Nice campground off main road. The man that runs it is kind of a smarty...... but ok. Only water/elec and dump site. 42.12 include tax for one night hmmmm !!!Kind of spendy for where we r and amenities. You have to be out by 10:00AM. Most parks give you till 11:00 or noon. For every hour you stay over 20.00 The sites r gravel and ours totally level. Pretty tree s, lots of grass and clean restrooms. read more

First, this looks like a very nice place, well kept and clean. The low rating is due to our experience with this park the day before the eclipse. We just wanted a space to park our SUV for one night, and were quoted a price of $200 per night with a two-night minimum. He mentioned that the price had just dropped from $300 per night. We ended up parking at a nice location with grass and a bathroom with hot water for $15 per night, no minimum stay. read more

We stopped at Mt View, as we are Good Sam members. The manager acted miffed we didn't have a reservation, though there were plenty of spots. We drove to the site he assigned to find sprinklers going, one broken, and a pond under the picnic table. We told the manager, he acted annoyed (said "you don't like water?") and turned the sprinklers off. Our two dogs would have been soaked at that site so we asked for another (plenty were empty). He refused and said "you don't want to argue with me!" Despite being there only 10 minutes total, we were uncomfortable with his rudeness & hostility. Asked for a refund, he refused. We left anyway. The KOA in Arco is much quieter, the people were wonderful, and it was even $2 cheaper with a veterans discount. BTW, the KOA will also refund your money within the first hour if you aren't happy with their amenities! read more

I think 1 star is still to generous. Started off that we reserved and paid for 50amp service, but was placed in a 30amp spot. Then when my husband went down to get it cleared up she had charged us more then our cousins who were right next to us. It was determined that she gave our cousins a discount. Since they shouldn't have received that discount they went down to his spot and asked for more money instead of eating it. We picked this spot because we were told they had good BBQ, but that was closed. Then when it was time to check out we were an hour late from checkout. Checkout is 10:00 and not a minute past. The owner made a comment that he really hates it when people hang out after checkout. Mind you, we were unplugging things. I even told the owner that we just needed to dump the tanks and we would be out of here. Just wanted to make sure we were aware that we owed him $20. Then as we were about to pull out he putts his damn golf cart so close to us and reminds us we owe him $20. We will NEVER come back to this place again. read more

Great Little RV Park Great Restaurant!! Owners Went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. Ribs and Shrimp are fantastic as are the LARGE Smoked Baked Potato Be sure to try the Rib Chili and the good selection of Wines and locally brewed beers. This RV Park was great! It was very clean and well maintained. The great surprise was the restaurant! Instead of cooking, we had a delicious rib dinner with cold beer. You will enjoy yourself more if you are prepared to have a leisurely meal. It's not fast food, but it's worth it. read more

Just left here after a three day stay, the staff were wonderful and helped us park so as to be level, they stopped by to check on us. The bathrooms are very nice. We were told we had to have the ribs and that is so true they were wonderful the smoked baked potato was awesome. We will definitely return. read more

I give this park a one star because of the male owners attitude and smart a@!!@!! Mouth. Our spot,A7, tripped my surge protector instantly over and over just after arrival. The male owner said there is nothing wrong with his parks electricity. He said my electric water heater and inverter was tripping it. I told him the water heater is off and batteries were charged and inverter was off. "No it isn't, it is always on!" He said like I was a newbi or stupid. I argued for twenty minutes. He finally said take a different spot. His wife even told him that they had trouble last night with previous tenants. We had no trouble in new spot. Their web page rages about their great restaurants food. We wouldn't know because its only open Thursday Friday and Saturday. Their web page doesn't say that. It is an older but nice park. The owner is extremely rude. Go to KOA. Much nicer. read more

A great surprise! We stayed here for a night while we were visiting Craters of the Moon. The manager of the campground is a bit of a talker, so make sure you allow 20-30 minutes for check in! He did let us go look at the sites and choose the one we wanted, which was nice. The bathrooms here were the nicest out of ten or so campgrounds we visitors on our road trip. They even had shampoo and lotion if you forgot something. The most important thing is the restaurant. We had the ribs and they were literally falling off the bone. So delicious! I would happily stay here again. read more

If you are ever within 200-300 miles of Arco, Idaho and looking for an RV camping space, make the drive to Mountain View RV Park. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with this park, then you should just stay home. We have been on the road 30 years and this is not our first rodeo and we are going back to Mountain View RV Park as soon as the opportunity arises. read more

Very nice. Quiet even though it's next the road. The best part of the stay was the wifi. No problems keeping a connection .

We are cycling across the US and stopped at this RV park for the night after a long day in the saddle. The guy running the park was surly and was misleading about the services. Further, the signs said "Free WiFi" and so does the website but he wanted to charge is $5, after already over-charging us for a site. And it's not like we were taking a place from an RV; the park was less than half full. If you are on bikes, AVOID this place! read more

In a town with seemingly little to offer, this is a diamond in the rough. We were a group of 9, one American family and one French family, and each of us found a happy place amongst the few meals on the menu. The ribs were excellent, as was the smoked baked potato-something none of us has ever tried before. Out of all of us, we had chicken strips, sautéed shrimp, the ground round, fan shrimp, fish and chips, and ribs. Everything was tasty, well-prepared, and completely satisfying. The huckleberry cheesecake was a great way to finish the meal. Definitely recommend if you are driving through town for a quick bite to eat. Also, it's one of the only places in town open on a Sunday night! read more

Ron, the owner, is very personable. The park is old, BUT, under a nice renovation program. I give 5 stars based on friendliness , work in progress & potential. The little cafe kitchen , in the park, was closed, but I hear the food is great. It was nice enough that we stayed an extra day. read more

Mountain View RV Park - Our site, clean, neat & quiet - RV Parks Near Me - Arco, Idaho

We had a very yummy dinner at the Restaurant/Cafe! We visited Craters of the Moon National Park and after hiking 10 miles seeing all the sites and caves, we were ready for a good dinner, we were not disappointed! The ribs were falling off the bone! Chicken Tenders were hand breaded with a great flavor and the smoked baked potato was scrumptious! My son loved the homemade rolls (we did too!). We even had dessert...Lemon cupcake with buttercream icing and homemade Huckleberry ice cream from a local dairy. Would go back again...and probably will later this summer! read more

Rudest service ever. We booked this park because they advertise free Wi-Fi but when I asked for the password I was refused because I "had children". (No children were present at check in). I informed owner I wanted password for myself since I was on a working vacation and one of the reasons we booked the park was because it was advertised as having free Wi-Fi. The owner responded "That's not my problem". I would not recommend this place to anyone.... read more

was the first day of a 2 week road trip and we called whilst on the road to make a reservation as I had forgot to do it on line that morning. I s/w a man named Ron and indicated this, and secured the reservation. We arrived less than 2 hours later and when I checked in he advised me a higher quote. Granted, it was only a few dollars, but it was the principle. He said that the price increase was to cover his new charge card machine!!!!! OMG!!! He also stated that the prices had increased a couple months ago and he didn't change them online! When I told him we talked about the online price he outright LIED and said he quoted me the cost. . .FALSE. He was belligerent and rude and began to get quite HOSTILE. I was very uncomfortable and told him to cancel the reservation. He then phoned us on our cell about 45 minutes later and said he was going to charge us (which he did but we won our credit card dispute!) he ranted and raved to the point I had to disconnect the call as he was raging like a maniac! Pretty scary stuff, I would NEVER recommend this place. Do yourself a favor and go to the KOA. For a few $$ more, they offer a pool, evening ice cream social and waffle breakfasts, AND better reviews. Lesson learned, sometimes it does not pay to try to save a few dollars. read more
