TERRIBLE experience; I was 5 min late to my appointment to get a tetanus shot and they wouldn't see me. Go anywhere else.

Stay AWAY!!! HORRIBLE. If I could give negative starts I would.. I hate them so much. In November I came in because I had a dizzy spell where I nearly collapsed. They said they couldnt treat me there and needed to do EKG and other things at a SUPER Zoom Care. So they sent me to the one in Lake Oswego where they said my insurance was accepted (NOPE!) and only 15 dollars total for visit. NOPE. I got first a bill for $340 ish out of the blue which I paid. It wasnt till recently I went to the Tanasbourne one again to get treated for pneumonia. I found out that I also had a $300 dollar bill to pay at this one.. (for doing nothing at all but being seen and told I gotta go to super) I paid it. Then saw a fairly nice PA who prescribed a weird med levofloxacin (caused me headaches and other side effects) and Albuterol. Paid another $300 ish.. I am out nearly $1k to this fraud of a business. (I am still sick after calling back and requesting a Zpack which they did and codeine cough syrup(Denied). I am not a person trying to get opoids.. I am horribly sick and need to sleep. Now I will have to go some place else (levo and zpack did not work for my lung condition) She told me that levofloxacin would let me sleep and I wouldn't cough.. NOPE! When people come in obviously sick you would think they would help you. I havent slept more than 2hours a day in over 2 weeks. The PA I talked to over the phone said across the board Zoom would not prescribe anything with opiate in it. If you legit need it you better look elsewhere. They act like you are a drug seeker. My cough is so bad its ridiculous. If you plan to go to them you might as well go to a Super and save yourself DOUBLE the cost. Avoid this scam. RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Unfortunately this company as a whole is no longer trusted by me or my family. Our appointment was billed to the wrong insurance, then it was coded wrong and our insurance didn't cover it. Went in for a standard health check and they billed us $407 and then took it out of our card on file with no authorization. Do not give them your card info. This happened months after the visit and we only found out because we checked our bank statements. I spent hours on the phone with both Zoom+care and our insurance and besides taking them to court for insurance fraud we seem to be out our money because of their business practice. My hope is for this review and my constant sharing of this story going forward will cost them more than the money they took from us. read more

Avoid at all costs!!! I went here for a general check up and discussed my weight due to gaining some weight recently (among other check up items since I was hoping to find a new Dr in the area I just moved to) and the provider decided to code my visit as "weight loss" so NEITHER of my TWO health insurances would cover it. Once it was denied, they just charged my card on file for $335. Originally, I thought it was a coordination of benefits issue so we contacted both insurances and Zoom Care multiple times each just to have them tell us it will take 6-8 weeks to go through properly. Now 5 months after the checkup visit, I am finding out they put in the wrong code for the visit and they say they have nothing they can do about it. I was on the phone making an appointment around 3:30 PM from work. They had a 3:45 or 4:00 appointment. I have insurance and I've been trying to make appointments anywhere I can (since last year) to get simple tests done. If I'm worried about my health, I should be able to see someone ASAP. I successfully made one appointment months ago at a Providence location and wasn't happy with my visit. I didn't get anywhere. I just added to my list of health woes. Plus, I felt like I was answering questions about everyone BUT myself. "Does your boyfriend smoke?" Blah. My family medical history is lengthy and scary, so I make like a hypochondriac and get to thinking that I'm dying of liver failure (maybe, who knows?) I wasn't familiar with ZoomCare, but I'd seen crazy Kevin's reviews. My experience was completely positive. I didn't have to wait for an appointment. No one else was there. It put my mind at ease. I didn't have to fast for bloodwork. I didn't have to wait to be seen. I was offered tea. I grabbed my cup and they were already calling me to the back. Everything is clean. They have you sign in with an iPad. I had blood work and a urinalysis on the spot (I love peeing in cups!). I had some urinalysis results in ~2 minutes. The rest of my results are being emailed to me within 1-3 days. The staff is awesome and helpful & the only thing you need to be aware of is the $99 fee that they charge if you're late or miss an appointment. Time is money. Why make a same-day appointment and not show up anyway? It doesn't bother me. They will call me if anything comes back abnormal, schedule follow-up visits and answer any questions I might have. This was actually a better alternative than handling the nightmare of trying to get in to see my doctor within a 2 month period. read more

I get that Zoom+ wants to be different, but I'm confused by how requiring an appointment qualifies as "urgent" care. The lady who examined me was great, efficient, & pleasant. The rest of my experience, however, was pretty bad. I didn't know I needed an appointment, which I would have made before getting on the Max train for an hour only to finally arrive & find out they were closed for lunch (at 2pm). So I had to return at 3:15. (Urgent care???) As I sat in the waiting area, I noticed the big screen TV facing the picture window that was displaying my first name & appointment time. I have an unusual first name & am well-known in my community. I felt as though they were outting me there. What really pushed me over the edge and will get me to report them to the Oregon Insurance Division came at the end of my visit. While I waited to be checked out, I was alone in the lobby, standing at the reception podium. I glanced down and could clearly see someone's three prescription bottles. I have Low tier Obamacare (visiting here from California) - this means you can't use zoomcare - they'll refer you to the big Urgent cares in the neighborhood - this is after I filled out the webforms, login, password. I feel awful writing this review because the service I got was pretty awesome otherwise, and I did not want to make a scene about this in the clinic, but I really do feel like I got scammed pretty hard considering that freezing off a tiny wart on my toe cost me almost $500 for one treatment, which isn't even guaranteed to work the first time around. Went in today to get a plantar wart removed. In the office I was told that this "procedure" would cost me somewhere in the camp of $230. Fine, bit the bullet on that because it's been bothering me for a long time. But please, ZOOM+Care, please tell me how you still had the audacity to charge me another $230 for an "office visit". When I was sitting in the office, I was told the procedure would cost $230. But then you tell me that I owe you double AFTER you did everything? And I do not become aware of this other charge until it is time to pay for the service. So, I am out $470 for a wart removal, which you are also saying may not be effective with one treatment. Why would you not tell me that the "office visit" was going to be a separate charge from the "procedure" itself BEFOREHAND?! This is a lot of money to spend for a very simple procedure. And I get it, healthcare is expensive -- but PLEASE clearly communicate what this costs because this is not an insignificant amount of money, especially around the holidays. I really do think that the $230 for what I got done is fair because I agreed to it. But doubling it when I was checking out and caught of is unfair and makes me not want to come back. Update -- trying to get through to someone to get your money back is next to impossible. The girl I spoke to on the phone yesterday said that there was "nothing that can be done" and would not transfer me to anyone else to talk to. However, they're "problem solvers" line is available, but will just take you to a voicemail. If we could give Zoom Care a NO STAR rating for our recent experience with them we would. Next time Dr Meghan McCormick listen better and ask better questions. I know you may get a lot of Internet self diagnosers who come into see you. But when somebody tells you they are "ACTUALLY MEDICAL TRAINED" give them the benefit of the doubt. During my Medical Assistance education not once did I read that CHF was contagious. Because I have a sore throat and postnatal drip as well as a cough. You NEVER asked dates of his previous illnesses or WHEN a cardiologist released him. You saw a fat man with a cough and allowed that to prejudice your diagnosis. In late April he was given (2) rounds of Bactrum which cleared this up...I suggest you sharpen your bedside manner, ask better questions, and loose your prejudice of people's physiques when coming up with both a treatment plan and diagnosis. read more

My daughter (whom is covered by my insurance) went in to be seen by this rip off outfit. We have a 30 dollar copay. Zoomcare billed her debit card for $225.81 even after they were repeatedly told and shown proof of insurance. Worse, this was by no means her first visit to this location she had her full info on file. We called to complain but we're met by more ineptitude and poor attitudes. Have been to this location multiple times. Staff and providers are efficient, friendly and helpful. Care is definitely focused around the one single issue you come in for so don't expect a full physical or history to be taken (unless you go here for PCP care- I would guess it's different in that case). My experience was a bit underwhelming for two reasons- 1. Went in due to illness that is continuing to get worse. Suspected pneumonia and was sent for a chest xray. Happy to report no pneumonia/cancer so that's good. A bit annoyed that my only option is to let the illness continue to progress and come back in a week once I feel worse. It is what it is I suppose and I've never had much luck with getting medical care so- I'll cross my fingers and hope I don't end up in an ED somewhere! 2. I was initially offered an inhaler as a treatment option (prior to knowing if I had pneumonia and was going to need antibiotics or not). Inhalers make me feel funny and I don't like them. Was told that if I changed my mind I could use the ZoomCare chat and get one ordered later. So- I don't have PNA, but I'm also stuck with a "wait and see" treatment plan. My lungs are tighter today than they were yesterday which is scary so I decided to try to get the inhaler. Problem?? Their chat system is INCREDIBLY busy and feels nearly impossible to get help this way. I sat on their website hitting the refresh button on chat about every 15 minutes for FOUR hours before I was able to get help. I'm guessing not everyone has a job that allows for sitting at a computer that long or the time to devote to this endeavor...meaning you're going to have to do a second appointment (and a second copay). I will say Chat went well and was easy and straightforward once I got connected. My advice? Take every possible medication they offer you during your first visit, otherwise you're going to have to go to the trouble, time and expense of a second visit. Zoom chat is a great idea- but it's not very available. Forewarned is forearmed. read more

Took our info before telling us how long the wait was before the next available time slot... my wife walks out to tell me it will be over an hour waiting in pain.. I told her we could immediately go to another I called while she was inside. The lady at the counter said it would be $99 fee if we left for actual 'urgent care' because in taking the initial info she entered it automatically as an appt. So we can choose between getting charged a hundred bucks for 5minutes and get help now or wait in pain another hour. Sick? Can't get in to see your doctor? Not life threatening or urgent, but you do need to be seen today? Don't go to immediate care or the ER. Go to Zoom Care. The process is very expedient. You schedule an appointment by phone or on the web. You get an actual appointment--no long waits with other sick people. They use paperless check-in and it really could not be simpler. They use state-of-the art equipment. (I experienced keyboard envy in the exam room.) Be sure to bring your ID and insurance card. Don't be late! You will be rescheduled if you are more than 5-10 min late. This makes sure that everyone is seen at the actual appointment time. I was in and out in less than 30 min. They can fill simple prescriptions onsite and offer many OTC medications in the ZoomStore. My doctor (A. Gonzales) was great. I will definitely be back. read more

I made an appointment one morning for 1:30 that afternoon - I was coughing violently and had a whole lotta chest congestion happening, and the (ahem) nature of the congestion told me it wasn't just an average cold, 'kay? Making the appointment was easy as pie, just clicked the time slot I wanted on their website, answered a few questions, done. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk was friendly, professional, and efficient, and offered me water, tea, and kleenex while I waited (I was there a few minutes early). Right on time, I was brought back to the exam room, checked over, diagnosis made, and prescriptions written. At no time did I feel rushed, or like my questions weren't answered. I really appreciate too that she gave me meds, but didn't do the antibiotics auto-dispense that many urgent cares do. She thought what I had was likely viral, so they wouldn't help; instead, gave me an inhaler and cough syrup, told me how to self-care and what to watch for, and ordered a chest x-ray just in case I was pneumonia-bound. [The chest x-ray was not on-site, but a few blocks away at Providence. I was in and out of there in minutes too. Review to come.] No complaints whatsoever from me, they do it right. I was seen at 1:30, got the x-ray and filled prescriptions and was in my jammies in bed by 3:00. Efficient and quick yet caring and professional. Consistent, compassionate care. Every single time I got to this location, I am amazed by the differences between Zoomcare's treatment and the treatment I've received elsewhere. I've been there several times for different issues and have received the same level of care each time. This weekend's visit reminded me to finally write this review! This Saturday I woke up with a fever. I was pretty bummed, since, in my feverish state, I thought I'd have to spend the day in Immediate Care or at the ER. Then I remembered Zoomcare and felt very relieved. I called to make an appointment (at 8:30, half an hour before they opened - I believe they have an answering service who gets the phone at that time?) since I was too woozy to use the ridiculously simple online appointment calendar. The person who answered was gracious, helpful and even helped me decide if I should take a fever reducer prior to the appointment or not. When I arrived at Zoomcare, it was obvious that it was a busy day for them! But the receptionist never wavered in her professional, courteous manner. At one point, a man came in to ask several questions about Zoomcare's policies, etc. Even though it was obvious that she had NO time for questions like these, instead of just referring him to the website, she provided thorough answers to his questions in a relaxed way so that he didn't feel like he was a bother. Such a pro. When my turn came, I saw Dr. Erin, whom I've seen a couple of times in the past. She was awesome as usual. She has such a great bedside manner, relaxed and personal, yet still professional. I wish I could have taped it to show other Dr.'s what they're missing. Bad news - she thinks I have H1N1. Good news - here are ALL the things I need to weather the flu - including a note for work, which, in my fevered state, I wouldn't have remembered on my own. Super thorough while still showing me compassion like a human being (seriously, other docs, please take note). All in about 15 min. You guys seriously rock. Now that I'm in my little nest with my pets recovering from the flu, I'm seriously wondering why I don't go there for regular care. That might be the next step. read more

Oh man, I hate going to the doctor, and they were amazing! I had been sick for a week, avoiding the doctor, when a friend recommended Zoom Care. I called at 3:00pm and had an appointment for 3:30pm. I got in to see the doctor about 2 minutes after I arrived, and I was out with prescriptions I could pick up at the Target across the street within the hour. It was the fastest, most effective, efficient, and pleasant doctor experience I've ever had. They handled my insurance so easily and quickly, and the doctor and the woman at the front desk were both wonderfully pleasant and helpful. They made sure all my questions were answered and concerns were addressed before I left the building. I can't imagine going to any other doctor. read more

I've always hated going to the doctor - you never know how much it's going to cost, it takes forever, it's inconvenient, and just over all not a good time; there's nothing worse when you're already feeling like crap. I've managed to avoid medical intervention for anything other than routine preventative care for the past decade, until my usually amazing immune system failed me (while I was on vacation, no less). I knew I wasn't going to get better on my own this time. I heard about ZoomCare from a co-worker, but it sounded too good to be true. It's not. They're fast, clean, very up-front about prices - they have a "menu" of their most common services on their website, and you can do everything from booking your appointment to reviewing your medical records online. They do take insurance, they're open 7 days a week, and can usually get you in same-day. My appointment was at 11:00, and I was actually seen at 11:00. I saw a Nurse Practitioner, Christy, she was friendly and thorough. My illness was pretty straightforward; she had history taken, exam completed, one quick diagnostic test done, meds prescribed and I was checked out by 11:15. I've been asked many times if I felt my exam was adequate, and yes, even in that amount of time, it was. Think about it - you may spend an hour at your doctors office, but how much time actually with the doctor, and how much time is spent waiting? No wasted time talking to a nurse first with lots of waiting, just to the point and done. Absolutely amazing!!! read more

My girlfriend was feeling ill for about 5 days before deciding that she needed to be seen by someone. I searched yelp and came across ZoomCare. I went online and scheduled an appointment for 4:15pm that same day. We walked in 10min early and the nice girl behind the small desk quickly checked us in. We waited less than 10 minutes before the doctor on duty came out front for my girlfriend. 30-minutes and $75 dollars(we did have insurance) later we walked out with medication in hand. I go here every time I'm sick because for one its close to where I live and the staff is so nice. I hate going to the doctors because usually the doctors are rude and the place isn't welcoming but that's not the case with zoomcare! Every time I go Dr. Erin is there and she is the best I hope she is there every other time I go as well! She offers a doctors note for work, she reassures me that its okay to come back if I'm not feeling better. She really just knows her stuff and covers all the bases within one visit. She makes sure she runs tests to make sure she is giving you the right diagnosis which is fantastic! I'm just completely satisfied and will only go here if I'm sick! Visited zoomcare, after trying to get into Adventist and an independent counselor. Adventist told me it was a six week wait, the independent counselor told me five weeks. I was in desperate need for some help and got A appointment with zoom care and Got in three days after I looked at their website. Before I came to the Tanasbourne location, I had a skype video doctor appointment with Johannah Lutz. She was super nice and wanted to help me, but due to the symptoms I was having, I needed to go in to the actual office. I chose to try the skype option first, because without insurance at the moment, $35 was a very good deal! I made an appointment for the same day, and was seen by Erin Helton. When she examined me, she was very friendly, and understanding. I run a lower temp normally (97.7) and so I usually have to plead with doctors to listen to me when my temp is 99 that I DO have a fever. She never questioned me. The appointment was quick, in and out. Prescription in hand. AND the $35 was taken off the office visit payment. Which, for no insurance, was an awesome price. I am very happy my employer has Zoomcare as an option, because Erin will be my new primary care doctor! read more

My husband visited this zoom care and the doctor brushed him off because he was young and he assumed would feel better in a week. He didn't think it was necessary to draw blood or do much of anything and when I voiced my concerns just brushed me off. Just 8 weeks later my husband DIED! If I could give a place negative stars I would. That extra time could have helped save his life if the doctor had listened to us. Just one week after the visit he landed in the ER because his symptoms were worse and as soon as we walked in those doors the staff could see he had something terribly wrong. This place is great and after going here I will never go to another urgent care facility if I can help it. I actually arrived at the nearby urgent care facility first and was told my time there including waiting and seeing the doctor would be an hour and a half. An hour and a half later they came in to tell me the doctor was running behind and would be another hour. Exasperated and feeling terrible, I asked if I could walk over to the Starbucks and come back, and they said okay. That is when I noticed the zoom care right there. I decided to go in and just see if they could fit me in. They told me I could be seen in 15 minutes! The receptionist promptly took my information and didn't give me the usual stack of 20 forms. They were right on time and the provider I saw was quick and efficient. They even had the prescription I needed right on site and gave it to me when I checked out. All for much less than I would have paid at the urgent care. I called the number on my invoice a few days later with an insurance question and someone answered right away - no phone tree to go through. Zoom+Care should be called Slow (no) Care. Though the website for Zoom+Care clearly states that walk ins are welcome, the actuality is they do NOT. If you need immediate care go to Urgent Care because Zoom+Care does not provide it. You must make an appointment online. I took my son to Zoom+Care in Tanasbourne because he had a rapidly spreading rash on his face around his eyes. I was concerned it could spread to his eyes. I took him to Zoom+Care at 2pm only to find that they were closed for lunch. Yes, apparently the entire staff leaves for lunch during the middle of the day. We waited for them to return only to find out that an appointment was required and the next available appointment was 4 hours later! We left without seeing a doctor. I thought Zoom+Care was supposed to be an alternative to expensive and long line urgent care. It is not. Zoom+Care is just another doctor's office that requires appointments, wait times and little, to no, help. read more

My son has been experiencing ear pain so in lieu of scheduling an appointment with his pediatrician, I opted for ZoomCare. We saw Tina Barber, FNP, and she is awesome! She spoke on my son's level and directly to him--which I greatly appreciated. She fully explained how the war works, how to ease the pain and what to do if the pain increases over the next few days. I believe she was treating the whole person and not just his symptoms as she gave us many options over an immediate antibiotic 'bandaid.' We will continue to use the Tanasbourne ZoomCare! read more

I was skeptical and nervous seeing as though I haven't been to a doctor since I moved here from out of state , but Tina was a great person to go see.
