Probably the best store I've ever been in at an airport - ANYWHERE! Duty free shopping that has a very nice selection of souvenir apparel and jewelry. To go along with that they are basically a full blown liquor store, with just about everything imaginable. That being said, the rum selection was one of the most expansive I've seen anywhere, would have made Captain Jack Sparrow a happy man, errrrrr pirate. In addition to that they had a selection of higher end jewelry as well as cigarettes (and a lot of them). Plenty of stuff here to consider for the last minute souvenir shopping. Staff were all friendly and helpful, very much the culture the entire time we were in PR. Made for a great was to depart this wonderful island. Hard to miss it if you are going to be leaving via plane, check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Dufry is a liquor and souvenir store located inside the airport of Puerto Rico. The cool thing about it is you can buy Puerto Rican rum and take it in the plane. They put the bottles on a special bag you can't open on the plane and It doesn't count as extra luggage. I thought it was pretty cool and convenient. I got pitorro and some other flavored rum and both were about $12 each. No extra cost for the special bag. Plus the lady who helped us was super nice. She explained us everything we needed to know about Puerto Rican rum and helped us make a choice. There's a thousand of liquor store on this airport but I recommend Dufry the most.

It felt very disorganized, & the lines were extremely long which made everything feel slow & a bit stressful. I also needed an accommodation & ended up waiting quite a while b4 getting assistance. Part of the delay came from not being told at the check-in counter that I needed to show my boarding pass @ the accommodation station. I was told someone would be w/ me shortly & to sit by the accommodation area, so I waited (but it ended up taking longer than expected). Eventually, I realized what was going on & went up to the accommodation station myself. When I got there, the employee acted as if I was supposed to already know I needed to present my boarding pass, which added to the frustration in the moment. The long waits & lack of clear instructions made things more difficult than it needed to be. However, when I got to the JetBlue gate the employees there were way nicer & helpful. They seemed to have it together. So it's a mixed experience.

I didn't notice any staff members in the area, but once we found the correct baggage carousel, our luggage started arriving fairly quickly and we were able to collect our suitcases without much delay. After exiting the terminal, we requested an Uber, and our driver arrived within just a few minutes. We were picked up right outside the terminal and didn't need to walk to specific ride-share areas.

Salad and toppings that looked like they've been sitting out forever, a coffee section with very limited options. The sitting area sucked too. It was packed l. There wasn't much an hour wait with a huge line just to get in after we arrived. People were sitting on the floor because all the tables and couches were taken. If you got up, someone was waiting to steal your seat. It was nice to grab a coffee and some sodas, but we didn't stay long!

Mini sandwiches with sad droopy melted cheese from the warmth of the room. Some sort of salty soup, lukewarm coleslaw. Nothing edible. Luckily they have a QR code where we could order some warm food. The menu never changes for this. Always arroz con candles, steamed frozen veggies from a bag, and tough chewy pork pieces claiming to be pernil. Oh they also have penne with Alfredo or penne with marinara. Sometimes the microwave doesn't work so they don't serve the food leaving u to wait in the extremely long lines outside to order fast food from the terminal. I will say a huge perk of this lounge is the booze. Endless Medalla lights make us happy campers as we kill some time.

For you whiskey drinkers out there, Johnny Walker Gold is cheap, $45 for a large bottle when Kmart sells it at $55. Johnny walker black is also on sale 2 for $68. They also have the coveted White Hennessy for $50, which is dirt cheap, this pure white cognac isn't sold in the US and my friends back stateside have told me they have paid close to $100 per bottle to get it. It is veeerrrryyy smooth. This store is one of the best ways to transport alcohol stateside without it breaking all over your stuff in your luggage and weighing it down. I wish they had a wine section. If you're not into the alcohol the other 50% of this store is perfume, which is all reasonably priced. I always stock up on my Marc Jacobs Daisy here. 4.25fl oz for $70 is about $25 cheaper than at retail stores. The employees here aren't pushy on sales either. I think they are bored and just looking for someone to talk to about anything. If you've got time to kill in this tiny airport check this store out. #byebye #St.Thomas #USVI

This is an airport that you get off the plane on the tarmac and walk to the terminal. That is fine, if a bit warm during summer, but during the rainy season I can imagine it is unpleasant. Inside, the terminal is perfectly functional but not much else. We waited a long time for our bags and ours were the very last to be unloaded. I guess someone had to be last but it was stressful because I thought the bags did not make the flight. They advise to arrive 3 hours before your flight, which considering the very small size of the airport seems odd. But for the departure we will comply.
