When I say 11th hour we're talking 6:15 p.m. on a Friday night on an escrow that was funded two days before. When I called him he made sure to let me know that he was doing me a 'big favor' because he doesn't normally interact with customers. It was evident that neither he nor his superior understand the legal difference between the terms 'incapacity' and 'incompetence.' The incapacity referred to my 91 year old parents, for whom I had Power of Attorney; the incompetence referred to him and TICOR title. We changed our title company after we had to return the funds to the lender and start all over again and that Escrow closed in less than 48 hours.

Over a sixty-day escrow, he was never in the office once. Not once. So, with no one paying attention to my escrow, the company failed to follow the very clear and simple instructions that the loan originator provided in writing, costing me several hundred dollars in unnecessary costs. My escrow closed over a month ago, and I am still dealing with the mess they created. Use them if you crave no communication, terrible follow-through, rework, have loads of free time to clean up their mess, and enjoy spending money unnecessarily.

Then, VRBO charged the entire amount on my credit card. She should know this since SHE sets the terms for this, according to VRBO. Then 4 months later, she calls me and says "... this is Amanda and I'm a property manager and VRBO has double-booked your reservation, so I'm going to help you find a BETTER house". But Amanda does not want to book thru the VRBO format and she will send me a new rental agreement. The whole thing was sounding fishy. I called VRBO, realizing that this property manager and the VRBO Host are the same person. She was so dishonest with me in her mis-representation. She never sent me the new rental agreement.

During this call, Amanda was extremely unprofessional. She began yelling at me, said she "didn't care," and refused to let me speak to a supervisor or manager, claiming she was the owner and there was no one else to escalate the issue to. I had to repeatedly ask her to stop yelling when I was just trying to explain my side as the customer. Ultimately, I was forced to cancel my reservation because I was not willing to pay an additional $600 for a booking that had already been confirmed. A company should take responsibility for its own website and pricing errors, those costs should not be passed on to the customer. I have never been treated so poorly by a business. This experience was incredibly disappointing and is not how customers should be spoken to or treated.
