My family and I have been going to River Rage the last 6 years. In that time, we have progressively watched it get funky nasty. Last year we were done with them. This year we tried Cowboy Tubin. Why we didn't switch years ago, hell, I don't know. These guys were super nice. Outstanding facilities. The bathrooms looked brand new. Their minivans were squeaky clean and they had AC too. We will see you next year Cowboy!!!!

Cowboy tubin' is great! They are very nice caring people. They actually tied strings on our flip flops so we wouldn't lose them in the river. They charge $10 while a lot of others charge more. There shuttle service is fast. The Rapids part of the river is a little rough and can be dangerous. Several people were flipped on their tubes. You can get out out the river and walk on land around the Rapids if you are afraid.

The lady that we signed in with gave us a rundown of the river, what to expect, what to wear and what not to.

They do sell waterproof bags there, but they're about $25. They normally have two different float routes. You're supposed to do the first one and then drive to the second. Unfortunately, we couldn't do the second float because there was an accident that had the road completely blocked for hours. The first float took us about 2 hours, which felt like a pretty good amount of time on the water. Depending on the water level, you may have to hop out of your tube in a few spots and walk it over some rocks because parts of the river can get pretty shallow. It all depends on how high or low the water is that day. Also, make sure you use the bathroom before you start and don't forget sunscreen. There are a lot of beautiful houses along the river, but remember to stay off private property. Overall, it was a fun time and I'd definitely come back again.

At my arrival, the office mistakenly saved my debit card information under the wrong customer file…read moreand charged my card. When I brought this to their attention, I was assured that my card information would be removed from the incorrect account and that the issue had been resolved. Despite those assurances, my debit card was charged again. This second charge occurred after I had already notified the staff of the mistake and after I was specifically told that my card information would be deleted. As a result, I spent a significant portion of my vacation dealing with a problem that should never have happened in the first place. Not only did these errors create financial stress and inconvenience, but they also ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. I trusted your staff to correct the mistake after it was first reported, and unfortunately that trust was misplaced when my card was charged again. I believe it is unreasonable for me to bear the consequences of repeated errors made by the office, particularly after I had notified you of the problem and received assurances that it had been corrected. For these reasons, I respectfully requested a refund and I was denied and told that it was my banks fault for letting the transactions to occur. They won't take accountability and refuse to work with me. This was my debit card that was charged and over $400 and was on hold for a total of 8 days. My bank cancelled my card. Just one headache after another because of all of this. I feel as though they should've accommodated me seeing how their actions and failure to pay attention caused all of this.

We stayed at Blackbeary Hollow during Christmas with our son and granddaughter. When we arrived,…read morethere was no heat. Called the handyman who had to replace four fuses for the furnace. The downstairs (two bedrooms and a family room) never warmed up. The gas fireplace downstairs couldn't be used because there was a problem with the propane tank. Therefore, no heat downstairs. We were never informed of this. The table and chairs on the upper deck were covered with mold. The gutters were full of leaves. There was at least an inch of dirt on the baseboards under the beds. My granddaughter slipped in one of the rubs and hit her head on the faucet. Both Tvs in the cabin were ancient tube TVs. Very limited stock of kitchen pans and tools. Had to buy frying pans, measuring cups and bath mats. No bannister for majority of stairs going downstairs (not up to code?). We were given the wrong info for the wifi twice. Figured it out on our own after a few days. The wood floors looked like someone had beat them with a hammer. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is the cabin has been seriously neglected for years. We have been using Bearly Rustic for years and will never use them again. There are much nicer cabins to be had in the area for a comparable price.
