Been here about a half-dozen times now with my girlfriend's co-workers for birthday parties. (I'm…read morejust the muscle who gets to carry most everything) None of us are really into the rap music frequently played here but we try to tune it out and have a good time. (Though it really would be nice to see and hear a lot less of that in a family atmosphere) Their most recent issue though is with Driftwood's claim to be a place for birthday parties. In the past they've brought their own cake and the staff has provided them with cups and some plastic eating utensils and they eat cake out of the cups. Pretty awesome. On their most recent birthday party visit, one member of the group went up to request a half dozen cups and plastic forks and was told something snarky about outside food and charged $25 for the aforementioned cups and forks. I get that those things aren't free, but to charge that much for what maybe amounts to $3 worth of foam and plastic is outrageous. They've spent a lot of money here just this year alone, rented several hours on the lanes, heavily frequented the arcade, and always clean up any mess they make, shy of a sanitary table wipe. This is a group of housekeepers. These girls work hard, sometimes in terrible conditions, cleaning up horrific messes left by guests, so they know how to clean and be respectful of their surroundings. Needless to say they weren't very happy. I'm posting this on their behalf because I was there to witness it, and it hurt my feelings to see them so upset. As they were leaving I overheard talk of possibly seeking out a new venue that would be happy to have them and host their future birthday parties.

If I could do zero stars I would. This was a very disappointing experience…read more My family and I drove 2 hours to visit Fun Mountain while I was in town from California. We specifically came for the attractions, but after spending over $200 on tickets, we found out the ropes course doesn't even open until 5:00 PM. This was never mentioned before we purchased our tickets. To make matters worse, we were also never told that the 1-hour unlimited arcade cards do not earn tickets for prize redemption. That is a huge detail that absolutely should have been disclosed before we spent our money. We expected to be able to play games and earn tickets like you would at most arcades. When I went to the front desk to ask if there was anything they could do, Kaylee and Yessinia told me there was nothing they could do. While I understand they may have been following company policy, there was no attempt to offer any alternative, involve a manager, or help us find a solution after we had already spent hundreds of dollars. Because of the lack of communication and customer service, we ended up wasting both our time and money. Only half of our group was able to enjoy themselves, while the rest of us were left disappointed. If Fun Mountain is going to have attractions that don't open until later in the day and arcade cards that don't earn tickets, those policies should be clearly communicated before customers spend over $200. After driving two hours for this experience, we left feeling frustrated and misled. I can't recommend Fun Mountain based on our experience.

This place is cool and offers something fun for families with kids to do while here at Cedar Creek…read morewhich is mostly for adults, but does have some items that clearly are geared toward kids/families. We saw the arcade, laser tag, mini golf, bowling, darts, the slides, outdoor ropes course, and go carts. So that is a lot to cram into one building and I'm sure I'm forgetting something, as well as the bar and restaurant here. Prices were pretty high - but they do have some packages if you are a staying paid guest - which all amount to $5 less than what anyone else would pay. Seems like a better discount would go a long way here for people who have already paid quite a lot to be here. For example: Bowling is $50 per hour per person. The building was nice, plenty go parking, and walkable from the main resort (if you're willing to walk across the street).
