Recently went to a wedding here that was a 10 out of 10. The staff facilities and food were all very good. They had a delicious taco bar and all the pasta around food was very good. I was a bit hesitant about the pricing- as it is more expensive than a typical nightly vacation for us, but you can tell that every dollar goes into the upkeep and care of the property. We stayed in a woodside cabin, which was sparkling clean and well-equipped. My only complaint would be that the mattresses could stand to be rotated more often as there was a near-comical slant to one of the beds. My parents and in-laws had lakeside cabins and the extra cost is well worth the breeze and more comfortable porch atmosphere, especially if you are spending all day on property vs going out and exploring. read more

Rented a cabin by the lake last spring for girls weekend and we got lucky after a night of rain the next day was warm sunny day. We got to sit by the lake and just relax and catch up. The owner was very helpful in meeting us for our check-in process and also showed us the way to our cabin as we did worry about getting a little lost. Any questions we had they were very helpful. I also needed to switch the original reservation and the woman at the reservation desk was able to switch my reservation to another weekend without any penalty or issues. The cabin was cozy and perfect size for myself two other guests. I really appreciated all the kitchen essentials were there. Would definitely like to go back. Hopefully next spring. read more

This was our first trip to MSLR and we loved it the staff was so very nice and the Rader family (Bill) went above and beyond to correct a booking issue we had. Stayed in Lakeview 26 cottage and it was absolutely perfect for our needs it has a great view of the lake and mountain this is now going to be our new vacation spot we spent many years at different Pocono vacation areas and finally found the one we love and it just feels so comfortable. Great place to spend a few days. We were a party of four, two adult and two college-aged boys. Cabin was clean and had every thing we needed. The weather wasn't great for our stay, but we made the best of it and still enjoyed our rowboat (only caught one sunny), walking the 2-mile nature trail, ping-pong near the Orchard, and some badminton near the beach. The leaves were just starting to change and we came home with some gorgeous photos. We will definitely visit again! read more

Very nice cabin, everything is made of wood and has a rustic feel. Smells great! Everything was very clean and they had a lot of good accommodations, such as a coffee pot, iron and ironing board, dishes, silverware etc. The main TV was an old CRT and we didn't have a remote for it to switch inputs after hooking up the DVD player they supplied in our room. They have a decent selection of VHS and DVDs for rent at no charge in the main office. The nature trail was very nice, and the area was beautiful. We went on the boat they supplied more than once, and had a great time. We did a lot of barbecuing and used the local Weis Supermarket, which I would also recommend. There is no internet in the cabins, but I would assume that is so that people go outside and enjoy the area surrounding them. The local restaurants are OK, but nothing too great. Overall it was a very nice getaway, the Staff was amazing, and the main office was always very very helpful and accommodating. With a few minor technology upgrades, including the internet and TVs this place would be perfect. But right now, it's damn near close! Great cabin! Great area! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would. When you sign a contract and budget for that said price and then you get an email the day after Christmas saying they are enforcing a clause in the agreement to raise the rates AFTER you've made multiple payments...then you ask for options because you can no longer afford it and then are met with an unsympathetic response and options that are ultimately pay more, get less than what you agreed upon or lose all your money...yeah BAD business. This was after their initial response of there are no options, no exceptions...Would not recommend and have lost thousands of dollars which only paid for a maximum of ONE hour of their time which was just touring the place. Do not sign an agreement with a no refund policy. There are better more accommodating venues who actually care. Oh yeah and rescheduling to give more time to pay is treated as a cancellation and you can't get your money back and you restart your payments at a higher price. Terrible, unsympathetic, soulless venue. read more

Our first visit and we stayed in cabin 24, with the lake view. Although the cabin was clean and the grounds are gorgeous with beautiful views, we were not very impressed. We paid over $1,100 for a 3 night stay and definitely do not feel like we stayed in a place worth that kind of money. Every single thing was basic. The bedrooms were so tiny with small double beds. The beds were the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. The AC worked well, in the living room only. So there was jo air conditioning reaching either bedroom because the AC blew the air at the opposite wall of the bedrooms. The ceiling fan couldn't be turned on high or else it made a loud annoying noise that would keep you awake. There was 1 tiny TV in the living room and that is all. None in the bedrooms. The front door also opens the wrong way, causing it to push through the 1st bedroom door and blocking the way. Just ridiculous. The bathroom was smaller than one on a cruise ship. The shower was the size of a port-o-potty and we ran out of hot water on our first night. The kitchen was tiny but had everything you needed, including a full fridge/freezer. During the daytime, you still needed to turn on lights for brightness due to the lack of windows and natural sunlight coming in. Again, the scenery, beach, lake,.erc., were beautiful, but thisnis definitely not my type of place, especially for this cost. read more

Extremely unorganized and unprofessional. By mistake they gave away our booking of cabins for my daughters wedding in 2019 as we were mid-way through planning. They straightened it out and we moved on. They cancelled her 2020 wedding due to Coronavirus...understandable. They took 60 days to refund our money, discovered 2 months after the last refund was made that they feel they made a mistake and refunded us too much through our credit card and are now threatening to sue us for criminal activity to unjustly enrich ourselves if we don't pay up in 7 days. Oh, and the week they gave us to investigate 3 years of credit card charges to see if we agree with their finding was the week of Thanksgiving when we were not even home to be able to do so. read more

I recently visited the lodge at mountain spring as a possible spot for our wedding. The events coordinator was pleasant and showed us the area. The ceremony spot is a tad underwhelming, and is next to a mosquito ridden pond. However, the reception room is well-lite, and has large window that let in a lot of natural light. We were taken through the historical part of the building, which was nice, but not conducive to a wedding flow (small rooms, low ceilings as typical with historical buildings). We then sat in the room where a buffet would be set up if we decided the buffet option. This room was a good distance from the reception/dining room area and would be hard for older guests. We were then told our guests would have to book the cabin rooms for a minimum of 3 nights. That was a clear dealbreaker, as who goes to a wedding for 3 nights?! The events coordinator (who's name I'm purposely leaving out) then went out to pick up information. I could hear the other events coordinator/management ask her "how's it going in there?" (referencing how we seemed as prospects) then there was an eruption of laughter and one of the women say "your face says it all." In the future, the events coordinator may want to make sure the future prospect is out of ear shot before being nasty. We already were aginst the place due to the underwhelming ceremony spot, but to hear the staff talking negatively about us made it clear that we would never pick the spot for our wedding. read more

We stayed in cabin #32. It is beautifully tucked away in the woods. Great porch with chairs and tables. Inside has king bed -soft mattress not my style- clean sheets. Across from the bed us a nice fireplace with TV over top. Lil kitchen area but works. Huge bathroom great jacuzzi and stand up shower. Check out is at 10am but the office doesn't open till 9a so we had to go back to the cabin to leave the keys since we left at 8a. Very nice would def come back. read more

We stayed at cottage #17 (Old Farm House) which was immaculate and well appointed. The resort is from a simpler time and features a quiet nature trail that circumnavigates a pristine lake. We found the grounds to be well kept and always peaceful. This resort is about swimming or canoeing in the lake, fishing, hiking and doing puzzles. We felt so much more relaxed and refreshed upon leaving MSL Resort compared to stays at Cape May or the Outer Banks. read more

We've been going to MSL for the last 5 years. My wife and I love the peace and quiet, the friendly people, the comfortable accommodations and the close proximity to various attractions. We've stayed in 2 and 3 bedroom cabins in May, June, August and October. Some trips have just been my wife and me. Others have had my son, daughter and their friends. The fishing was pretty good last year and the boats are free with each cabin. I recommend getting the trolling motor. Rowing against the wind can get tiring. The beaches are clean and well maintained. They each have loungers and are big enough to sit with or away from others, depending on your mood. For excellent Greek food, try Stephanikos in Tannersville. A fantastic brew pub is Barley Creek Brewery and that's close to Camel Back. It's great fun to zip line down the mountain! I can't say enough about this place. Love it! read more

We have been coming here for the last seven years, as a family vacation. The place is unbelievable... 5 minutes off of route 80 lies a slice of heaven. Every cabin we have stayed in has been immaculate, the staff awesome, and the peace and serenity is not to believed. The lake views are beautiful. There are either plenty of things to do... Or nothing to do, your choice. Every cabin has access to a rowboat, there are two beaches, one for each side of the lake. The lake is private, so only the guests are allowed to use it. You can fish, just row out and relax. They are open all year round. The cabins are very comfortable and go from rustic to pretty modern( for a cabin). Absolutely no motorcycles allowed; quiet surroundings is one of the key features the they have created here. They are defiantly on the more expensive side, but for one of my favorite places to go, I think it's worth it. BTW I am writing this sitting on the porch of cabin 27 read more

could not have been more displeased with the customer service just trying to book a room. The woman I spoke to was condescending, rude and hung up on me while I was trying to confer with my wife. I was looking to stay here for an event and would never stay here now. If you cant be civil to someone on the phone, I can only imagine what the service is like in person. Its amazing how many places no longer try to earn your business and treat you like they are doing you a favor. According to the woman on the phone, thats how they have been doing it for 60 years.
