If you are looking for a quality education and have a desire in becoming an esthetician DO NOT choose this school, it is a JOKE. I have been through the ringer with these people. Let me start off by saying the two owners DO NOT care about the education of their students, they are very greedy and very money hungry, they will tell you anything to get you locked into contract with them. They also can't seem to keep an instructor for more than a few months, I have had 8 different instructors in the past year, a few of them left all together because the owners knowingly hired a registered sex offender to take pictures of the girls for a student photo shoot, it was kept secret from students and employees until the director of the school researched the photographer and his company and let everyone know. My last instructor, while doing an eyelash tint, grabbed a used tissue out of the garbage can, put callus remover on it, and used it on a client's eyes. Nothing was done about this. I am DISGUSTED with how this school is ran. I've had to turn clients away or send them elsewhere because most of the time the school doesn't have the proper product or supplies to do treatments. I've spent the last half of the year sitting around doing nothing or trying to teach myself because our instructor never opened the book to teach us anything and at last minute would make all of our tests open book. Students complained to the owners and once again nothing was done to fix the issue. Students at this school get away with cheating, there is no monitoring when taking tests, I've seen girls googling the answers or taking their tests home then bringing them back the next day, maybe that explains the 100% passing rate? They will NOT prepare you for state boards, I have personally asked for state board reviews, study guides, or anything to help me prepare for the test and they told me to google it. The state board practical kit wasn't set up properly, supplies were missing, things weren't labeled properly, and were overall a mess. I went over the state practical testing by myself, and taught myself just enough to barely pass. The motto for this school is "where beauty, confidence and professionals are created." Take that with a grain of salt. If you don't care to take education seriously and want to waste your time and money then this school is perfect for you. read more

This school is the biggest joke. It's straight drama and extremely corrupt. They lie to you about how much tuition is to get you to sign up, and then you're stuck with a contract that costs tons of money to get out of. They make you sign a contract and then they constantly change it and you have to abide by it even though they don't tell you when they change it because that's part of the contract. Then they charge you money if you don't know a rule that has been added that you didn't sign to and you don't abide by it. They are constantly making you pay more and more money. A suspension costs you 100$ and they suspend you for ridiculous things. I didn't call in before 9 A.M. Because I was extremely sick and I was a new student and I didn't know I had to call in. It was only class that I was missing and they suspended me. I had no money to pay the 100$ to come back to school so I had to sell things at my house to come back. They also fired an employee because she wasn't signing as many people up as the last employee was, because she wasn't lying to the potential students about how much tuition actually was. Everything is way over priced and all they care about is taking the students and clients money. They don't tell you they just charge you. No leeway. They charged a client 10$ to put a braid in her hair when she didn't know she would be charged. She even said she would take it out because she didn't want to pay 10$ for a BRAID. They would not let her take it out, and they made her pay. DO NOT come to this school. It is so corrupt and seems great at first but you WILL regret it. They have reviews on their website but the girls are required to write those and they are punished if they are negative or they don't do it. All of the girls would agree with this but they are too scared to actually say it because we would definitely get suspended. read more

Was super excited for my facial today but ended up sorely disappointed. The overall facial was fine however the professionalism was highly lacking. I was put in their classroom where students keep coming in and out, no music was playing and it was very bright and uncomfortable. I also could hear people talking and laughing throughout the service. After my service I went up front to pay and asked why an educator never came in to check on the service and I was told that they trust their students. I feel that this is a school and an educator should always come and check as there is always room for improvement and to make sure the client is happy and comfortable. i am a now graduated student from mandalyn academy. it was the best experience of my life. i truly found a second home in this school! so much i will continue my learning on the aesthetics side. i had great training and pasted state board before my graduation date. the girls here are so nice i love therm all!!!! as theory goes we have class in the morning and hands on the rest of the day. i loved not having to sit in class to long lol. i never felt like i learned alone my teachers were there throw everything and i couldn't thank them enough. read more

I started my schooling at Mandalyn Academy a couple months ago and so far I have loved it! All of the instructors are amazing and really give me the one-on-one attention I need. Great school with dedicated teachers and sweet, welcoming students. Unlike other schools Mandalyn academy has smaller class sizes. This allows for lots of one on one time with teachers to get help. These ladies are so knowledgeable and passionate. Great experience. read more
