You may read reviews, show bad, cause thats what they experienced, while the ones who had good experiences will say, it was great. However, its like that everywhere. But truly. He's a (somewhat) knowledgable doctor but has a massively inflated ego. The first time I went he said that he doesn't want to treat ANYONE that goes to another doctor (including if you're travelling and need a doctor for a few months in another state/country). On the 2nd visit I had with him he said there was a "breakdown in communication" between us because I didn't want him as my primary care doctor and had medical attention from another doctor since the last visit (I dont know why his staff allowed a 2nd apt to happen if he was so against it). At that point the appointment was a waste, so I left. Got a letter in the mail less than a week later saying that he'd never treat me again because there was a "breakdown in communication". Really unneeded, condescending, and holier than thou attitude. If you don't want a patient to come into your office, don't let your staff book them, that simple. If you're looking for a knowledgable doctor that is the only doctor you go to, this is your guy. If you're like the rest of the world and theres a chance you'll visit another doctor, don't waste your time here because he will refuse to treat you and you'll get a rude letter in the mail that you hurt his feelings for visiting other doctors too.

I recently moved out of state and needed my prescription refilled at a nearby location. Instead of just telling me "okay, but make sure you see a Doctor down there asap," she proceeded to treat me like s*** and reluctantly took my information to see if the nurse could help me. The conversation ended with her basically telling me "idk, good luck." I had to call CVS where I live now to find out if my prescription got filled. Luckily they have half a brain to fill me in. They couldn't believe how terribly I was treated at this office. They need some sort of sign off from Dr. Kaup now. They sent a fax to this office and are waiting for an answer. I doubt they'll help, but I foresee a phone call in my future where I get scolded for "wasting their time," or some other BS. I'm pretty upset with the way this situation has been handled, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's unfortunate, because Dr. Kaup was great. I just wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with this bull. Good luck.

I'm very grateful for what they do for people in the hope of recovery with whatever addiction they may have. They don't kick you out at 8:00 a.m. in the morning they wake you up at 8:00 on the weekdays and encourage you to get up and start a daily routine And look for work . You have two classes a week for counseling group and one life skills group a week and then a house meeting once a week. They're all only an hour long. If you can't put 4 hours a week on your recovery then you're not serious about it.

This time they dutifully asked who our primary care physician is which sounds nice for continuity of care. But, wait, no they won't send the info to our doctor. Our doctor has to send them a request and then we would have to sign a release of info. And then I guess they would finally divulge the info at some time in the future. Most places ask who your doctor is and you just request that the info be sent to them and it's done. Not here; continuity of care is not in their vocabulary. This is an unnecessary inconvenience and they need to get with the times! So go for the care but it won't be easy to get the info sent to your primary care dr.
