Great spot to stop for the famous banana daiquiris . I'm not a banana fan so I didn't try them but the take home cups they come in are really cute. The lookout views are beautiful and worth checking out. The souvenir shops with a wide variety of items, and I was able to get all my gifts for family here at really great prices.bOverall, it's a convenient stop for scenic views, shopping, and a quick drink if bananas are your thing.
Mountain top is a great place for souvenirs and a picturesque view. As well as the famous banana daiquiri with or without alcohol it's still great. Nice clothes, and nice souvenirs that aren't that expensive compared to other places. The workers will help you with anything you need and are great as well. Good photo ops and great views. You can't go wrong with mountain top.!
We stopped here as part of an Island tour. Souvenir shop had a plethora of options and was definitely on the pricier side . The Banana Daiquiri (7 million sold-supposedly) looked good although the lines were too long to get one-best option is to get in line first if there isn't a queue as tour groups are continuously arriving. The star of the show is the view of Magens Bay. Plenty of photo opps from the lookout point. A must stop when visiting St. Thomas.
The view from this point is amazing. Beware that it's definitely a tourist trap because you have to walk through a gift shop and bar to get to see the view. Items are overpriced but if you want convenience, this may be your place to shop. The staff are not the friendliest but they also have tons of tourist pouring in and them just want to keep the lines moving.

And oldest looking lady was extremely rude telling me "are you going move out of my way??" While I was with my baby looking at clothing. She didn't bother to ask nicely before that. You can choose more high end items like real silver jewelry or your more standard less expensive items like magnets, t-shirts, and hats. But let's be honest the real draw is the amazing banana daiquiris! And you can get a cute plastic cup you can keep and get a refill because one usually is not enough.
While on our tour of Saint Thomas, VI, my family's first stop was on the "World Famous" Mountain Top. Mountain Top is a mix of a tourist attraction, duty free souvenir shop, and bar. It allegedly has the best banana daquiris in the world and also it is allegedly where it was first invented. I cannot attest as to the quality of the banana daquiri, as I am not much of a fan of the drink, so I did not order while here. I did take time to peruse the store for souvenirs, it has everything from clothing to gift items, home decor, etc. I will also say the outside of the store is weird decorated with pirates... tons of pirates. It's odd but it works. My favorite part is of course the views of the island that the Mountain Top affords. Mountain Top sits atop St. Peters Mountain, which is 1500 feet above sea level. It thus allows you an amazing view of Magens Bay, St. John and the British Virgin Islands. I really cannot emphasize enough how beautiful St. Thomas looks from the observation area of Mountain Top. If you come to Saint Thomas, I highly recommend coming here. Its a long car ride up here, but it is worth it!

We went here after visiting the Botanical garden, which is just minutes away. Mountain top is a HUGE store with every conceivable souvenir from the island. Everything you can imagine and more. They sell the ubiquitous jewelry and even bottles of rum to take home. Plus, they have a daiquiri station in the back. The wife had a banana daiquiri and loved it! I was driving and had no alcohol. The drink had a kick and was worth the $11.95 for 8 oz. The woman/cashier was totally rude and not friendly, but even her bad attitude could not detract from the daiquiri and the spectacular views of Megan beach and islands. If you are in the area this place is totally worth the drive. You can do all your shopping in one place. Prices are better at the market in Charlotte-Amalie but I think the selection and quality is better at Mountain top. read more

It was too cloudy to see everything at the very top of the mountain, but there were some nice viewpoints along the way that we were able to stop at. I feel like it's always impressive to get a high view of a new city/country and this was no exception. We did drive to the very top as well to try a Banana Daiquiri. Neither my guy nor I are big fans of banana flavored things, but this was very tasty! We were pleasantly surprised by it and would definitely get again. The stand is located within a very large souvenir shop that is a tourist trap with very overpriced items. We didn't see anything that was impressive or interesting enough to actually get. read more
If you're already making your way up the winding hills of Mountain Top, you might as well stop because no trip up the mountain is complete without it. Sitting about 1,500 feet above the island on St. Peter Mountain, the place delivers one of the best views anywhere on Saint Thomas. From the overlook you're staring straight down at the famous curve of Magens Bay, with islands sprinkled across the bright blue Caribbean like someone tossed jewels across the water. But let's be honest people also come here for the banana daiquiri. They'll tell you they've served more than seven million since the drink was first made here in the 1950s... though after watching the blender go nonstop, I'm guessing the number is probably closer to ten million by now. It's a fun stop for souvenirs, a laugh, and a cold drink with a world-class view. Sure, there are other reasons to come up here but nothing beats a good daiquiri. Salute. read more

One of our stops for the day during our island tour. PLENTY of souvenirs to choose from, but you might be able to find better prices elsewhere. The banana daiquiri was REALLY good. LOVED the view of Magens Bay while sipping my daiquiri. Cute spots to take a few pics before leaving. read more

The views omg the views are amazing here!!!! We had a rental car so personally the drive up was rough BUT SO WORTH IT. The gift shop is huge so we took advantage and got some souvenirs here. Huge verity as well & good service. Quite the adventure but we had a great time. read more
Beautiful view of Magens Bay! The Banana Daiquiri was delicious after a stop on a local tour. Busy location with a lot of tour buses. There are a lot of souvenirs to choose from as well. Overall I recommend as a tour stop. read more

Prices aren't bad. Typical souvenir shop. $6 magnets. $30 T-shirt. $40 hoodies. No one is bothering you. The bathrooms are very clean. There's food and drinks available too. World Famous Banana Daiquiri. Ice Cream with Rum Cake read more

First stop during our excursion u come into the shopping area, big area plenty of souvenirs to shop & look around. Another treat here is the great tasting Banana daiquiri they are very good, a bit on the sweet side but otherwise pretty good. After grabbing drinks we went outside to check out the amazing views & wowww! Beautiful, beautiful views so nice so peaceful it was lovely to see, definitely a must see view. read more

I had a fantastic time looking the gorgeous views and sipping a drink that actually felt natural. They make really fresh from the scratch banana daiquiris and do believe in the hype. And they are at a very reasonable price. The views are just spellbinding. Plan here to come for 15mins and that's good enough if you are visiting the island for a short duration. There is a sale section for refrigerator magnets ($2) and that makes for a great souvenir purchase. There is also a small sale section for T shirts. Came here before the tourist hour and had the first daiquiri they made for the day and it was an nice experience. read more

Y'all this place is wild. I give it a 5 for the views, a 5 for the amount of booze in the banana daiquiris, and a 5 for a kitschy tourist spot. You can shop while you drink and take in the views - you'll find every tourist souvenir you are looking for and some pretty weird pirate statues. Still had fun read more

Yo!!! Best view, best service, best daiquiris on the island!!! Love it! They have 3 different sizes to choose from. The #2 and #3 come w souvenir cups and the #1 is the typical plastic cup. Sooo delicious!! I had 2 #3s. If you do a refill in ur cup you can save $2! read more
We've been to St. Thomas multiple times, but this was our first time visiting Mountain Top. I wish we stopped by on our earlier visits. It's a great tourist destination, as it has the best and largest gift shop I've seen on the island. They have everything here for shopping, and the items seem like good quality. They have an amazing supply of apparel (hats, t-shirts, keepsakes, jewelry, sweatshirts, etc.), rum, and gifts. Pricing is what you'd expect at a tourist shop, but everything seemed reasonably priced. And the bar at the back has nice options for everyone. If you like bananas, you have to try their frozen banana daiquiris, which they're famous for. They have other drink options as well. Then be sure to take in the amazing sights from their balcony which has unmatched views of Magens Bay and the BVI's. It's probably the highest point on the island of St. Thomas, so you can't beat the views. We came on a day without cruise ships in town and it was a little overcast, so there were very few people there. There was ample parking too. The drive up was tricky, but manageable. Give yourself enough time to shop and enjoy a cocktail while taking in the beautiful views! You won't regret it! read more
Great place to visit to get a great view and some gorgeous photos. It is also a great place to buy souvenirs. Large selection for anyone on your list. This is also the home of the World Famous Banana Daiquiri. Sadly, since I'm not much of a drinker and I had a margarita for lunch I missed out on this. I'll definitely plan on trying it next time around. They also had a rum tasting area. Accompanied a lot of people. It was busy, but it didn't feel overly crowded. read more
Adventurous road trip to get up to Mountain Top. You can reward yourself with their famous banana daiquiri and appreciate the best birds eye view of Magen's Bay and beyond without a drone. Forgive me for forgetting your name mate but if it was Ollie. Thanks for the fun memorable interaction. You were great man. I'm still smiling from my time up there. Walk through the huge gift shop to get to the bar in the far end. From there you can access the viewing platform and take your selfies. Lots of pirates hanging about some historic cannons. If you are visiting St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mountain Top is a must visit ... not for the Banana daiquiri's, but for the view. Beautiful! Mountain Top is the king of gift shops; a warehouse of shirts of every color, size, type, plus hats and other nick-nacks. There is something here for every tourist and their family back home. Prices are on par with a Walmart but you can find a few bargains. The Banana daiquiri's are very overpriced and have no consistency. Mine was weak and needed more Banana flavor. My friends was more like a banana smoothie and if there was rum in it I couldn't tell. One guy from the UK (my guess based on his accent) told the bartender his tasted like shite and requested they make it again, this time with the dark rum. But the the main reason to visit here is the mountain high view of Magen's Bay, beach, and several islands off in the distance. Beautiful! read more

I did not know what this place was. I was told to go there for the views. It is a huge gift shop with a bar and amazing views of Magens Bay and the British Virgin Islands. This place is located about 1500 feet above sea level which allows you to have a great panoramic view. The gift shop has everything you can think of. It is big. The Banana Daiquiri is excellent. You need to try it. I found it expensive but It was expected as this is a touristy place. It is free to get in. So you can go there just to admire the view. read more

Beautiful views!! This was a really nice place to stop at on my cruise aboard the symphony of the seas. Even though there isn't much to do up here, the view itself is AMAZING! Do NOT miss this if you have the chance. Also if you want to see a full tour of this place just search MrBucketlist St. Thomas Mountain Top. Enjoy this view! read more
It's a gift shop with a balcony. Don't be tricked into thinking it's anything more. Don't get me wrong, if you're looking for a gift shop, this is a fine one. Definitely worth the drive if looking for souvenirs to take home plus a great view and a drink if you drink alcohol. Glad we went and checked it out. read more

We where shopping in a few stores for rings. I couldn't find any that I liked, and then we found this place. They had a wide variety of jewelry and a ton of rings. So hard to decide! I ended up settling on a whale and turtle one, 30$ each or 2 for 40$. Considering the fact that most rings are 40-50$ each, this was a great deal. The view was insanely gorgeous. Highly underrated. Awesome. read more
