We had the Valentine's dinner on the bowling alley side. We sat at the bar. Shayla waited on us. Even this side was taking reservations because they were busy. Service was excellent. We started the evening with Brie appetizer. Absolutely delicious. The menu for the evening included a soup or salad. We ordered the salad with pecans, cranberries, and raspberry vinegarette. (House made.) It was lovely. Main course I had Ahi tuna. I was expecting six or eight pieces. It was about 8 ounces, on a bed of spinach and strawberries. I am having left overs for dinner tonight. I was full but I made a spectacle of myself and ordered the strawberry tiramisu and the white chocolate raspberry creme Brulé. Chef Jamie out did herself. I was going to take half of both home for today. But little Miss Piggy ate all of the creme Brule and didn't share with hubby. He had the stuffed chicken breast with blackberry glaze. He said it was very good. This evening was created by the new owner/chefs, Cody and Jamie. I know they are cooking something up for St. Paddy's Day. Visiting my Parents and they have been taking us to their favorite places to eat and the 178 Club doesn't disappoint. Their were of us and we all had something different. Chicken parmesan, Mediterranean chicken, shrimp scampi, grilled walleye and the garlic & parmesan crusted walleye. You choose your main entrée and then select 1 or 2 sides depending on your main so you semi-customize your meal. Overall the place was pretty slow on a Sunday, and our meal was delayed due to an accident in the kitchen, but once it arrived it was delicious!! We finished with the salted caramel vanilla crunch cake and the molten chocolate as well. The wine selection is limited but they have some good wines, and there is a full bar available. read more

Spent the morning catching trout on the river. Brought our catch in a cooler to have 178 Club take care of us. Corey, the head chef, greeted us at the table and recommended he cook up a family feast for us. He brought out fried, blackened, broiled, and grilled trout to us. I've traveled all over the world and Corey made some of the best fish I've ever had! The service was awesome and it so fun having multiple types of prepped salmon to choose from. I go to the 178 Club about every 3 to 4 months. I have never had a bad evening with them. They have typically good service, reasonable prices and excellent food! And, I find that the restaurant is usually fairly quiet, and nicely laid out. And after my last visit of many, I ended up going next door and bowling for the first time in many years! On Saturday night the place to go is the 178 Club. The Prime Rib is excellent. I paired it with Garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad. It was all delicious. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Had dinner Saturday night at 178 Club for my husband's birthday. The main dining room is quiet and perfect for a nice dinner. Jade, our waitress, quickly greeted us and told us the evening specials. We ordered the fried mushrooms for our appetizer and they were very good particularly the horseradish ranch dressing that accompanied them. We had almost finished the mushrooms when Jade told us our dinner would be at our table in a little over 3 minutes. At that time she delivered a little container of crusty French bread, garlic toast squares, and butter. So yummy! I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp which was absolutely wonderful. The shrimp were very fresh and cooked just right and the sauce was perfectly spicy. The addition of the cabbage was just right. My husband's salad was very crisp and had just the right amount of Ranch dressing on it. His Filet was ordered medium. One end was medium and one end was close to well done. I am not sure how that happened but we were not going to tell Jade because she had done her job so well. We topped off our dinner with a piece of chocolate explosion cake! Oh my, it was incredible! The hubs and I have been coming to 178 Club since moving to AR years ago. Apparently it's been a staple restaurant in this area for quite some time, and I can see/taste why that would be. The restaurant is broken up into two dining experiences: white cloth dining and a more casual bar side dinner. Both have the same menus and good service. We often go for Saturday night's prime rib, and it's been great 99% of the time. The salads are the size of a human head and impossible to finish (unless you're like my hubs and a human garbage disposal). The restaurant offers a standard All American menu, but does have some interesting side dishes. You're also allowed to bring in your own fresh catch and they'll prepare it for you. Cost is a bit more than going to Chili's, but you get what you pay for, so there's that. I'd def recommend anyone to try this little gem! read more

This is a busy busy place in Bull Shoals! Based on Yelp we had planned on another place but it was closed and so we checked out 178 Club. Its a bit dark but it is a bar & grill after all. Decor is dated with interesting art. Nice bar area. Food was typical for a bar and grill but it certainly did not disappoint! we were very hungry and hubby got a bacon cheeseburger and I got a Reuben. Both were very good! Waitress was extremely busy but we were very pleased with our service. She took our order promptly, served our food hot and was quick on the refill of tea and water. My dad loves this place, and as a local, I'm sure he's had some great stuff there. I enjoyed the bang bang shrimp, but it could have been saucier. Our waiter told me NOT to get the trout, so I opted for steak and shrimp instead. The way he went about it was very awkward, though. Regardless, It was pretty tasty. Their menu is not bad, and the ambiance is calm and relaxing. It's confusingly a mix of fine dining w regular menu items. It's a lake place, so it's not really fine dining, but it doesn't pass as casual either. I really wish they had craft beer (I feel like they used to). Their drink list was disappointing. read more

A kitchen splits the restaurant apart from the rest allowing you to have the option of a more quite sit down meal. It is kid friendly and of course the food is always good!! I went there for the first time on 27Jun2020. The atmosphere is on the lower lit/fancy side. The prices were a little on the pricey side. $16 for the chicken alfresco I had. The chicken alfredo was quite good. The noodles were perfectly done and had a delicious alfredo sauce that had good flavor. They put some Parmesan cheese in the alfredo sauce, which I am a big fan of. The one part of the diner I had a negative experience with is the house salad. All it consisted of is some lettuce and sliced tomatoes. No croutons, no cheese, just lettuce and tomatoes. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I would recommend it to someone to go on a Friday night fish fry or for prime rib Saturday. Just don't get the house salad: disappointing. read more
