Purchased a puppy from here a few years ago, was supposedly a pure bred American Eskimo. Ever since about one year of age she has suffered with horrible health issues. Shes most definitely not a pure bred and has cost me thousands and thousands in medical bills. She has a condition that will require her to be on immunosuppressants for the rest of her life as well as prescription food. All of which costs me hundreds per month. I love her to death but I received zero support from Puppyland, they wouldn't even give me her breeders contact info so I could reach out for advice. It's the saddest thing in the world having a dog who is constantly struggling just to stay alive as a consequence of how they were bred. I have been on the search for a dachshund for a while as I already have one and was looking for a playmate for mine. I went to puppy land several times and they were in my face asking if I wanted to purchase a dog when I had barely been there and kept trying to add me to a waitlist for a dog. I finally agreed after having been there a couple times and they texted me today saying the had a dachshund. I went to go see it and immediately the guy said I had to sanitize despite the fact the dog was behind a glass window and not at all accessible. His tone was very rude and demeaning. After sanitizing I went to the case to look at the dachshund and a blonde woman who I had spoken to several times before walked over and told me I couldn't facetime anyone or take pictures. I said alright and stopped showing the dog on facetime. I said I would like to have a better look at the dog, and she said I could do a puppy date in an enclosed spot they have provided. I agreed and then she walked away. She came back later and told me that unless I was serious, I could not see the dog or touch it. I said I am serious and she told me to "bring my husband back to look at it another day" which... I don't even have a husband and the dog was to be for myself. I set up a play date for 4:00 PM on a Saturday, got there on time and was informed the dog sold 40 minutes ago. They explained that the policy was first come, first served! So this place! Ugh. I'm sure some saw me check into a pet store and were like TF?? Some of you know that my lil man, Frankie boy passed away almost 4 months ago. (Very weird as soon as I mentioned his name here, the song I tried to get him to dance with me to when we went to the mountains together...the song started as soon as I typed his name. Y'all would laugh at "our song" lol He's always with me) Losing him was one of the worst things to EVER happen to me. I miss having a little guy in my life. I've looked at several breeders online and whatnot over the past few months. And that's what y'all should do if you EVER even think for ONE SECOND about going into a pet store. For so many reasons! One being and the most important , the health of a pup from an actual breeder is always guaranteed. Another, pet store pups always come from puppymills . PuppyLand swears theirs don't. I'm like 34, 43, 38, 35 years old (LOL) and in all my years...EVERY pet store I've gone into has always sworn "we promise our pups only come from registered and experienced breeders" The pups were healthy. I didn't recognize any that were coughing. One pup and I hate saying this about any dog because dogs mean more to me than most things lol. This pup was listed as purebred Golden and it was soooo NOT a purebred. It was a funky looking little pup. Very friendly, because she was looking like a result of her mom hooking up with one of her sons and this little girl was the result. Their little areas were somewhat clean. You could smell the sh*t in almost all of them tho. The thing they do is just throw some more shredded paper on top of whatever is in there. The way they handled the pups too I saw and was thinking...umm, that's a tiny puppy! Show him/her some respect. Don't just drop it back in his/her little playpen. I've had friends who have gotten puppies from here and have yet to have ONE of those friends say "no health problems" So many awful stories from folks who have bought from here. Do I blame them? Absolutely not, they didn't know any better. So many people don't realize the gamble you take if/when you get a pup from a "fancy puppy mill" that's how I see SOME pet shops. I raised golden retrievers for years. Even before then I knew the horrors of pet stores and where 98% of these dogs come from and the awful conditions they come from. If a buyer came to me and told me they looked at a golden in a pet store I'd be like OMG WHYYYY!!! And they answered with "I didn't know pet stores were like this" I always told them to ALWAYS research these stores before and to never buy from one. Sure some may get a pup with zero health issues, but again, it's a gamble. Lady got a pup from Puppyland and she has a rare brain disability. The dog can't walk right and will be like this her entire life. Puppyland pretended to care and last time I talk to this lady I asked if they fixed the problem, offered to pay vet bills, anything!? And she said the messaged her once and that was it. They never offered to refund the $, no offer to help with the unbelievable vet bills, nothing. Puppyland is sketch as hell! Even when you go to their Facebook page and even if you comment something nice, they immediately delete your comments. So with breeding history, if you see this review ALWAYS contact a breeder first and ONLY! if you're wanting a purebred dog. Going to a pet store is too risky. Plus they charge 2-3k more than most breeders depending on the breed. I'd hope this day in age, most would know how bad pet stores are, but sadly they don't. Again, I don't blame them. Did I like my visit here? Of course I did. I miss my little man SO MUCH! But I know better. I also know these precious kids need love too. So it's painful to write a review like this when they need love too and if you buy from here or any pet store, that's your business. These kids were soooo sweet and so needing love. They were so excited to see anyone stop by to see them. They were literally dying for some love and when I'd walk away, they'd cry and cry. If Puppyland gave their health guarantees and actually honored them, the review would be much better not only from me, but from anyone who has actually gotten a puppy from them and if their guarantees about the puppies coming from reputable breeders were legit and they GAVE PROOF OF THAT! (Which they don't! No pedigree, nothing) then people wouldn't be contacting lawyers to get this place shut down. Puppyland, one thing, train your staff to be a little more friendly and less militant....and not just with the pups, with the customers as well. Tell them to put their phones down too and actually act like they like their jobs. 2 stars was for the pups. They deserve more but more stars would make this pet store look better than it deserves. I bought a PUG puppy two years ago and was promised a refund of $200 for fixing the puppy. Puppyland outsource this process to PETSolutions which is the worst. As of today I have still not received a refund and I've been fighting with Puppyland and PetSolution for the money. This is completed unacceptable and horrible service. Another Question I asked was when can you get her spayed answer I don't no next asked about price they won't give you a price until they see your hooked to your pet then BAM here it some 3999 was the first offer for a Boston Terrier really. Our daughter is 17 and desperately needs a puppy. She has had a very rough last few years and suffers from depression. She needs an animal to be an emotional support for her. This place is in the same parking lot as Red Robin. We saw a guy walking around carrying signs about puppies, so we figured why not look. This place looks pretty nice from the outside, but they dont have any prices showing anywhere. This was the 1st red flag. They have signs up that say "We finance". This was the 2nd red flag, but we decided to take a chance anyway. There was a line outside, so we had to wait a while before getting in. Once inside, there were a number of puppies that seemed healthy and happy. My daughter found one that she liked pretty quickly. We asked the lady that walked around with a clip board if she would see it. They sat her up in a small close in area so she could spend some 1 on 1 time with the puppy. We were suspicious due to the above issues, so we asked how much the puppy was. The lady said the puppy was 3495. I quickly said, we will take it. You cant beat $34.95 anywhere. She corrected me said. No, the price is 34 hundred and 95 dollars. I looked at my wife in astonishment. We quickly told our daughter that we were leaving, gave the puppy back to the lady and left shaking our heads. I have never in my life even guessed that anyone would charge such a price for a puppy. If you are looking for a puppy, unless you have very very deep pockets, I would say to look elsewhere. There are lots and lots of places out there that charge more reasonable prices. read more

Please please do not buy your puppies here. I purchased my puppy within two days of having her she started throwing up blood and had bloody diarrhea. We took her into the vet and she had a parasite and was treated. ( We discovered this parasite they can get if their dog blows are not being properly cleaned or if they are eating poop. which I am guess it is not being cleaned up.) We also discovered she had an ear infection as they never cleaned her ears. I called into Puppyland and spoke to their manager and she assured me I would be compensated with the vet bills as I accrued which was about 400+ dollars. Long story story they stated that they would only cover $34.00 as the parasite wouldn't have caused the diarrhea and bloody diarrhea even after they spoke to my vet, and my vet confirmed that all of this was due to the parasite, that my puppy had. I honestly can say I rescued my puppy because who knows how she was being treated behind closed doors. This place needs to be shut down! Please do not shop here. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I have to say that buying a puppy from a store is against everything I stand for. The puppy we chose was not an "impulse" buy, but kind of just happened as we were losing our 12-year-old dog with lymphoma at the same time. The visits and the employees were actually great. The store was immaculately clean, and the puppies were all in spotless pens. They were able to provide health clearances for the parents when I asked and readily provided paperwork for me to look at. What I did NOT appreciate was being asked what my "price range" was, and then she "worked up a purchase price". We agreed on a price, which she pulled up on the computer. I took a photo of the screen just as she tried to put her hand over it to block me from doing so. I told her I would bring my husband back later that evening and we would discuss it. When we returned, they had the puppy out and ready to visit. When we went to the counter to purchase, there were now two ladies working with us and they both had their cell phones out rapidly texting someone. Then they pulled up the estimate and the price had increased by nearly $300. When I said that wasn't what I was told, they vaguely said "They want to know if you would be willing to pay this". I asked who "they" were and was told "upper management". I immediately said absolutely not, that purchasing a puppy should not be like buying a car and that we would leave if they did not honor the price I had taken a picture of, which they eventually did. Other than that it was a good experience, and fortunately my puppy is healthy with no issues. read more

This store makes me sick to my stomach. These poor dogs are kept in glass cages too small to even pace back & forth, day in and day out. All of them are in serious distress, crying to be let out of their cages. I witnessed an employee bang on the glass when two puppies in an extremely tiny container got into an aggressive altercation. The puppies are literally sitting in their own waste with nowhere to go, stacked on top of one another in fish-tank like enclosures, with no way to get any energy out. I cannot believe they're legally allowed to be in business. The employees here clearly have no conscience and no empathy for animals. If you're considering buying a puppy here, please please keep in mind what kind of business you're supporting. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to source a Shiba Inu through a breeder in Idaho I found Puppyland online and came into see what they had and could do for us. The sign on the building just says "PUPPIES" not "Puppyland" Inside, the facility is clean with a few visiting pens and helpful staff. We asked to be put on a waiting list for a Shiba Inu and received a call a few weeks later letting us know one was available. He is the cutest little guy and we bought him. The price was in line with quotes we had received from breeders. After concerns from reading some of the other reviews we took him to multiple vets and also had his feces tested for Giardia. All his tests came back clean. He is in perfect health and we are very happy with our buying experience. read more

They also said "the usda regulations aren't super great, so we also require some more regulations on top of theirs" I won't lie, we did buy a puppy there. I have only ever adopted puppies, so buying like this was new to me. I trusted them, then followed with my own research. Which showed that a few of their breeders are on the Humane Society "horrible hundred". I wish I didn't support a company like this, and I don't but my money did. Buyer beware. Recently my nephew and his girlfriend made a poor decision based on emotional needs rather than realistic financial sense. Their new puppy cost started at $1,900 and ended at $5,400 due to being charged 99.01% interest rate - $230 monthly payment for 22 months. I am not sure how this type finance plan is legal, but we are looking into it. Granted, my nephew and his girlfriend made a massive mistake with money they do not have nor can afford - Puppyland needs to engage in fair and ethical business practice. It was a 2 hour drive from our plaice to their location and so i told them that. they were not at all understanding. Then when we did arrive we were required to give a Picture ID just to talk to someone...1 red flag. When we did talk to the staff I said I wanted to know the cost of a Corgi puppy. I have a Bichon that I rescued 7 years ago who is 8 now and I feel like the breed is a perfect fit for me and my husband. I have done a lot of research looking for a reputable breeder and found some in Vegas and Montana but with travel and other fees the price would be about 3,000 for a new puppy. I started browsing puppy lands website Over the last few months and finally a Bichon popped up! We visited her about 4 times over a period of two weeks and after a while we decided to welcome her to our family. Our sales associate and the manager was always nice to us. We went in EXPECTING to pay a high price tag on a designer breed. We didn't expect to hear almost 5000 dollars! Ok but BUT we negotiated her down to 3000 out the door. That included everything taxes, shots, microchips and bag of food. I'm happy with Maci. She's so cute. She did however come home with kennel cough which is common for dogs coming from that environment. It's only been a week. She found the receipts where they are buying the puppies for 70$ a pup and selling for 8,000. Pups would come with cigarette burns and broken legs. Do not bring your business here. Received a cute little ball of fluff from my kids as a gift. The puppy came from Puppyland. After the first vet visit I found out that he had giardia (parasites passed through feces) so had to be treated for that aggressively because looking through Puppyland's records on our pup revealed that he had been treated no fewer than 13 times for parasites/worms (and he is only 10 weeks old!) and yet still came home with parasites. Out of curiosity I researched the breeder that our pup came from ( which was listed on the paperwork) and found multiple online reports, and even a video, that this breeder is a puppy mill! read more

Went in with a family member to buy a pup that they had picked out. Was casually asking the worker some questions as they were completely the paperwork and got so many red flags. The first was when he told me they don't use breeders in idaho. So all these pups are shipped across state lines when they're 6-7 weeks old. Stressful for new pups! Then he refused to give me the names of any of their breeders. I feel like if I'm spending that much $$ on a dog, I should be able to know who the breeder was. My final issue is that they keep these dogs in tiny glass cages. Like, fish tank sizes containers where they're sitting on glass and paper shreds. And they get limited human interaction. That's really not a good way to start a puppy off on the right foot. Overall, I'd never buy a dog from here. There are so many better options. read more
