The mall is tiny, and therefore mid. It's just one floor level with a few shops; when I went they were actually all closed (around 9-9:30p on Monday). There are some souvenir shops but walking along the street youll pass many more so you're not limited to this spot. Overall feel no urge to go back - although they had a fun looking candy shop at the entrance! read more

It's been a while since I visited a mall but this mall was really small. It's great you can access a brewery from the first floor. Plenty of great touristy trap stores with about 25 stores that you can simply find throughout the strip as well. At least this location can keep you warm. It wasn't too busy when we visited. Me and my wife enjoyed the "sign" store that was featured as well as the veteran owned store with tactical weapons. Not the most exciting place to visit. Just casual leisure mostly. read more

If you're going to Gatlinburg, you have to go to the Mountain Mall! It's such a different mall than anything you've expected. It's oddly shaped, has a billion floors, and so many different stores. It's a wonderful place to still experience Gatlinburg shopping while avoiding bad weather. Also a major perk, a public bathroom... but you have to go all the way to the top floor, which I think is floor F. There's wood paneled walls, water features, and of course little black bears. :) There is an elevator if you don't want to use the skinniest escalator ever or walk stairs. read more

Love this place, cool little stores in side. We really enjoy this little store called "Cursin in the Past" . It has a lot of old time neon signs, metal signs and anything you might want for your garage, game room or in home bar. The staff are great also. read more

Cowboy Way and Pepper Palace are the only places I really visit here. Cowboy Way is a really good place to find boots and Pepper Palace is just a fun little hot sauce shop. It's clean and a good place to get out of the heat/cold for a minute. The bathrooms are at the top which kind of sucks but they are nice and big. read more

The name Mountain Mall is actually misleading. It's not really a mall, it's just a flea market with multiple floors so I guess it's technically a mall, but that's pushing it. Mountain Mall is one of those places that is nice to stop at if its hot, cold or crowded. Other than that,it's not a location where people need to stop at when they are walking on the strip. There are honestly only two stores that I enjoy shopping at; the Pepper Palace and a shop that sells bath bombs for less than 3 dollars. The other stores are very touristy and very stereotypical with the Smokey Mountain theme, cowboy hat/boot stores and attractions that are more expensive than it needs to be. Overall, I don't hate Mountain Mall, but it's not my favorite. If its hot, cold or crowded outside I will come back to see what they have but if it's a slow day, I'll probably look at the other stores on the strip instead. read more

This funny, kitschy little mall in the heart of Gatlinburg's shopping area is pretty fun to explore. Some of the stores were definitely not for us, but some were. And our group of six found some fun things in a few different shops! We had a great time walking around and exploring! It's not fancy by any means, but it's charming in its own kitschy Gatlinburg way. And you never know - you might find a fun souvenir you weren't expecting (I went home with some vintage cowgirl boots)! read more

This poor little mall is just great. We start out here every year when we come up. We usually go into the hat store and shop a little and then head to the leather store. The bathrooms are on the fourth floor and it's a great starting point at the bottom of the Gatlinburg strip. I highly recommend cruising through the mall before or after your Gatlinburg journey. read more

Run down and dirty, mostly junk stores as well. Many empty storefronts. Wouldn't waste your time, walk on by.

It's pretty much the only mall that is around in Gatlinburg (from the time that my friend and I were visiting). We went in, but didn't buy anything. I would recommend going up and down the strip more than going into the mall. It has a lot of levels and not bad for getting some steps in, but other than that...nothing really much anything (that caught my eyes/stood out to me). It just did not do it for me. read more

Reviewing other reviews and their ratings, I have decided on 4 stars for this mall. In all the times I've went here, I've not had someone be aggressive in selling me something. The shops are not as unique here, but the cool air is great, and there are many cool things to see inside. I wouldn't count this mall out, but you'll see similar stuff down the strip as well. read more

It's got Aunt Mahalia's, a homemade old school candy store, the Rhythm Section, an awesome music store, and a pretty cool caricature store with a huge window that you can watch the artist draw through, what more could you want? read more

We went in to do some shopping & had our dogs. It says it is pet friendly. My dog was barking for a minute playing & the so called manager came out & told us we needed to leave. I asked him if it was pet friendly & he said it is & it isn't. We'll make up your mind it can't be both. If it isn't you need to tell the stores that have pet friendly signs to take them down. read more

In regard to shopping, for me, this is not a "must do." However, when walking the parkway in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, I cannot think of any reason to *not* enter the mall. I mean... it's right there. There are some cool stores here. Anytime I visit G-burg, I usually do walk into this mall when downtown. There always a few stores that I remember from my last visit and I seek them out again. The mall appears to be one of those 1970s malls that has lost some tenants to newer shopping areas. I always wonder if the mall is doing well... financially. It must be... it continues to hang in there. Though the mall may need to be updated... maybe that would be a bad idea. It is a woody-rocky-rustic sort of place that, though maybe a little outdated, the theme still holds up well at the foot of the Smoky Mountains. The the mall is on a small footprint, it provides a multi-level shopping experience. One cool thing to see (and kids usually love it) is a water fountain where water winds its way down a convoluted system of wooden canals from the top floor through open areas all the way to the bottom floor. Bottom line: It's not a mall to go out of your way for, but because you don't have to go out of your way (when sauntering around downtown), be sure to check it out. Yes, it's similar to the strip, but the four gentlemen in the tobacco store and the people working in the sports heaven were phenomenal to talk to! I will definitely go back again the next time I'm in Gatlinburg! read more

Just got here and discovered their singular elevator was out of service. While they had a secondary entrance, the only way up or down the 6 levels was via stairs. Escalator only goes up. Do not recommend for wheelchair users. read more

I advise every one to not go near the LAVELIER store on the top level. This cosmetic does not work at home. Not sure what they use in the store. It is very overpriced. The $150 syringe To tighten under eye bags I bought was empty in a week. I was told to use it once a week and that it would last 4 years. I certainly should have researched it on amazon.com. in the spot!! See the reviews of this product for yourself before you purchase. A product you can use for a fraction of the price is called " No more baggage" by Dr. Brandt, which you can use every day under your make up. The guys at Lavelier store use a lot of tricks to convince you that it's a miracle product. It is not! It was fraud. read more

THe resturant in there the Mountain Grill there is not impressive..is way overpriced. The food not so good either. The chili I ordered was white bean soup that tasted like it was watered down with 5 tortilla chips.. no kidding. The turkey sandwich was budding quality turkey, the kind you get for 1.49 a pack at the grocery store. My husband got the Bison hamburgar for 11.00. He said it was ok. My kids did get the dessert . dirt and worm with their meals, that they enjoyed. read more

Mountain mall is a good place to shop only do not try to go out the fire escape exits you will be trapped inside me and my friend thought it was an exit as the signs said but once inside we could not exit the building or enter back in the mall we were stuck and no one came to open it when we knocked so needless to say we were freaking out and on the verge of calling 911 but I decided to kick the door like Bruce Lee until some girl looking terrified and opened the door for us BEWARE!!!this could have been your child or grandparent burned to death!!! read more
