Best customer service I have EVER come across! I cannot say enough good things about Dave and Mountain Lock & Key! First off, he answered the phone (the other places I called either didn't answer or never called me back). Secondly, he kept his word! He showed up when he said he would and he kept me informed throughout the process, as he promised. That alone is worth the 5 stars but, let me go on. I had purchased a trailer online that was located in Evergreen, CO. The trailer keys had been lost by the previous owner but I needed keys prior to moving the trailer across the country. I called Dave on short notice and he made time to inspect my trailer key needs that very same day! As it turns out, due of the nature of the lock, new keys would need to be ordered. The problem with this was the trailer was leaving the state the following week. Quick thinking Dave made arrangements to have the keys expedited and delivered just in time! Needless to say, I was very pleased! When I called Dave, I called from my home state; this is to say this whole transaction was completed 100% remotely! It is doubtful I will ever require Dave's services again simply because I don't live in the area (or even the state) however, this didn't stop him from treating me any differently than if I was going to be a regular, long-time customer! He respected my needs throughout the whole process and I felt valued. Dave delivers quality, good old fashion, keep your word type work and conducts himself with INTEGRITY! We recently moved into a new house and wanted all of the locks updated. I used to do business with this provider when it was previously owned by the father of the current owner and it was good to see that Dave is as knowledgeable as his father. I wanted to write a review about Mountain Lock and Key. They were at my home yesterday and installed a key pad entry lock and rekeyed. We have used them for many years and have always been satisfied. My employer (large bank) also uses them consistently. I was surprised to read a negative review and feel it can't be accurate. The company isn't open on Sundays. In the past, we used Alan and the new Owner Dave takes the service to a new level. He was very patient and ensured I knew how the key pad operated and offered for me to contact with any questions I may have. I have to admit I already had to call and he picked up immediately and answered my questions. Great reasons I always use this company: They respond to emergency situations quickly, trust worthy, great pricing and trustworthy It's a shame to see a review that is so negative (nor makes sense) about a great company we are lucky to have in the Evergreen area. read more

I called Dave, the owner, just this morning to install 2 deadbolt locks and fix the front door lock. He was here within two hours. Excellent job installing the Schlage deadbolts and permanently repaired the front door lock. Very nice and friendly and very professional. I hired Mountain Lock & Key to change a few locks in my new home. From start to finish, this company was professional, friendly and reliable. Dave was working with a client when I called but called me back later that day. He had a personal emergency on the day my service was scheduled, so Alan came out to help instead. We had just gotten a foot of snow and the roads weren't great, so I was worried they might cancel but Alan showed up on time and fixed all of my locks in less than an hour. They work great now! I was impressed that even though I wasn't in an emergency situation, this company still made me important and made sure I got my locks changed. Not only that but Alan was so delightful to work with. Wouldn't "service my area"...in Evergreen I'm a Sunday when I was stranded outside of my apartment.

As a first time customer in the Conifer area I am ecstatic. Dave is prompt super knowledgeable and a real tradesman. He was so fast and efficient installing our new coded system we had him go to the rest of the doors at our office he was able to repair 2 more doors that hadn't worked right for years. Unfortunately, in order to leave a review, you have to give at least 1 star, but this jerk, Alan, does not even deserve 1 star. We called today (12/01/2013) because we are in Hawaii and our dog sitter locked the bottom handle lock with our dog inside the house. We called the main number and were told that they weren't interested because there was a Broncos game going on. We then called our property management company and they gave us Alan's direct number. After admonishing us for calling his personal line, he said that they only service during regular business hours and reminded us that he did not put us in the situation to begin with. Really? No kidding? Not only are they not helpful, but he is an exquisite jerk. We then called Webster Lock Masters and the guy who answered was at a bar watching the game, but he left immediately to meet the dog sitter. THAT my friends, is how to run a business. read more
