite locations to camp in New England. Located a couple hours north of Nashua and Manchester it's the perfect place to getaway without being too far from home. Everything about this campground shows that the owners take great pride in it. They have online bookings, text communications (including reservation and quiet time reminders) and they have recently added a checkin booth so you don't have to hop out of your vehicle to go into the office to register. The views of the lake are gorgeous (especially in the Fall) and the landscaping is well maintained. There are several amenities like a pool w/ water slides, dog park, beach, fishing dock, dog swimming dock, paddle boat/kayak rentals, playground and oversized chess/checkers. You can also order homemade muffins to pick up in the morning for breakfast. Their campground store is also one of the cleanest and most well stocked ones that I've ever seen. The prices were also very reasonable (although I really wanted a hoodie as a memento and $40 was just a little more than I was comfortable spending). The biggest negative of this campground is that if you have one of the sites near the front there is quite a bit of road noise. That kills a bit of the ambiance while trying to kick back and relax but the beautiful views from the sites near the front mostly make up for the sounds of loud vehicles passing by. It's also not enough of a nuisance to rate them any lower than 5 stars. In addition to regular camping sites they also offer yurt and cabin rentals which is a nice option for people who don't own camping gear or aren't fans of traditional camping. The ultimate in campgrounds! The view of the lake is breathtaking ... especially with the fall colors! The care in every detail at this place is amazing. The general store, games building, heated pool with slides, playground area, laundry room, outdoor activities & the lake are all maintained to perfection! My family and I had a chance to stay here this past weekend and we absolutely loved it! As soon as we pulled in, we knew it was was going to be a great stay because the pool was inviting and the campground was so clean maintained. The campground is family owned and operated and are extremely friendly. There is also quite a lot to do here on property. The resort includes a nice lake for paddle boating, canoeing, fishing, and swimming, a game room with arcade games, a pool table, and ping pong table, and outdoor horseshoes, checkers, chess, and a large playground with pirate ship! The pool they have has two water slides that are awesome and it's heated to keep it warm with the cold New England air. They also have a nice camp store with everything you could possibly need for camping to include games for a rainy day as well. The bath house is the cleanest I have ever seen on a campground and it is definitely cleaned regularly. If you are looking for an amazing campground to try out, you will not be disappointed with Mountain Lake Resort!!! read more

We thought we were going to love it here, the reviews seemed really great! We did not love it! We didn't hate it, but we definitely didn't love it! They are really nice people but there's allowed no fun! WAY TO MANY RULES! Dogs can't be on the grass only in dog park. Only good thing about this camp ground is, it's in NH and the kids don't have to wear their helmets. U can't have a ball in the pool, u can't horse play in the pool. U can't be on the side where the slides are at all. U come down off slide and u get out! My son was swimming an his father and 17 year old brother were right across the little road way an she told my son he couldn't be in the pool without a adult Literally anything to do with fun is a no go here! Showers get cleaned twice a day but covered in sand and you have five mins to shower! How does a female with long, thick hair who needs to shave, shower in 5 mins?! BUT they are free and that's a super plus! So I went as fast as I could and cleaned the hair off the walls as well as the sand on the floor. You get two devices for WiFi and the rest you have to pay for, and the WiFi is not good at all! We've been to a couple different camp grounds and haven't ever been asked to provide rabies proof, which was odd bc not like we carry that with us but they were very nice and let me go with a photo I had of her tag. The owners are really nice, so isn't the workers in the store. It just seems to be to "uptight" I guess as like I said before u just can't really have fun read more

My sister and I stayed for a few nights with the kids in the Yurt! We loved it here and our view was gorgeous! The Yurt was spacious, with power and a small refrigerator and a ceiling fan! We also had a picnic table , fire pit and grill! We were an easy walk to the beach, the store and the pool but not too close so we still felt privacy! The camp ground was quiet and well kept! We can't wait to go back next summer! read more

Nice level sites and very clean, well kept campground. The majority were not wooded but had some privacy with a few trees between some sites. No problems with water, electric or sewer at our site. They seemed to have activities for the kids and a nice pool slide that some of the adults enjoyed with their children. Staff we interacted with were very polite and friendly. The "lake" did not have a large sanded bottom but the small beach area was and certainly nice for a short kayak trip around it. I would have given 5 stars but the WiFi was unreliable and there were two "free" WiFi log ins with our site. Any additional were a small fee. If you needed the internet to do any work this place would not be reliable. There is no cable so we used our Roku to catch up on news and weather before planning our day trips. read more

Mountain Lake is my favorite campground to go to. It is extremely clean and well taken care of. The family who owns it is extremely nice. They have crafts for the kids. The lake is good for fishing, swimming, and kayaking/canoeing. The pool is a perfect spot to swim and have some fun on the water slides. There are arcade games and playset for the kids to play. The view is amazing and stargazing is perfect on a good night. The campground is friendly for all ages. Everyone is so sweet and I can't wait for the next trip. read more

This is a very clean, well maintained campground. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The store is very well stocked with anything you might have forgotten. They have just finished a new pool with two water slides for children(over 36") and adults. I don't know who has more fun. Probably the adults. They have shaded tent sites to full pull through RV sites. They also have cabins a Tipi and a yurt. The restrooms are always clean and so is the laundry room. This is a very family friendly place to stay. read more

This campground is a great place for the whole family.! The sites are pristinely kept as the entire campground is maintained daily. We had the most beautiful view of the lake with a vast mountain range in the distance. So peaceful, so serene. The staff are the owners and family who are so amazingly friendly and genuine. Something so rare these days. They work very hard every day to keep this place up and it shows!! They have campsites for RVs and Log cabins to rent. There is also a teepee and a yurt to rent on the premises,;kayaks,paddle boats, playground, a swimming pool with a huge slide and a giant sized chess and separate checkers games. They even have a separate place with an arcade! A small store is on the property,as well as a laundry area and beautiful shower / lavatory facilities. We will be happily returning next year to enjoy this great campground once again. read more

The bathrooms were immaculate, the cabins were clean and the mattresses were comfortable. I was invited to accompany two families to Mountain Lake Campground and RV Park. My camper was being used by a family member traveling to New York so I decided to rent a cabin. Upon arrival, the office staff was absolutely wonderful. She directed me to my cabin which, upon entering, was immaculate. It was roomy, clean and located perfectly for us near the pool and rec hall. The entire campground was clean, all the staff was friendly, the store on site offered just enough for what an average camper would need at a reasonable price. They have two amazing water slides in the pool, they offer WiFi and they are located close to many places one might want to visit in the White Mountains. My family spent some time at this campground last week. It was one of the cleanest campgrounds we have been too. The family who owns this campground are awesome. Pool and slides are so much fun. 10 minutes from Santa's Village and we had a blast. Sites are a good size the cabins are beautiful. We will be back next year! Not a great campground for anyone looking to have fun at night, including well behaved, if not slightly loud adults. They are very focused on young children, but their marketing materials do not reflect that at all, nor did their staff when I called and informed them that I would be traveling with five 16-21 year olds. After 10:30 pm (whether there were complaints of noise or not) the owners drive around in a golf cart, speaking to anyone they could hear over the sound of their engine. Instead of putting us in the corner of the campground where we wouldn't bother anyone, they put us smack in the middle of everything. The site was all dirt and rocks with hardly a scrap of grass, and was on an incline. The fire pit was on the edge of the site in the least level spot which made it impossible for everyone in our party to sit around the fire. The kids bought glow sticks and only about half of them worked. The store was willing to exchange a few, but then said no more (even though they never worked). I had three conversations with the campground staff about my adult child arriving late on the night of my arrival and provided information about her car and obtaining a tag to hang on the mirror. However, a full day after her arrival, they told my youngest child that we were breaking rules by having a second car at our campsite and it needed to be moved immediately (even though they never told me!). The "lake" was pretty gross and tiny - full of lily pads and snapping turtles that were swimming right near the very small beach area. Despite being in a picturesque area of New Hampshire, the "nature trail" on site was extremely short. We had to leave the campground in order to do any hiking. They advertise "make your own sundae" night, but they fail to mention that they charge $5 a person. In short, lots of unnecessary rules and poor selection of typical outdoor activities one would expect in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. read more
