The nostalgia has worn off. I've been coming here with my grandparents for at least 25 years if not more. I haven't been there since 2019. This place is run down and that is an understatement. Nothing is being maintained besides maybe the lawn. They slapped a fresh coat of paint on and didn't bother to tape anything off or even pull the light fixtures down rather they painted around and over them. It's beyond filthy. The wooden decks look like they are about to rot out and collapse. The pool is absolutely DISGUSTING!!! It was cloudy all week and today, 7/19, was shut down by the health department. This is TOTALLY preventable and a failure to do so by the employees. God only knows what we were swimming in. The employees, specifically April, are just rude and unfriendly. She had her mom and kids and everyone at the pool. They aren't even staying here. Guess it's a free for all and a daycare. It seems like all the employees do is sit on the porch of the "pool house" and smoke cigarettes. You have to walk by them smoking to get to the clubhouse and pool. It's revolting. It makes me so incredibly angry and sad to see what happened to this once nice place. You can complain or ask for something to be fixed and it goes on deaf ears. The pictures I posted from 10 years ago are too kind to the current condition of this "resort"

What a beautiful course! The staff are really helpful and easy to work with. Cassidy, the supervisor was knowledgeable and great to work with. I traveled from Ohio and wanted to play while I was out of town. Setting up a tee time over the phone was simple and easy. Even though I arrived a few minutes late they were chill and let me get out right away. I even forgot a jacket a cigar clip holder and they went to look for each on my behalf.

I booked a week here through Interval international; my home resort is in Florida. This place is a joke! If you have the misfortune of having booked a week here, be prepared. Purchase your own, toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing liquid; the dishwasher doesn't work. They only supply one roll for each bathroom, and two ounces of dish soap, one roll of paper towels. This is a budget inn type of resort. I called the front desk to see if I could get an extra blanket, there being only one available in the closet, for three beds. Evidently the timeshare employees check out at 5, or so.. I am out of luck. Oh, but Emily who seems to be the only employee, said I can get one tomorrow; how thoughtful. This evening we thought we would play some games in the the clubhouse, but we were informed by some other guests that the change machine has been out all week, so we headed back to our unit. The vents for the air conditioner up stairs have fur growing on them! Don't expect to keep cool while sleeping at night. The grounds are pretty, the small pool by the clubhouse, is well maintained, and warm. To think I deposited my lovely resort for this place! Continued Please read this review; do not book a week at this resort!!!!!!! I am a member of Interval World, have been for 35 years. unfortunately the months of June and July were slim picking, when it came to finding a resort that wasn't more than a days travel from home This resort is poorly run, the employees have a faux friendly veneer, that is saccharine sweet, with a bitter undertone. If you have the misfortune of already booked a week here, be prepared. The resort only supplies the units with, 3 rolls of toilet paper, ( one for each bathroom), one roll of paper towel, 2 ounces of dish soap, dishwasher was broken, and two room keys, so your guests like mine, there are three of us are S.O.L. if you plan to do separate activities! The icing on the cake was last night, June 19, 2021, when I was abruptly awakened at 1:30 am by two, or three men in the unit next to mine loudly discussing foot ball. I had my window open because the air conditioner doesn't cool down the master bedroom. The vent is covered with crud. I then closed the window to block the sound. I will also like to mention that I use ear plugs that are excellent at blocking mist noises, didn't help. I called the front desk and asked to speak with security, Belle the desk clerk didn't even bother to ask what was wrong, put me on hold. Finally, the security guard picked up. I explained to him, what was going on and he said he would be up in a minute, and that he would walk around and see what is going on. Ten minutes goes by the idiots are still talking away. It's now 2:10 and I am fit kill. I call back Belle, and she informs me that the security guard didn't hear anything! I told her no one was walking around the unit, so he clearly didn't even leave his vehicle. She tells me she will have him come out again. Well deputy dog finally comes to the back deck of the assholes who are now getting louder. He shows up with his trusty flashlight, and now he is shooting the you know what with them, showing them how far the beam on his special flashlight can reach. They are chatting like a bunch of good old boy's. I call Belle for the third time, she is absolutely no help. I ask her to call her manager; it's now 2:30 in the morning. She's okay and the she will call me back. Twenty minutes later I call her again. You know what she tells me? I talked with the security guard and he says they weren't loud, and that there isn't a problem that people are allowed to sit outside and talk. I told her that I could hear them in my bathroom with the door shut, and hung up!!!!!! The resort representatives only work 9-5 Monday thru Friday, so if you need anything the hotel wants nothing to do without you after hours !!!!!!!!!! Oh and I discovered this morning that the unit nextdoor are renters, they have a smoker grill on their deck, so they have carte blanche!!!!

The hotel was like I remembered. The restaurant and bar are different than my last visit. Sadly, I can't report on those because they close at 8pm. Even on Friday & Saturday nights. Wisp needs to change that for weary travelers who want a beverage after a long drive. They did do an excellent job handling our group and catering our lunch. The group dinner was given good marks by my colleagues. I want to return to play the two golf courses and ride the alpine coaster.

Upon arrival, I noticed how run down things seemed. The parking lot was in bad shape and there were piles of stuff just hanging out behind different buildings. I couldn't tell if they were renovating or what but definitely not how I envision a "resort". I was not shocked to find that the mountain coaster was out of order. Went with the vibes I was getting. We pivoted and rode the lift to the top. It was a beautiful ride, we saw some animals and lots of interesting plants. Once at the top we hiked around a bit and watched some people do the white water rafting. It wound up being an ok time for my family and I despite the coaster being down.

Historic course or not this place is rough but with many good points. The views get a solid 5 but…read moreit goes down from there. It's immediately obvious this course is not maintained well. A few holes seemed to have a little updating like new signs or asphalt but then the trash can looked like a burn barrel. Lay out was fun/interesting , t boxes fair. You can tell that are working on the greens. Some areas nicely groomed some left to seed. Fairways are awful and not well defined. Carts were in poor condition and dirty. However this is a hilly course and I bet the carts take a beating. Between the rough skinny paths and condition of the carts there might be some safety issues there. Price was fairly reasonable. I would love to play this course when it's in better shape

Too many 6 & even 8 person groups. The course is always backed up and the slow pace of play makes it impossible to get loosened up. You shouldn't have to wait 20-30 per hole. Golfed here twice this year vs our normal 2-3 times a week. Last year was the same. All locals I know that normally play here have also been unhappy. Doesn't matter how many people are there they'll keep taking your money and let you go to just sit. No rain checks. My husband went to play today as a solo. Played 3 holes in the matter of over an hour and left even though he paid for 9. It's no longer enjoyable when you have to sit for so long. Reorganizing how the place is operated is a MUST now that they seem to be busier. Sad bc I've always loved The Summit. I will miss it but we have been and will continue making other local courses our go to.

Never played the course before. Was in the area on a vacation. I was able to get a decent deal on…read moreGolf now. Regular price of $80 seems a bit steep for this place but I understand that you're in a sort of "resort" town so... Most of the courses around here are actually rather expensive. In fact, this might even be the cheapest one! The layout is certainly unique. The idea of having six part 5s and six part 3s and six part 4s might sound somewhat interesting but... In the end, I kind of found it annoying. (Call me a purist, I guess?) By far, the worst thing is the pace of play. We had a couple groups ahead of us on the front nine that were ridiculously slow. The starter kept sending out twosomes and it just back things up. Two groups behind me actually quit before getting to number nine... One of them quit on whole number five. It was better on the back nine when the groups in front of us quit. The starter didn't seem to really know what he was doing. And there were no Rangers. I understand that rangers can be annoying... But an almost three hour 9 is ridiculous. Another thing that's really worth noting... The hills are somewhat significant, and the carts are legitimately not great with their brakes. Like... Seriously not good. And somewhat surprisingly the management seems to be aware of this. They even gave me a heads up. What's even weirder, is that the newer carts actually seem to be WORSE! Coming down the cartpath after green on hole #five, the pro actually warned me to be careful.... And I honestly was trying to be incredibly careful! And I STILL almost flipped the cart! The brakes just give out! It's like you have to pump them or something... But it wasn't just there... Anytime you were going down a hill on the course, there was no guarantee your car could stop. That's insanity! So the course was in good enough shape... And the greens were actually in really surprisingly good shape for the most part... ((though the greens on the back nine are surprisingly small)) ... my biggest problem was the golf carts... Just straight up unsafe. ((Legitimately... If you're healthy enough to walk the course... Do yourself a huge favor and walk it. It's much safer!))
