Nifty little soap shop in Coeur d'Alene by the resort/boardwalk. I stopped by to find something for my sister who I was visiting for the holidays. What's great is when you walk in, there's not an overwhelming scent invasion like other bath(ware)? stores. The layout is spacious and well organized - bath bombs to your right, bath soaps in the center along with gift sets and baskets to the left. The clerk was helpful and answered my questions on what to get, what scents were popular as I made my way around the store. Keep in mind this is coming from someone that doesn't really indulge in bath bombs - sure I have my own fancy body wash I use, but bath bombs are another level for me. I picked up a delicious smelling Blackberry Jasmine Bath Bomb, along with a bag of Sweet Dreams Shower Fizzies (lavender scented) - which are a great deal with a handful of fizzies in the bag, so it's not a one-time thing. A plus was that they were able to look up my sister's account (she buys gifts for her clients here) to give her "frequent buyer" credit since I clearly don't live in the area, so I wouldn't benefit from their frequent shopper program. Of course she must've been near her reward redemption limit since my purchase triggered an email to her letting her know she reached the threshold (and inadvertently also letting her know I was buying her a little surprise). Darling handmade soap and bath bomb store in the heart of Coeur d'Alene. Wander in and prepare for a scent-sation! I bought their soap made with natural honey and their Goddess bath bomb (of course). I have used both since returning from my trip out west, and the quality is excellent. No impure ingredients messing things up! I also bought a small felt star that you can put natural oils on to put in with your sweaters, etc, to make for an aromatic addition to your closet. Oh my GOSH! So many kind, vegan and environmentally-friendly products in here that smell amazing! They literally hand-craft their products downstairs from their shop. From a shampoo bar to hand soaps that are gorgeous and even one that has actual loofah in it along with peppermint and other oils to scrub your feet beautiful! Sarah and Lauren were super friendly and we're happy they're not only let me smell or try different options but make some great suggestions as well. I love these soaps I came here first in 2015 and found them right next to the Antique shop around the corner before they got their new location. They've been getting a lot of great new things I still just really enjoy their bars as soaps and Chopsticks. Their bath bombs or really bomb also. I'm really happy that they have a lot of products for men because that's becoming very hip these days. I really enjoy that they sell their soaps at local markets around town. They also started branching out to Montana at St Marines truck stop with their soap. I was really ecstatic when I found this out and passed through. I am also glad that they have the online. Though you can't smell things online so that's why I do come in the store to smell the products. I like their Rewards program they have it's really awesome once you spend $100 you get $10 to spend. I am literally waiting right now for them to open 2 minutes away and to the happiness of my joys. read more

I tried a sample of their lotion at a Farmers Market. It was light and creamy. I loved the fragrances and looked at their ingredients. I have horrible allergies but never had a problem with anything I have purchased. Now they have a store and it is so cool. Their bar soap is the best I have ever used. I adore this shop, the employees, and owner. I discovered the Mistletoe Kiss at an antique shop and had to check out the brick and mortar store. You can find a lot of different truly natural skin, body and home care items here. Bath bombs, deodorant, EO's, items for men, laundry room, etc. my personal favorite is their body butter. It is not greasy and the scent lingers. I have purchased three jars! The jar last me a little over a month which I think is a great value. My second favorite is the Nag Champa candle. I've waited five years to return to a shop in Whitefish Montana where I first bought a swirly, amber-something soap. I don't even usually LIKE amber, but I LOVED this soap and it lasted as long as I could get it to last before - sigh - I tossed the tiny last "bit" last year. Finally made it back to that store on a recent trip and scoured the place looking for the "mystery soap" of my dreams, and....THERE IT WAS!!! Mountain Madness White Ginger & Amber Soap. Fantastic. I can not emphasize enough how much I love these products. I live close to Joshua Tree National Park and found the Huckleberry & Lemonade Soap in a small gift store just across from the Visitor Center at the North Entrance. I was looking for Lemongrass. I've been addicted ever since. Usually I just run up to Joshua Tree and buy it but occasionally they run out so I looked for them online. DUH!!! The aroma is beautiful and the soap doesn't disintegrate after a few uses like most homemade soaps. I have since bought the Lemongrass and they sent me a sample peppermint Chapstick. I am moving forward with some of their other products like the men's deodorant and the Shampoo Bar. I can't wait. Perhaps in future you could make a all natural zinc oxide sunscreen maybe with Shea Butter or something that would be good for athletes that sweat a lot . just a suggestion. read more

I stopped by over Spring Break, and I am so glad I did! As mentioned in other reviews, the place smells amazing. There is so much to see and smell. The store is easy to navigate, and they encourage testing. There are some pretty incredibly scented products. I picked up an herbal bliss bath bomb; I love the fresh, clean scent. I also picked up a Cooling Ming sugar lip scrub. It is amazing, and I highly recommend this product. My lips feel great, especially after a rough a winter. I love Mountain Madness! My sister and I have been using their products since they were only a booth at the farmers market. We have never had a problem with any of their products. They are high quality and come at a fraction of the cost the large corporation stores want. I love that they get new products in all the time. My favorite products are from the huckleberry lemon and the goddess scents. I especially love the goddess bath bomb, even though someone earlier claimed that there was a problem with it. It is not the store's fault if you are allergic to something. I know I'm allergic to grapefruit so I stay away from products with that in it. Simple. DO NOT go to Mountain Madness Soap Company. I went in for my birthday a few weeks ago with two of my friends, and one of them and I got "The Goddess Bomb". It was purple and brown and the sales associate told us it was their newest one. She said it's a glitter bomb so it has glitter in it, and also dark chocolate infused with lavender and then the "normal ingredients". She also told us that every ingredient is organic so it's really good for your skin. Well last Friday I finally used the bath bomb, and the next morning I woke up with a small rash on my lower back right above my butt. By that evening the rash was covering the majority of my lower back. Then on Sunday morning it was covering OVER 50% of my body. I messaged my friend and asked her what to do since she is in nursing school , she told me that she also had a full body rash that showed up on Friday after she used the bath bomb on Thursday night. I knew this couldn't be a coincidence so I called the store on Monday. They seemed less than sympathetic, and took my name and number to have the manager call me. When she did she went on the defense. I simply asked for a list of their ingredients so I could tell my doctor what was in the bath bomb, and all she said was "Epsom salt and cocoa butter" . I told her what the sales associate there had told me and all she continued to say was "It only has epsom salt and cocoa butter in it, and there's no glitter in it just micah on the top" I was getting annoyed so I asked if she was talking about the purple and brown bath bomb and she said "The bath bomb is brown with pink on top" She then argued with me saying that she talked to both places that MAKE the bath bombs and they said there was nothing in them that could be an irritant. They don't even oversee what goes into their bath bombs, so how are we supposed to know if everything in each product is all natural?! If anything, you should not go there just for the service. You would at least expect that when someone calls telling you something happened to them because of your product that they would offer some sort of apology, not go on the offense and make the customer seem like the bad guy. If I could give it zero stars I would. Save yourself the time and the doctors bills and don't go in. read more
