President Astrid Tuminez appears disconnected from the student body and has demonstrated some genuine care, but not really that much. The university should take accountability for how it treats students and ensure that everyone's constitutional rights are respected on campus. Don't waste your money by going here. I feel ashamed for every recommending this school to anyone. It's a scam because it's not a fun experience to go here, unless you want a police and corrupt politician nanny school and want to waste your time and money. There's many other low cost options out there. Please, learn from my mistake!!!!! Especially if you're a straight person and not LGBTQ. I understand they need to practice to learn & everything- which I would be fine with if the expectation was set that we would actually have ZERO cleaning & if it were free- but we paid to be tortured for several hours & I received ZERO actual cleaning & he only got a small amount done on only one row of teeth & his was super painful with the machine & mine was because the only thing I got was her digging at my gums with a sharp tool the ENTIRE TIME- that's it!!! I was so shocked after that I didn't even have the capacity to discuss it at the time & that was such a huge waste of $ for seriously being tortured & getting no actual cleaning. 3 weeks later my gums still hurt. We will obviously never go back & I'm so beyond disappointed- just spend the $ on a cleaning at an actual dentist. They knew full well before hand we were moving & not able to go back for a second appointment (not that we even would after that!) so we needed to get done some sort of actual benefit that we paid for in that visit & I cannot believe how much we paid for only a painful & terrible experience. As this is a school, you are being treated by a student dental hygienist. But not to worry, there are instructors that oversee the students and make sure they're doing their job the correct way. I mean, come on. A typical dentist visit with all the above service is usually cost well over $200, especially if you don't have insurance. For $10 how could you go wrong? For you single guys, almost every single woman in there cleaning your teeth is under 25, beautiful, and smart. They are all very courteous and polite, and are very gentle on your teeth. After leaving here my mouth felt beyond clean and I look forward to my next appointment. The office is laid out a little different than you are used, to there are almost 40-50 dental chairs and a single room. However, don't let this deter you. You still get a sense of privacy and personal care. Overall, I had a great experience here. It is well worth the money you save over going to a general dentist. You are still receiving an exam from a real dentist at the end of this appointment. if it has been a while since you've had your grill checked out, call the Utah college of dental hygiene and schedule an appointment today.

Michael Shomaker, kept us informed about even minor concerns. Their genuine care was obvious. When the first therapist wasn't the right fit, Telos handled it professionally--simply wanting to match our son with someone who could reach him. One of the founders, Tony Mosier, stepped in. The environment felt safe and open. Staff greeted students by name, high‑fiving in the hall--they clearly know the students well. Campus is clean and felt more like a small college than a treatment center. Our son proudly introduced us to one of his faves, Ms. Loza -- who treated him like her own. He also spoke highly of Hayley Bohr and his life coach, Phillip Sewart. Family days were full of hope, especially hearing staff share their own stories--many had struggled as teens themselves and chose this work because they want to help kids like ours. If I have one regret, it's not finding Telos sooner. At Telos my son was safe--not just physically but emotionally - held by people who genuinely cared. He didn't want to be there--what teenager does--but deep down, he knew it was good for him. He built relationships, better understood his challenges, and began shifting his rigid thinking. Even in the tearful goodbyes at the end of visits, I had complete confidence I was leaving him in a good place with good people. Our journey isn't over, but we're in a very different place now.
