The owner and professional Brad Westfall is very friendly and knows his stuff! He is multiple winner of the West Virginia Open and won many prestigious tournaments outside of home state WV. The entire Westfall family are magnificent. Jody Westfall (Wife of Brad) is an absolute saint. She is very kind and always has a positive and upbeat attitude. They have two daughters named Sidney and Jenna who are absolutely the cutest pair of girls on the planet. I would have loved to seen those two take after their father on golf links. In conclusion, Tygart Lake Golf Course is top 3 of my favorite golf courses to play. I recommend this course to anyone looking to play a round and enjoy the hills of WV.

We pivoted and rode the lift to the top. It was a beautiful ride, we saw some animals and lots of interesting plants. Once at the top we hiked around a bit and watched some people do the white water rafting. It wound up being an ok time for my family and I despite the coaster being down.

Too many 6 & even 8 person groups. The course is always backed up and the slow pace of play makes it impossible to get loosened up. You shouldn't have to wait 20-30 per hole. Golfed here twice this year vs our normal 2-3 times a week. Last year was the same. All locals I know that normally play here have also been unhappy. Doesn't matter how many people are there they'll keep taking your money and let you go to just sit. No rain checks. My husband went to play today as a solo. Played 3 holes in the matter of over an hour and left even though he paid for 9. It's no longer enjoyable when you have to sit for so long. Reorganizing how the place is operated is a MUST now that they seem to be busier. Sad bc I've always loved The Summit. I will miss it but we have been and will continue making other local courses our go to.

We had 5 people, playing 3 and 2 and were rudely threatened that if we played a 5 we would be kicked off the course (we hadn't even asked), we never saw anyone in front of or behind us, until the 17th hole. We could have easily played a five-some and had no issues. I would expect a hell of a lot more for $158!
