I was really impressed with this place! It's definitely a hidden gem & I was surprised the entire place wasn't packed! The space is HUGE & the prices are more than affordable/reasonable! We stayed in a giant little villa with a full kitchen & dining area- full bathroom- one bedroom & a large fold out couch in the living room. It was more than big enough for 3 of us plus our dog! They're pet friendly which is refreshing!! Now this place is set up like a little village with the center being the front desk- inside the main area- they also have a ton of little extras such as a large movie theatre, gym/fitness center, game room, business/computer room & more. Everything is very nice, well taken care of & appears brand new. They also have the large indoor pool that connects to this building & behind it a full sized playground. My son LOVED staying here! He's a smart 6 year old & he thoroughly enjoyed the pool, playground, game & rec room! Our little villa was walking distance to the main building- being about a 6 or so minute walk or about 2 blocks! Very easy to find & go in & out. The staff was also really nice friendly and accommodating. I didn't hear or see too many other guests during our stay- which was pretty nice as well. We had the entire indoor pool to ourselves for a good 3-4 hours which is amazing! Overall I was MORE than happy with this place. I would absolutely return. Everything was CLEAN, in working order, & relatively new- which is nice! One of my biggest pet peeves is paying to stay at a hotel & then seeing their amenities are anything but & the microwave, mini fridge & tv are older then the ones in my home- that's disappointing. It's clean ! The hotels in the area that we've stayed in the past are old and run down. Village at Pocono is newer and nicer. I think they'll keep it that way. We got a dog friendly room, that didn't smell like dogs had stayed there. Plenty of hot water in the shower. My only suggestion to the management/owner would be to put a small fridge in the rooms and to have a communal area for coffee in the am. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. I love this place. The last time we stayed here, we had another couple sharing the two bedroom apartment, so I slept on the pullout couch. This time, i got a bedroom to myself!!! The apartment itself comes with free wifi, was spacious and modern, clean and bright. The kitchen was equipped with pots, pans, etc. and the bedrooms had queen sized beds and en suites. Every room had its own separate thermostat, so while my brother, sis in law and the babies kept their bedroom on the warmer side, I was able to keep my bedroom a cool 67 degrees. It was in the 90's the whole time we were there, so it was a treat to sleep cozy every night in a cool room. The village grounds are well manicured, gated and safe. We walked to the playground with the babies and took them for their first real swim in the huge indoor pool. There is also a workout room, tennis courts and bochee ball if you're so inclined. I recommend this place a million times over if you're ever in the area for a race weekend or just want a relaxing weekend away. it really is a great place! read more

Very nice and modern place! We've rented the two bedroom villa and found it to be very clean and tidy. They supply you with hotel benefits like towels and toiletry, but you also get an equipped kitchen with basic items like pots and pans, cookie sheets, plates, utensils, etc. staff is trained to be very friendly and accommodating. We got here a little early but because we were two couples one with a baby and the other with a toddler they then gave us out room early. Pretty close to the mountains, for those who are interested. About 10 mins travel time. The only down thing is the activities. Pool is a little small, change room is not connected to the pool, and the game rooms should be one big one as oppose to two little ones. We will definitely come back again but maybe next time in the summer since there is lots to do here. read more

Me and my husband celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary at "Village at Poconos". Its a beautiful and romantic getaway place. Loved the friendly staff! The club house has many amenities such as game room, home theatre, pool tables, indoor pool, gym and also a T.V. room with a separate dinning room space. The atmosphere was good and the staff has maintained it damn very clean. There are two different rooms, one being the studio and the other comes with a kitchenette. We stayed in the studio room for 2 nights. The rooms are pretty good with ample of room space with excellent storage space, bathroom, very clean beds. This place is right opposite to the nascar raceway and close by to many attractions. Loved every bit of this place :) read more

My husband and I stayed here last week. We upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom villa. We were staying with our small dog. From looking on the site the studios currently do not offer a fridge/microwave and I really wanted that convenience. It was well worth it to upgrade. The one bedroom villa is laid out like a small condo. The bedroom was very spacious. I am assuming from the layout this is what the studios look like. The accommodations exceeded expectations. It was gloriously clean and believe me I looked hard. After a long day on our first night I checked out the aquatic facilities. I had them all to myself. Robin at the front desk was very helpful and even brought me fresh towels even though there were towels aplenty. After a quick dip in the pool and hot tub I visited the changing room and sauna. So very clean, as in I forgot I was in a public facility. And then back to the room, it was wonderful and cozy my only complaints being an outdated shower stall (the changing room shower was a lot nicer) and an annoying gap underneath the door to adjoining room. Luckily we had no neighbors there during our stay. All and all it was pretty great and every person we dealt with there was absolutely phenomenal. I would definitely return. read more

We booked the Romance Package through WMMR's Big Friggin' Deal figuring we'd get in a full day of snowboarding and then have a place to stay for the night instead of driving home. I wasn't sure what to expect because most of the hotels in this area seem to be stuck in the 1960s/70s, but the place was AMAZING. Incredibly clean, super new and nice, sweet pool, hot tub and sauna. We had a one bedroom villa which also had a kitchen with coffee maker, dishes, etc. This place was way better than I ever imagined and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely come back during the winter again. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when we checked in the guy at the front desk gave us a key to another unit and didn't tell us our unit letter. So we started trying keys in the building and opened what we thought was ours. However, when we opened the door there were jeans and glasses on the bed so clearly someone else's place. Upon returning to the front desk, the staff was very apologetic and gave us the appropriate key...but still...c'mon. read more

Just got back from our little pocono getaway. Overall my boyfriend and I really loved coming here, and we will hopefully be returning. We love traveling to the poconos from the city because it is close enough to drive, but always feels like a different world when we are there. The lifestyle in the poconos is very different. It is also important for us to say THANK YOU to the Village at Pocono for offering a discount for Military and Police families. This was very thoughtful, kind, and helpful! front desk was so nice and accommodating in general. First let me say the only real negative about this place is it was slightly farther away from things. We only found 1 restaurant within a 5 mile radius, but it closed early. On a Sunday night we wanted to eat a late dinner at 8:30 and literally the only thing opened was a WAWA 7ish miles away. It was an adventure. This place is directly across the street from the Poconos raceway. So if you wanted to visit for that purpose, this is the best place to be location wise. This place was immaculate! Which we loved. We stayed in a studio that was pet friendly, since every other room was booked. We were hesitant at first, but we were totally surprised. Everything was super clean. The place looked rather new in general. I believe it was built in 2009. The only complaint I could think about with the room was the shower was a little small, and there was no tub. But honestly with the price we paid that is me being picky. I mean for this time a year to pay just over $100 for a room is hard to find unless it is falling a part. We really liked the pool area, hot tub, and sauna. Everything was a lot nicer quality then we originally expected. The movie room was a nice touch too! Loved playing ping pong and pool! Those were open 24 hours. We recently stayed at Villages of Pocono while attending Lantern Fest at the race track across the road . I recently lost my twin sister and to say I didn't want to celebrate a birthday without her is putting it mildly ! But hey .. Sending a thousand birthday lanterns to her in Heaven was like standing next to her The Village at Pocono felt just like home ! My son his wife , my husband myself and our granddaughter spent the night in their two bedroom unit ... Same experience as if I was at my timeshare . The units were immaculate .. The playground .. Safe and fun ...made for many smiles with my 4 yr old granddaughter. Haley at the front desk has the smile and personality of an angel ... Always upbeat . Smiling and accommodating ... It truly was a Birthday gift I will never forget A previous review noted it was " far" from local attractions ? Well if you are going to the racetrack you can walk there from this " home away from home" I agree with the suggestion ... A small market for milk bread etc on property would have been much easier .. But when I go to my timeshare I stop before arriving to get these items .. So I was prepared The grounds are peaceful and the staff full of warmth I would recommend this " home away from home" without hesitation ..,, my only fear is that this piece of heaven will soon be too popular ! read more

We stayed here in the winter before Covid hit to go snowboarding at JF/BB. It was fantastic and the service and friendliness of the desk clerk was excellent. It's a hidden gem and we plan to visit again. The amenities just in the lobby building were awesome! Checked in last night around 6:30pm, woman was friendly and the room was SPOTLESS. We stayed in the studio villa which is perfect for two people. Didn't get to use any of the amenities but walked around just to look and everything is so clean and beautiful. I will definitely be bringing the kids back to use the indoor pool, game rooms and theatre room. And you can't beat the price! read more

Unbelievably great hotel for $100! You rarely feel as if you get more than you pay for in life but this place delivers just that. Beautiful grounds, modern, attractive, comfortable clean rooms. Because the rooms are all housed in individual villas it provides privacy and it very quiet. Peaceful surroundings and the staff couldn't be nicer. Not sure how much I would like it during racing season though since Pocono Raceway is literally across the street. What keeps this from five stars is that there are attached rooms and the gap under the door was giant. If there was another resident there we would have clearly heard them and potentially smelled whatever they were cooking and vice versa. Shower head wasn't adjustable and sprayed a mist which was ok but not great. Would I book again, yes. read more

My fiancé and I stayed her summer of 2019 while on a 2 week road trip. We needed one night somewhere in PA and chose Village because it had a 24 hour indoor pool area/club house. We thought after 8 hours of driving it would be perfect! When we arrived in the early evening to check in, they told us that the activity area was closing in a half hour (even though it's advertised as open 24 hours). We were very disappointed with this information as we had booked this location, and paid a higher price than other places, specifically for that quality. The room was decent and had what we needed, but we would have been more pleased had the location been what was advertised. read more

Stayed here recently for 3 nights and this places sucked. It said they had a queen sized bed but it was definitely not more of a small full...like barely a full. The bed was also super uncomfortable. No food at all on the property and the ice machine never had ice. The room is like a house and it literally has a connecting door to ur room with a huge hole underneath so the maid can see inside your room if she's cleaning the conjoining room etc. read more

The Village at the Poconos was the hotel we picked when we planned our ride in a stock car at Pocono raceway. Hotel literally across the street from raceway. Hotel staff were extremely cordial and helpful. The rooms and common areas were as clean as I've ever seen. There is much to do on-site such as swimming, hot tub, ping pong , billiards, air hockey, basketball , tennis and much more. They even have a private movie theater . A well organized book with local activities and restaurants was very helpful. Poconos has way more to offer than I thought. We went horse riding on a whim - it was fun and reasonably priced. I urge you to consider this establishment if you are in the area. read more

Let me preface my review by saying that if you're looking for a nice romantic getaway, this hotel is probably a safe bet. It's clean and comfortable and has a nice scenic look. The staff is very nice and accommodating. If, however, you have work you need to get done while you're staying here, this place is horrible. They charge you $5.50/day to use wifi that cuts in and out multiple times per hour. On our last night there, it was actually down more than it was up. It's free to use the wifi in the clubhouse, but it's no better there. Some other negatives: 1. There's no business center in the clubhouse so if other guests are watching a movie (like they are right now), you're sol if you need to get work done. 2. The clubhouse is not within a walking distance from your hotel room so you'll need to drive there. 3. No refrigerators in the rooms 4. Horrible lack of lighting around the buildings. If you come in at night, you need to be very cautious as you will be unable to see when there's a sudden elevation change from driveway to sidewalk. I learned that one the hard way. 5. The temperature in the clubhouse is a bit too warm for my liking. I do like it kind of cool though so others might not have this problem. 6. No food on site. 7. Not many restaurants nearby. None of them deliver before 5. Only 1 delivers after 5. 8. Staff is not that knowledgeable about the surrounding area. For example, they didn't know that the only restaurant that delivers food doesn't deliver until after 5. Unfortunately their lack of knowledge led to me being stranded with no way of getting food -- I chose to stay back at the hotel to work while my wife visited with her family -- I made sure to call down to the front desk first to find out what options I would have for food but the information I got was faulty. 9. They aggressively block "freeware" websites. I believe they're trying to block torrent websites but in the process they block many legitimate websites as well, such as the Facebook company blog. EDIT: They refunded our internet usage charge because of how spotty it was during our stay. Perhaps it's not always that bad? read more

What a little gem! My husband and I decided at the last minute to go away for a weekend. We found this place and am so glad we did. Accommodation : we reserved a one bedroom suite. They call them villas. As soon as we pulled up, there was a gate and we had to be buzzed in. The grounds were lovely. It looked like a big ranch. Our villa was absolutely spotless. It had a full kitchen with anything you would need to cook, should you decide to cook a meal. The fridge, microwave, and oven were so spotless it looked like they were never used. It even had dish washing liquid! The carpeting also looked brand spanking new. The dining room table was a good size for four or five people to sit comfortably. Nice flat screen tv. Unfortunately it was not high definition, but that hardly matters. The bedroom had a door should you need some privacy. Linens were clean as a whistle no outdated bed spreads!! The bedroom also had a flat screen tv. Plenty of closet and dresser space should you want to unpack your clothes We were provided with a pack & play for our baby to sleep in. The only complaint about the room was the sofa. Very uncomfortable. I thought if I pulled out the bed it would be better but the pull out bed was also very uncomfortable. Amenities: beautiful grounds made for nice walks with my husband, 6 year old, and infant. We went at the height of fall foliage and it was perfect. They have a seperate club house which has a beautiful , clean indoor pool and hot tub. Luckily when we used the pool area, we were the only ones there so it was great. The pool space had comfy lounge chairs, tables and couches. Funky lighting at night made it even nicer. They had a small fitness center but we didn't use it. The locker rooms were spotless with showers and saunas. They also provided shampoos, conditioner , soap , lotion and disposable razors so you don't need to take anything with you to the pool should you want to shower after. They had a tremendous ( but cozy) lounge out area which had board games, flat screen, magazines, fireplace, lots of couches and chairs. The white carpeting in this room looked like no one had ever stepped on it! They have a theater room where you can reserve to watch a movie I thought that was pretty cool. Billiard room and game room. Nice. Service : the staff was sweet as could be. Helpful and nice. Check in and check out was super super fast which I appreciate because I hate a long check in after driving! My only complaint , no restaurant on sit, no room service. So make sure you bring snacks and things. I recommend Nicks Lakehouse for a bite to eat. Not expensive. We sat out on the deck which sits lakeside in lake Harmony. My second time staying here. The front desk ladies are super nice, the property is quiet and the room is clean and comfortable. It's a 30 min. Drive to Jim Thorpe; so be forewarned. We stayed here while visiting Pocono Raceway for some track days and it was very nice. Most hotels in the area are pretty old and we like to stay in new, clean places - this fit the bill. Not only was it clean and relatively new, but also a decent deal. Nice rooms and TVs, friendly staff, decent exercise room and pool.
