Well she put the window back up she assisted me it took all of 20 minutes to get it taken care of, and she was off to lunch, I don't think she appreciated the fact that I stopped her from going to her lunch but I did apologize after all there was a lot of us there and I'm sure a lot of us were hungry and ready to go to lunch as well. I moved to Colorado months ago, and despite reaching out multiple times and even going to this office in person. I received absolutely no help or clear guidance. They failed to update my information correctly and didn't even list that I am currently unemployed, even though I explained that I had worked in another state and have not been paid since. I only received a single one-time payment from them, and every attempt to get clarification or assistance has been ignored or brushed off. The guy said I had a mental impairment even though I have a disability that doesn't affect me mentally. It really made me mad. It's been a frustrating and stressful experience, especially when you rely on Social Security to provide accurate information and support during major life changes. I truly expected better communication and basic competence. At this point, I feel completely let down and unheard. I truly recommend not going to this office. Nobody seems to know how to do their job....

They are currently painted red and white, and I would like to see designated rainbow painted fire hydrants for dogs with gender identity issues. I called Mike Butler, head of Longmont Public Safety, to inquire if Longmont fire hydrants were transgender, as my dog doesn't like to squat when she pees, she likes to lift her leg. I needed to know that she is free to pee at the fire hydrant of her choice without fear of discrimination, but Mr. Michael wasn't helpful at all. He said that as far as he knew, Longmont TREES were transgender, so what was the problem? This was blatant discrimination. Mr. Michael didn't give a rip about equal rights for dogs to use the fire hydrant of their choice, regardless of gender identity.

Had a surprisingly expeditious experience here…read more Going to the DMV is never fun and with the new Real ID requirements, we're going to find ourselves there more often. Tip: Make an appointment at least 2 months before your Drivers License expires! You will need to do your renewal in person to get a new photo (required for the new "Real ID"). Tip: Park on the West side of the Department of Revenue Building. That is where the DMV entrance is. I walked in just before my appointment time, gave the person at the check in counter my name, got a number and walked into the DMV to wait. There were only a handful of people waiting and plenty of seating. The building is pretty run down and if you are concerned about cleanliness, you may want to stand or BYO wipes for the plastic chairs. To my surprise, as soon as I walked in, my number was called along with the kiosk to report to. That was great. I didn't even have time to sit down. When you make your appointment online, there is a form with all kinds of information they want you to bring with you to confirm your identity and address (like a paystub, utility bill, etc.). It turns out, they don't actually need any of that if your DL hasn't expired yet and your address has not changed. They confirmed my information and sent me to get my photo taken. I only had to wait for one person ahead of me to get their photo taken. DMV photos are never flattering, but at least I got through it quickly. Unfortunately, at that point, they punch a hole in your ID and hand it back to you with a piece of paper saying your ID is not valid without the paper and that your new ID won't be mailed to you for ~30 days. I do not understand why they cannot print them onsite. So, this will be a PITA for the next month while I wait. However, within a couple of hours, my digital ID on the MyColorado App updated with the new expiration date. So, at least I can use that here in CO.

Finally after calling multiple times over multiple days it finally goes through, now you are on hold for 45 min. Ultimately being told they had an oops, my choices are making another appointment, which is a month out, and do the whole thing all over again OR try to renew online and pay the fee again. Utterly ridiculous. I am literally paying for their utter incompetence.

To date, we have toured seven different state capitol buildings around the country and have taken a tour in each of them. I would rank this tour very highly. There are a fair number of stairs and walking on the tour so if stairs, walking, or the elevation is a concern, use the elevator during your visit or on the tour. The building is worth visiting to see the marble alone. It is everywhere and it is gorgeous. One of the highlights of the tour was going to the top of the building. There are many, many stairs to take (90? 99? I cannot recall) to get there so keep that in mind. But if you reach the top, you will be rewarded with amazing 360 degree views in all directions. Well worth a visit!
