I was recently admitted to the emergency room at Henderson Hospital due to a medical condition via ambulance. Once there I was almost immediately provided a room and a number of tests were performed very quickly thereafter. The medical professionals that took care of me were wonderful. They were caring and I felt I was receiving excellent care. I was in the emergency room longer than I would have liked but I understand that they had to do several different tests hours apart. During and after these tests, the doctor kept me informed on what was going on and what to expect. I thought she provided excellent service as well. Even more impressive was she called me the following day to see how I was doing. If I need hospital care again, I know Henderson Hospital would be my first chose. read more

I had a planned surgery with an excellent surgeon and team, absolutely zero complaints with them. I wake up in recovery crying in pain. The nurse tells me that I will continue to cry until I quit moving. My pain level was 10+, agony. She said that she can give one pain pill, than sat in front of her computer without another word. Now I am taken to my room, still crying in pain. Nurses get me settled in. I noticed that my bed is inflating and deflating and every time it does that, excruciating pain. The nurses come back in an hour for a check, I asked them to please turn the mechanism off that is making the bed do this. So the nurse it pushes some button and leaves. Lo and behold, the bed is still doing this. Another person comes in and I tell them the same thing, they push some buttons and leave, again the bed is still inflating and deflating. This cycle goes on from 3 in the afternoon until 9:30, I ask every person that comes into my room to please fix my bed. At this point I am thinking that they're just sadistic and enjoy seeing patients in pain. I was already in pain from the surgery and then they caused me more for 6 1/2 hours. The nurse in charge that evening said that she would have her manager or supervisor come talk to me, no one ever showed up. They finally replaced the bed. The nurses during the day were also an hour to almost 2 hours late, giving me my pain medication. My pain never went away during the day. I cried non stop from the time I woke up from surgery about noon until 2am, the next day. During the day, I also rang a nurse because I had to go to the bathroom. It took them 45 minutes to come help me. By the time a nurse got to my room and assisted me getting up, I peed all the way to the bathroom. How humiliating! Since the manager or supervisor never came to my room so that I could voice my complaints, Henderson Hospital has given me no choice but to air my grievances here. My experience with the Henderson Hospital ER was extremely frustrating. I was transported to the ER by a Henderson ambulance, despite expressing that I did not want emergency room treatment. Once I arrived, I informed the doctor that I wanted to leave. The doctor allowed me to leave against medical advice, and I received no medical treatment during my brief stay. Despite this, I was later billed for the ER visit. Even more concerning, the bill included charges for an electrocardiogram (EKG/ECG) that was never performed. I now have to spend additional time requesting medical records and disputing a charge for a procedure that did not occur. Patients should not have to fight inaccurate billing charges or pay for services they never received. The entire experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and disappointing. read more

This place is so rudely unprofessional, I had a dr come in (hadn't seen him in the 3 days I stayed) immediately clear me, say I was cleared the day before and laugh at me while I'm trying to hide my tears because I'm in so much pain, I had appendicitis and they were going to discharge me within 2 hours after my surgery? They took me being in pain as a joke like I wasn't asking for Tylenol after they put Morphine in me because it genuinely was not enough for the pain. Then to prescribe me Tylenol that I can get over the counter. Oh and dr. Levy didn't consent before completely lifting up my scrubs when the only incisions I had were on my uterus/stomach. Hey Henderson Hospital! Since you decided to not tell me about the small lump that I had in my breast, and I went to my doctor and he told me that y'all knew that I had a small lump! He ordered a mammogram and biopsies because I came to see him about a huge lump in my breast, and I've see other doctors, and guess what? I've got stage three cancer and its spread to my lymph nodes! The doctor wants to move fast with me, and wants me to have chemotherapy. Extremely racist. Refused to give my husband any exams as he went in for excessive bleeding. They said that his doctor left for the evening and that nobody could give him an exam!!! ER doc wrote a 3 page letter to VA. Whinning about my conduct. I was polite and listened until my daugghter and i got tired of ab angry doctor brow beating a patient. Evdrythibg ge said was caused by his bedside manner. I was in severe pain that notgibg helped. I wanted ro go home because my daughter and i were very uncomfortable lidtening over and over the same thing . No veteran would take that from snyone. He wanted to fight, find reasons that paitent wtong. Bad bed side manner!!!! He would not talk to anyone like that if they werent tied down to bed. He talked to me with anger and trued to make me a fool. I have gone to other doctors since and feel a little better. I was swollen from 2 week of no RA meds plus nerve pain. It was obvious im here for pain, ra control. I was treated like a kid. I had the misfortune of going to Henderson Hospital. We were in Vegas when I had a medical issue and went to the emergency room. The ER was fine, but I was admitted to the hospital for 6 days. I have been in numerous hospitals because of some medical conditions I have. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had. In 6 days they never gave me a hospital gown, and for 6 days, I was in my clothes. They never gave me a shower, bird bath, wipes, wash cloth, tooth sponge, toothbrush, mouthwash, nothing for 6 days. They scheduled surgery for me at 8:30 a.m., around 6:30 a.m. the doctor came in and said the surgery was postponed. NO reason or information. So, I waited. When the medical doctor came in or nurses came in, I would ask, what is happening, why was the surgery postponed and I going to be released, I was told by all of them, you have to talk to the surgeon, that surgeon would be in. I have NOT seen or talked to a surgeon to this day!!!!! I understand they have the Hipaa Laws, but doctors nor nurses call tell you what is going on while you are in the hospital?? They said I had an obstruction, but did it disappear, vanish on its own, or is it still there?? To this day, I do NOT have a clue because NO ONE talked to me before I left the hospital. I was told numerous times that a surgeon would be in to talk to me, but NO SURGEON ever show up to tell me anything regarding my 6-day hospital stay!! I was released round 6 pm, and don't have a clue as to what happened to the obstruction, why surgery was cancelled, why a surgeon never came to talk to me. The nurses can't talk to you, the MD's can't tell you anything, you have to wait for the surgeons that don't show up!!!!! Communication is terrible, which made it a horrible experience for me. One of the worst hospital experiences you can have. They only are able to do one lab a day so we've been here for 4 days now. No one ever discusses the results of the labs they just leave it to find out for yourself. You only see the doctor 1 time a day and never again. I spent over 7 hours in the emergency room with the patient and the staff was observant and helpful with any needs that arose. My husband had to be transported by ambulance by another hospital (to Henderson Hospital) that couldn't preform an emergency surgery. The staff was clueless and the doctors don't speak to their nurses. The doctors here are horrible and could not agree on anything. 3 doctors on my husbands care and every one of them had different orders in the system. The nurses could not move forward with anything for 4 days. They finally released him without doing the surgery and sent him back to the original hospital that he was sent from. ZERO STARS!! Emergency Rooms is known to get two types of customers: the dissatisfied ones and the satisfied ones. Well I'm sure many will not agree with excellent care I received at Henderson Health Hospital because the staff here are very knowledgeable, patient and professional. The care provided is top notch and the staff explained the situation very clearly. They were very busy and had a lot of sick people. The triage nurse was amazing, the attending nurse was super helpful and the ER Doctor was a great person. I was expecting to be in the ER for hours (which I was) but I set aside that thinking and focused on the service and quality (which were excellent). The quality and type of care are, at best, I have to rate as poor. My mother presented in the ER, with a large Melanoma on the side of her head. Rather than getting a dermatologist, they x rayed, and did an MRI, when they figured out it didn't go to her brain, they immediately discharged her, unable to walk, they tried to load her into a Lyft until she almost had a heart attack. This some of the worst decision making I have seen in a hospital in my 63 years on Earth. I had to come in at 10:30 at night to receive her as they remitted her due to her high heart rate, over 180 bpm, as soon as she calmed down, they dumped her in my car and told me I am on my own. My friend was literally dying from alcohol detox and the doctor told him to keep drinking. Said if he had 7 drinks, then drink 5. Basically turning my friend away because be didn't trust that my friend won't drink again and said to go out and drink some more. Aside from having to pay $253.30 for ZERO wound treatment on 1/31/2026, the ER referral to their Wound Care Clinic was WORTHLESS. A PA named Jessie in the ER was very cordial but unable to obtain an Ultrasound Report from SDMI or find ANYONE on duty in the entire hospital who could properly examine and treat a Cellulitis wound. Henderson Hospital Wound Care Clinic was even worse! On 2/3/2026 Dr. Roy Marie Amoroso Margallo failed to properly examine the wound, despite having my ultrasound report in his hand. Then after you pay your bill in full, you'll receive a bill from another company claiming you owe them for the docfor who spoke to you for one minute. My father was admitted due to an irregular heartbeat, and the doctors ordered my father have a stress test. It was later determined he had one done 2 years ago, so then requested he have a CT Coranary Test done. He sat in the hall way for one day, half a day in a cubicle, then by the second day, they decided to cancel the test all together. Mind you, my father is diabetic and was not able to eat for almost a whole day. This hospital showed no urgency to care and expedite someone who was dealing with fluid around his heart. The doctor would later say my father may need a pacemaker, but no test to determine this was conducted. I dont understand how people can admit someone into the hospital, and yet have them sit there for two days without concluding anything. Hospitals need to do better! read more

Took more money than they should have despite me telling them I had met my out of pocket max. This was in April. It's October and 7 phone calls later I still don't have my refund. Every time I call (it's some call center and none of them have any clue) I am told it's still processing and it will be another two weeks, or it's been escalated to a supervisor and they'll call you (they never do), or please hold! I had a surgery here back in 2018. No major issues. Semi smooth process however they are a lot stricter than most hospitals. I didn't like some of the things they had planned to do that I told them no to, yet they did it anyways. It's different than any other hospital and I have been to a lot! Some of the things they wanted to do were not standard at other hospitals and I wasn't happy about it. Some nurses were nice and some were not as kind. I have mixed feelings. Terrible experience... Whoever withdrew blood from me seemed to not know what was going on. Never have I felt such pain while getting my blood withdrawn. When she started she couldn't hit the vein which is normal but than manage to get some. She proceeded on saying she was going to withdraw from another spot and took out the needle and used the same needle to try again in another location. Which was the same result. Mexican & seriously just so rude. She sat there & yelled out this woman's diagnosis in front of everyone out here! She was really nasty with eating her food not cleaning her hands while doing vitals. She was eating & chewing with her open open Is this the standard of Henderson hospital? This poor lady asked to get her iv removed & she told her no & to sit back down! Nurses are overworked and do the best they can with a smile. The doctors, for the most part, are friendly and thorough but they also look hurried and overworked. Kelly , one of the PAs is worthless. He likes to be cruel and give a me oral pain medication knowing I have severe nausea, vomiting and severe pain along with an IV push for nausea. I came in with severe pain and nausea with possible stage 4 cancer. If you get Kelly (small man) the PA? Run!! Kelly has done the same thing to me one other visit also. I had to request an IV pain med again this visit too which adds about another 30-60 minutes or more of suffering. Fun times, huh? Been going to this ER for same problem since Christmas on a regular basis. I complained about him the first time it happened. I will DEFINITELY be going somewhere else next time even though I have to double the distance to get help. read more
