First off upon arrival on Monday we were going to simply do a walk up and reserve a ride for the coming up Thursday. As we were walking up to the office, a silver haired lady that we crossed paths with in the parking lot asked us if we had a reservation. I stated 'no' and that we were coming to book one for this Thursday. She apparently did not listen to my response because she proceeded to tell us to go inside and sign the release forms on the kiosk and pointed at my son and said he could not sign himself and must wear a helmet. I did not say anything in return as I could see she was heading out to a wagon ride to help them and was clearly not paying attention so we proceeded inside where another family was signing in. Same woman comes in the office and said "Who's next?" The family at the kiosk signing releases were there first but didn't speak up so I said they are here to ride we can wait. She responded very rudely with basically the same thing back to me. She then told the teenage girl from that family to go over and pick out a helmet from the wall. The young lady walked over to the wall but looked very nervous and then looked back for further assistance. A few moments later the snarky-rude woman said to the girl she must pick out a helmet before going on the ride. The young lady looked about ready to cry. Her family was still checking in and paying so they didn't notice her getting upset. I stepped over and offered to help her find a helmet and explained how they are sized and the fit she needed. Once we found her a helmet she thanked me and looked so relieved. At that point I realized the lack of customer support we were dealing with from staff. Let me stop here to add that I do this for a living; 35 years of horse riding, 26 years as a trial guide and 20 years as a cattle rancher. My husband was silently standing by witnessing/judging . Fast forward to making a reservation (again she didn't listen and was trying to book for the wrong day) and then we stepped outside. We witnessed a young petite girl about to take a ride out that vaguely gave a set of instructions. It's like she was a robot talking to air instead of a guide talking to customers. Upon witnessing a few more unsafe and concern-able things I decided to go back in the office and ask a few more questions. The snarky-rude woman also seemed to be on auto pilot with answers. Never once made eye contact with me and quite frankly I'm sure never even listened to my actual questions. She too responded Luka an AI robot with things like we only walk on our trails, we only offer a one hour and we don't do private rides. Lady you were so far off base! We know how the industry works and how insurance regulates you. We were NOT asking for exceptions. My final straw was her pointing at my son and telling him he couldn't wear his knife on the trial ride. Really? You won't look at me and talk but you can point that out. He is a teenager that has a leather belt with a leather sheath and a knife secured inside that he wears EVERYDAY. Again we are cattle ranchers. He is homeschooled and he totally knows when it's not acceptable to have the knife. I was done then... Absolutely not. I did not say anything and we walked out. I will not be returning and will not be recommending this location EVER.

The ride up and down was comfortable and views are stunning! Peaceful with gorgeous Mountain views as you glide up a lush path through the trees Once at the top the views are panoramic we were given cold water bottles and moon pies! We played bean bag toss then sat on a swing that seemed on top of the world! The skylift was $20 per person for an all-day pass. This meant we could go whenever we wanted before they closed, so we didn't have to rush or worry about a specific time. The staff was friendly yet professional, but they will talk and hangout with you as long as they aren't busy. It created a relaxed and comfortable environment. The ride was smooth and incredibly peaceful, with amazing views. Once you reach the top, there is a large place to hangout, play games, or just sit in one of the many chairs or swings and take in the view. You can spend as much or as little time as you want at the top, which was so nice! Also, the restrooms are clean and they offered us cold waters and a Moon Pie. Really just an awesome experience for a lazy afternoon!

When we called to check on times, we were told that at this time, trail rides were no longer being offered but could come experience what was called arena games. Glad we went. It gave her the opportunity to ride and do things I don't think she would have thought you could do on a horse. Sam was our instructor and she was patient with all of us. The horses were easy to work with and made the time go quickly. Will definitely keep them in mind and contact them when/if daughter wants to go riding again.

Going with a group would be super fun too, and honestly I think you could even do this solo! I definitely didn't realize ahead of time how independent it would be -- the few ropes courses i've done in my life weren't in a trail format... so a guide always clipped me in/out. Neither of us were too familiar with the zipline and carabiners mechanisms, so I was nervous at first! But the guides are great at explaining how it all works, and have you do a practice round before heading out on your own. You get the hang of it fast. We were able to do 5/6 trails (we didn't get around to the most difficult one) and they were all unique and fun in their own right. I'm sure it's fun during the day too, but it was cool to be at Ijams at night with it all lit up!

He verbally put her down in front of the whole crowd that was about to go to the course. Extremely unprofessional and I feel like if y'all have a high turnover rate, it's because of Ben. The gentleman in the ropes course, I wish I could remember his name. He was so kind and professional, he would joke with the younger kids and make them laugh, go out on the course in a moments notice to help someone, and was all around in a good mood. He was having a good time and making sure the customers were too. So was the younger girl that Ben verbally attacked in front of everyone. Both the staff in the tree tops were fantastic, extremely helpful, and a pleasure to be around. I do feel bad for anyone that has to work with Ben though. If he was my manager I would quit before the first day was over.

I think it's quite possibly the best in Knoxville. First of all, It's looooooong. This trail earns some stripes for being more than a little tikes loop. You pass through so many great neighborhoods. Its scenic. You see bridges, benches, blooms, brooks, and..what..they got bamboo over here? So many people hop on this trail. It's a great way to meet your fellow runner, biker, jogger, trail lover, neighbor. The only thing I will say is..they could do some more clean up with the unsightly brush. It's odd because there are parts of the trail that are meticulously maintained and then other parts are a hot mess. The overgrown bushes, the piles of cinder, the slush of sticks and leaves is way too reckless on trail as popular as this.

This course is around an hour float down the river with a few class II rapid sections. For most adults, it should be easy going as long as you know how to maneuver a tube or raft. For young kids, I'd probably tether the child's tube to yours. Our two kids, 7 and 9, did fine. But, we had to make sure they rode the tubes correctly. Cowboy Tubin's prices are less than competitors by $5/pp and the run is slightly longer. They have very clean indoor changing rooms and bathrooms. Much nicer than some other places. Also, very friendly staff.

What set her apart was the fact that she pointed out they sell sunglass retainers but if we didn't want to buy them they could tie some twine on them so we wouldn't lose them. That's rare, she had an opportunity to upsell us but didn't. Simply offered them then gave us a free option as well. As simple as it was, it was appreciated.

I was hoping to enjoy more of this beautifully…read moregreen state and I was half satisfied and half disappointed with the trail in this location of I.C. King Park, which is why I gave this hiking venue a three star review. I took off two stars because the map of the hiking trail is so inaccurate (or, at least, unreadable). I took a picture of the map before starting my hike (I've uploaded it here) for reference as I hiked but it didn't help at all. At first I followed the rock covered road that heads up from the parking lot and veers off to the right. But soon I was disappointed by a dead end. So I headed back to the junction with the main rock covered road, which eventually runs parallel to the dog parks, and continued down the path to the next narrow, dirt trail and tree opening on the right that I thought was the trail as indicated on the map. This turned out to be a beautifully charming green and lush path, replete with enthralling cicada singing, delightful birdsong and gentle inclines and declines which made for an interesting hike. This continued for about a mile and a quarter until I came to an intersection. According to the map, I should have been at a T-intersection, but what I saw was a full on crossroads. I walked a ways down each path to see if any was a dead end but each seemed to be a legitimate trail. Since I wasn't sure which way to go, I headed back to my car. I was concerned my two mile (or so) hike may turn into a five mile (or so) hike and I wasn't prepared for that. I saw only one other party of two bikers heading up the path when I was heading back. This was both reassuring (that I saw other people) and concerning (that I saw only one other group in the hour I was on the trail). Anyway, if you have time to explore, the trail seemed to be well maintained so there is hardly any worry that you'll wander off it (except maybe a false start, like me). And it truly is a beautiful walk in the forest. But the trails seriously lack any kind of markings or signage whatsoever, so be prepared with alternative trails maps or time to wander and explore.
