Like playing in a cow pasture! Tee boxes were like concrete. White clover everywhere!

Not worth the money to play . For same price you can play better courses. Greens not that great. Should only be a 30$ course

Nice course. Greens were in good shape. Not a long course. The par 3's were fun. I'd go back.

This is my first visit in over a decade and the first time not during ski season. The hotel was like I remembered. The restaurant and bar are different than my last visit. Sadly, I can't report on those because they close at 8pm. Even on Friday & Saturday nights. Wisp needs to change that for weary travelers who want a beverage after a long drive. They did do an excellent job handling our group and catering our lunch. The group dinner was given good marks by my colleagues. I want to return to play the two golf courses and ride the alpine coaster.

Upon arrival, I noticed how run down things seemed. The parking lot was in bad shape and there were piles of stuff just hanging out behind different buildings. I couldn't tell if they were renovating or what but definitely not how I envision a "resort". I was not shocked to find that the mountain coaster was out of order. Went with the vibes I was getting. We pivoted and rode the lift to the top. It was a beautiful ride, we saw some animals and lots of interesting plants. Once at the top we hiked around a bit and watched some people do the white water rafting. It wound up being an ok time for my family and I despite the coaster being down.

Historic course or not this place is rough but with many good points. The views get a solid 5 but…read moreit goes down from there. It's immediately obvious this course is not maintained well. A few holes seemed to have a little updating like new signs or asphalt but then the trash can looked like a burn barrel. Lay out was fun/interesting , t boxes fair. You can tell that are working on the greens. Some areas nicely groomed some left to seed. Fairways are awful and not well defined. Carts were in poor condition and dirty. However this is a hilly course and I bet the carts take a beating. Between the rough skinny paths and condition of the carts there might be some safety issues there. Price was fairly reasonable. I would love to play this course when it's in better shape

Too many 6 & even 8 person groups. The course is always backed up and the slow pace of play makes it impossible to get loosened up. You shouldn't have to wait 20-30 per hole. Golfed here twice this year vs our normal 2-3 times a week. Last year was the same. All locals I know that normally play here have also been unhappy. Doesn't matter how many people are there they'll keep taking your money and let you go to just sit. No rain checks. My husband went to play today as a solo. Played 3 holes in the matter of over an hour and left even though he paid for 9. It's no longer enjoyable when you have to sit for so long. Reorganizing how the place is operated is a MUST now that they seem to be busier. Sad bc I've always loved The Summit. I will miss it but we have been and will continue making other local courses our go to.

Never played the course before. Was in the area on a vacation. I was able to get a decent deal on…read moreGolf now. Regular price of $80 seems a bit steep for this place but I understand that you're in a sort of "resort" town so... Most of the courses around here are actually rather expensive. In fact, this might even be the cheapest one! The layout is certainly unique. The idea of having six part 5s and six part 3s and six part 4s might sound somewhat interesting but... In the end, I kind of found it annoying. (Call me a purist, I guess?) By far, the worst thing is the pace of play. We had a couple groups ahead of us on the front nine that were ridiculously slow. The starter kept sending out twosomes and it just back things up. Two groups behind me actually quit before getting to number nine... One of them quit on whole number five. It was better on the back nine when the groups in front of us quit. The starter didn't seem to really know what he was doing. And there were no Rangers. I understand that rangers can be annoying... But an almost three hour 9 is ridiculous. Another thing that's really worth noting... The hills are somewhat significant, and the carts are legitimately not great with their brakes. Like... Seriously not good. And somewhat surprisingly the management seems to be aware of this. They even gave me a heads up. What's even weirder, is that the newer carts actually seem to be WORSE! Coming down the cartpath after green on hole #five, the pro actually warned me to be careful.... And I honestly was trying to be incredibly careful! And I STILL almost flipped the cart! The brakes just give out! It's like you have to pump them or something... But it wasn't just there... Anytime you were going down a hill on the course, there was no guarantee your car could stop. That's insanity! So the course was in good enough shape... And the greens were actually in really surprisingly good shape for the most part... ((though the greens on the back nine are surprisingly small)) ... my biggest problem was the golf carts... Just straight up unsafe. ((Legitimately... If you're healthy enough to walk the course... Do yourself a huge favor and walk it. It's much safer!))
