Sand Hollow DELIVERED our little Athena in Reno, and we all happily drove up and had our gotcha day! It's been 16 years since we have had a puppy in the house! She is training us to be better HOOMANs and is such a doll. We keep in touch with Sand Hollow on growth spurts and they have been completely helpful when I need a little extra guidance and don't really trust the internet advice. Thanks for being you guys! We purchased two 8-week old moyen poodle puppies here at the end of December. This breeder is not a…read moreback-yard breeder and has been breeding doodles for at least 5 years. Our owner was friendly, and worked with us financially on the pricing. However I had to ask for a receipt and what I received was a small generic slip that can be purchased at an office supply store with no contact information and no itemization. The breeder delayed our original pickup date by about half a week because she said they picked up a "parasite" and had to finish their 5-day treatment. I immediately had a stool sample checked by slide smear at our veterinarian and it came back clear, which I reported to the breeder. One pup was noticeably smaller than the other (2.3 vs. 4.3 lbs at six weeks). Then after three months they started to have trouble with loose mucousy stools, lack of appetite and light vomiting. At first we tried changing food and feeding a bland diet but no improvement. Our vet suggested that we test for giardia, an intestinal parasite and sure enough the test came back positive. I discovered that giardia requires a special (antigen) test that most veterinarians can't run in their labs; it has to be sent out. When I asked the breeder what the parasite they originally contracted was she confirmed that it was giardia. What disturbed me is that she did not document what the specific parasite was, what treatment was administered, nor did she disclose to me that a special test was required to detect it. I am suspicious that these puppies were not fully cured when we picked them up, since a proper test was not performed after treatment. We have learned that giardia cysts can hide out in the intestinal tract and reinfect later. The infection we dealt with was difficult to cure as the vet had to use two different medicines over 7 days each to clear up their condition and obtain a negative test. The breeder chose to keep silent when I told her about my initial fecal slide results, which is crazy since her warranty explicitly disclaims giardia and coccidia. If you use this breeder I recommend that you specifically ask about these two parasites and if diagnosed, have her provide a follow-up test proving that the parasites were not detected. The good news is that the size and weight difference between our pups eventually narrowed to only 5% and no ill effects from their infection have displayed. Their skin, teeth, and muscles all appear to be healthy and we are very happy with them.

Over the moon poodles and doodle in Idaho - 208-861-7074 Tiffany Corson Mountain Bridge Doodles in Arizona - +1 (480) 241-3098 Leigh Ann Matty I feel compelled to share my experience with two dog breeders who have shown extreme unprofessionalism and a complete lack of integrity. Not only did they breach our contract, but has repeatedly lied about important details regarding the puppy I was a home guardian for. Her & her business partners behavior has been incredibly inconsiderate and disrespectful, and I'm deeply concerned about the well-being of the animals they are breeding. I was brought on as a home guardian to care for and train a puppy for the breeder, under the impression I was his owner while they had breeding rights. Over the past nine months, I've fully committed to providing this puppy with a loving, stable home--training him, taking him to all his vet appointments, and covering the costs for his care and well-being. This is not only heartbreaking but deeply frustrating, as I fulfilled every aspect of our agreement while she has completely disregarded her commitments, breaching contract, involving family members who are not included on the contract, and giving the puppy expired supplements called (get me going), causing him to overdose. This resulted in me taking him to the emergency vet for over 48 hours, due to being so lethargic, dehydrated, causing him to have uncontrollable bowel movements, no appetite, and had been foaming at the mouth. However, after all my time, effort, and financial investment, the breeder has now taken the puppy back without any regard for the bond we've built or the responsibility I've shown, while blatantly ignoring all calls and texts with the concern of his whereabouts and why he was never returned to his guardian home. These breeder have demonstrated a total disregard for ethical practices and have been compulsive liars throughout our interactions. It's clear that they should not be entrusted with the care and breeding of animals. I strongly urge others to be cautious and reconsider purchasing from them. There are many reputable breeders who genuinely care about the animals they bring into the world--unfortunately, these individuals are not one of them. Please do your research and protect yourself and the animals involved. If you're considering a home guardian program, please be cautious and make sure you're working with a breeder who is honest, professional, and truly values the well-being of both the animals and the people involved.

It needed to be Merle, female, have both blue eyes and be ready before Christmas. I found two breeders that did not have the both blue match but potential for all else. Then I figured I could look just as far north into Oregon, so I did, and Back Country Aussie was the 2nd website I looked into. Jesse had the exact match we wanted, and I was even more excited about the price being better with her. I made quick contact and received message with instructions within hours. The communication was amazing, price was perfect to include breeding rights and to really top it off we were able to pay a little more for delivery. They were 9.5 hours far drive from where we are. They were delivering another puppy not 20 minutes away from us, so we jumped on the small delivery fee. Saved me 20 hours of driving so I was super excited. About the puppy. We got our beautiful Bella at 9 weeks old. She has been the best dog my wife and I have ever had so far to date. Insanely smart. She communicates when she needs something. She sleeps through the nights. I mean I wake up a couple times to let her out as a young puppy, but she goes right back into her crate and sleep without noise. She is a puppy and if we are not on our game she may have a mishap, but we are sooooo truly blessed with her. Bella is perfect with the children. Ages 9/6/2, my girls. She is super soft and plays great with 3 other large dogs. The big dogs took to her so beautifully and they actually protect her closely. She is perfect in more ways than we can count. I highly recommend only getting your puppy from Jesse. So clean and professional through every aspect of this transaction. Best mini aussie puppy EVER! Thank you Back Country Aussies!

So this place! Ugh. I'm sure some saw me check into a pet store and were like TF??…read more Some of you know that my lil man, Frankie boy passed away almost 4 months ago. (Very weird as soon as I mentioned his name here, the song I tried to get him to dance with me to when we went to the mountains together...the song started as soon as I typed his name. Y'all would laugh at "our song" lol He's always with me) Losing him was one of the worst things to EVER happen to me. I miss having a little guy in my life. I've looked at several breeders online and whatnot over the past few months. And that's what y'all should do if you EVER even think for ONE SECOND about going into a pet store. For so many reasons! One being and the most important , the health of a pup from an actual breeder is always guaranteed. Another, pet store pups always come from puppymills . PuppyLand swears theirs don't. I'm like 34, 43, 38, 35 years old (LOL) and in all my years...EVERY pet store I've gone into has always sworn "we promise our pups only come from registered and experienced breeders" The pups were healthy. I didn't recognize any that were coughing. One pup and I hate saying this about any dog because dogs mean more to me than most things lol. This pup was listed as purebred Golden and it was soooo NOT a purebred. It was a funky looking little pup. Very friendly, because she was looking like a result of her mom hooking up with one of her sons and this little girl was the result. Their little areas were somewhat clean. You could smell the sh*t in almost all of them tho. The thing they do is just throw some more shredded paper on top of whatever is in there. The way they handled the pups too I saw and was thinking...umm, that's a tiny puppy! Show him/her some respect. Don't just drop it back in his/her little playpen. I've had friends who have gotten puppies from here and have yet to have ONE of those friends say "no health problems" So many awful stories from folks who have bought from here. Do I blame them? Absolutely not, they didn't know any better. So many people don't realize the gamble you take if/when you get a pup from a "fancy puppy mill" that's how I see SOME pet shops. I raised golden retrievers for years. Even before then I knew the horrors of pet stores and where 98% of these dogs come from and the awful conditions they come from. If a buyer came to me and told me they looked at a golden in a pet store I'd be like OMG WHYYYY!!! And they answered with "I didn't know pet stores were like this" I always told them to ALWAYS research these stores before and to never buy from one. Sure some may get a pup with zero health issues, but again, it's a gamble. Lady got a pup from Puppyland and she has a rare brain disability. The dog can't walk right and will be like this her entire life. Puppyland pretended to care and last time I talk to this lady I asked if they fixed the problem, offered to pay vet bills, anything!? And she said the messaged her once and that was it. They never offered to refund the $, no offer to help with the unbelievable vet bills, nothing. Puppyland is sketch as hell! Even when you go to their Facebook page and even if you comment something nice, they immediately delete your comments. So with breeding history, if you see this review ALWAYS contact a breeder first and ONLY! if you're wanting a purebred dog. Going to a pet store is too risky. Plus they charge 2-3k more than most breeders depending on the breed. I'd hope this day in age, most would know how bad pet stores are, but sadly they don't. Again, I don't blame them. Did I like my visit here? Of course I did. I miss my little man SO MUCH! But I know better. I also know these precious kids need love too. So it's painful to write a review like this when they need love too and if you buy from here or any pet store, that's your business. These kids were soooo sweet and so needing love. They were so excited to see anyone stop by to see them. They were literally dying for some love and when I'd walk away, they'd cry and cry. If Puppyland gave their health guarantees and actually honored them, the review would be much better not only from me, but from anyone who has actually gotten a puppy from them and if their guarantees about the puppies coming from reputable breeders were legit and they GAVE PROOF OF THAT! (Which they don't! No pedigree, nothing) then people wouldn't be contacting lawyers to get this place shut down. Puppyland, one thing, train your staff to be a little more friendly and less militant....and not just with the pups, with the customers as well. Tell them to put their phones down too and actually act like they like their jobs. 2 stars was for the pups. They deserve more but more stars would make this pet store look better than it deserves. Cheers! Edit: I had to cut out so much of this. So frustrating. Good info too. Yelp fix this. Reviews shouldn't have a limit. At least not your limit. Thx :)
