Updating my review…read more Tyler and Sam reached out to me upon reading my review and graciously offered to make up an instructor no-showing by comping their $30/30 days special. This alone speaks volumes of how much they care about their business and the community. After taking 2-4 classes a week for the past 4 weeks, I can say they absolutely deserve 5 stars. There is a separate restroom down the hall which has a code for extra security/privacy. Their studio is clean, smells great, and offers beautiful views and vibes both during the day and night. I love the view of the mountains during the day and the natural light. At night, depending on which class you take, you could partake in a candle lit class, a cool color-changing class, sound bath classes, and more. I have taken classes with Sam, Alyssa, Keshia, and Jen. They all offer a unique experience and I enjoyed each of them in a different way. So much variety AND time slots, you are sure to find what you need. From slow flows, to sculpt classes (fun!), to sound bath/meditative classes, and even mat pilates. So many options. I really enjoy hot classes and I believe they only offer hot classes on Saturdays (they do offer warm classes throughout the week though!) They are close enough to the Trolley Station where you can easily get a smoothie or quick bite before or after class, but far enough so parking is never a problem. Perfect location. I came across their studio through ClassPass and so glad I did. I am the type that enjoys both "personal" studios and "commercial" studios for separate reasons. If you like personal studios, I'd highly recommend The Balanced Yogi. Be a part of the family and enjoy the opportunity of growing with their teachers on their journeys.

She was prompt via email (which is a big plus in my book), professional, and extremely accommodating with my last minute and finicky requests. We accidentally arrived 15 minutes early but she was ready to go and got us taken care of. This was my girlfriends first massage and she was very nervous going in. Becky was her masseuse and she came out happy and relaxed. A colleague of Becky's did my massage and was equally wonderful. I am athletic and have a very tight neck and back. She did some serious digging(at my request), exposed me to some completely new techniques, and I left happy and limber. The entire experience, from ambiance to the actual massage, was great. I totally recommend Massage By the Fire!

I've had every type of massage from everyone from a spa trained masseuse (basically just lie there…read moreand nap for an hour while they trail their hands over your body) to hard core massage therapists (one actually gave me a nose bleed) and acupuncturists (my fear of needles somehow doesn't extend to acupuncture). I have to say this is the most amazing massage I've ever had! The woman used a couple techniques I'd never had before and a few of my favorites. I was incredibly relaxed even when she was doing the deep work. She took the time before we started to find out why I was there, not just what was physically bothering me but any stress I was carrying. I went in with lower back, neck, and shin pain as well as nervous/anxious energy about an upcoming event I didn't feel prepared for. I walked in a ball of nerves and pain and left floating. I felt emotionally clearer and physically pain free. I will definitely be back again. Gonna make this a regular monthly treat.
