I was able to return to Gulleys 4 days after my purchase, and the manager in charge refused to refund or replace the dead plant. The manager in charge did offer 30% off my next purchase. I declined, deciding my shopping days at gulleys was over. I purchased a new fuscia at Lowe's a few weeks later, and the picture is how it is looking today. Independent nurseries complain that the big box stores are squeezing them out. My suggestion is the independent nurseries improve their service and stand behind their product if they want to compete.

This was the first time we tried buying our outside plants at Gulleys. We usually go to another nursery with this policy : All guarantees begin the date the customer takes possession of their merchandise. The following codes are found next to each item on the receipt and correspond to the guarantee given: Code A - 30 day guarantee: All Greenhouse plants, including but not limited to annuals, houseplants, bonsai, orchids, and other tropical non-winter hardy plants. I thought the gentlemen was going to tell me to not worry about the digging.. I am disabled and my Dad is handicapped.. alas that was not the case. I returned gentleman's call.. he never called that day.. so.. I never really got a reason.. until I had noticed another voicemail that evening.. and he was trying to backtrack.. I had already sent an email telling them I wanted 50% of the plant values or I would see them in court.. as I was not allowed on property.. this is the 3rd nursery in a row that has told me not to return.. as I wear my hat.. "Don't Tread on me." .. tends to be an issue here.. cannot wait to get to Florida! Be weary.. if You are not the right kind of customer.. they don't want YOUR money. The problem with this place is the front office staff, in particular the woman who oversees that area - really not friendly, very rude, condescending. You know when you meet someone and their soul is just no longer good? That's this woman. She can take that smile straight off your face and leave you feeling very sad. Her staff follows her lead.
