I got worked on maybe half of it but still charged the full 450 plus tip. He says one more session just two hours. Again I got maybe half the time and still charged the 300 plus tip. So then he tells me one more session. Two hours should do it. He lost the stencil so my stomach tattoo is two different sizes and shapes. I look funny. And yet again I got maybe an hour out of the two hour 300 dollar session. Well then as he's cutting it half hour short tells me I have to come back for a fourth time. Well I was moving in a week so said hell no I'll just be pissed and disappointed pay and get it fixed where I am now. Completely rips you off unless your willing to succumb to his sexual advances which I was not. Sexually Harassed the whole three sessions. Glad I moved away and never have to see him or get work done sloppily again by him. He lied about selling me a camper. I think he's a shady POS. Do not recommend.

I've had about sixty hours of work done at Pygmalion's Tattoo by Jeremy over the years. Though he's very adept in a variety of artistic styles, I am particularly fond of his tattoos that are in a vintage comicbook style, which draws from his vast body of superhero knowledge and media resources. Most of the ink he's laid into me is in this style, and it draws admiring looks and compliments all the time. I am nowhere near good at drawing, and there have been several occasions when I've come into the shop with a very badly-rendered idea and Jeremy takes it away for an hour and comes back with something gorgeous that he's drawn up. Jeremy will always tell me the truth about how to get the best results, regarding size, placement, colors, and composition of whatever tattoo idea I've conceived of. He's saved me a lot of unfortunate ideas over the years! The shop is immaculate, with a lot of fun things to look at, and there's always good music playing and a comfortable waiting area. Another plus is that Jeremy is very thorough with his aftercare instructions. The shop is up a flight of stairs, directly over the best pizza place in Greenfield. Jeremy is a talented tattoo artist and is very pleasant to work with. You do not have to be like Chuck Norris and eat pain for breakfast; Jeremy understands that the tattooing process is a labor of love for both the artist and recipient. He takes his time, and he is a perfectionist, which are two qualities I appreciate regarding something that I will wear embedded in my flesh for life. I was here first in March of 2015 with a family member who had a piercing done. The experience was fine. Not great but not bad. The piercing turned out as it should have. No real complaints there. Flash forward to today when my nose ring fell out at work. I went to Body Language hoping to pick up a new one and be on my way. The man who helped me (and was also the same piercer I encountered last year) took me to find a new nose stud. I told him I had a very small gauge hoop before. We pick one out and without warning me beforehand just starts to shove it into my nose. Seeing as this stud was a larger gauge than I was used to, it was very painful when he tried to insert it. (By the way I didn't even want any help putting it in, I just wanted a damn nose ring.) I kindly let him know "it doesn't usually hurt like this, it goes in pretty easily". He tells me that that's the smallest gauge they have. So I say thank you for your time and help, I'll just have to look somewhere else. No biggie. Was expecting him to say "okay sorry we couldn't be of more help" or "we can order a better size for you". Nope...He then proceeded to throw the nose ring behind him like a child and shoo me out. It was completely uncalled for. I sincerely hope that his people skills improve. If he treats customers like that I have no idea how this place is still open. For the record, I've only had an encounter with this one man. The other employees could be great. But this experience was so off putting I would never come back.

The studio, owned by Emily and Josh, is a beautifully renovated house on Canal St - spotless, welcoming and thoughtfully run.
