She cut, cut, cut way too fast, as a professional she should have told me that she was not done. It wasn't for her to do a quick cut, as if she was cutting meat in a meat department!!!!! Whom ever your are! Your a liar........ I was told to come back again in a rush. I was told that the schedule was sooooooooooo full that Mouton's Salon was going to open 1/2 to do what you could do..... Lady, My Hair is Not Open For Experiment. Of course I find your price way too much, because of the poor job you do. Because, your main goal is for a quick buck. Your schedule is so full that the other lady was only able to color the roots of my hair, not even 1/2. You didn't do me any FAVORS. I over paid for it, and guess what? I am not upset about the money, I am upset about MY HAIR THAT IS RUINED!!!!!!!! And, I was not about to give you guy's a second 1/2 min rush to ruin my hair even more. I have been going to Mouton's for years - maybe 10. When we moved out-of-state, other than my family, Mouton's is what I missed most. Happily, I am back and get to go to Mouton's again. Every service is top notched. I have had my hair high-lighted, low-lighted, cut-a-little, cut-a-lot, styled, braided and more. I walk in with drab hair; I walk out with shiny, soft, swinging, beautifully-colored, happy hair. The consideration shown by every person there is uplifting. The client is the focus and it is such fun to be spoiled. The owners do a great job with their stylists and staff and keeping the building beautiful. When you walk up to the building, you notice the gorgeous landscaping and flowers. The owners are obviously very conscientious and when they aren't styling hair I see them helping stylists, including sweeping up hair. The prices are great. I have paid more and received less. Dawnielle and Selena are my stylists; they are talented, personable, and knowledgeable. I encourage them to give me ideas about what I can do with my hair regarding the cut and color, and they always have great suggestions that they carry-out beautifully. This is a one-of-a-kind place. I've been a customer for 4 years but my visit yesterday was very disappointing. The state of Texas and all of the Dallas Ft Worth Metroplex are experiencing the Delta surge. There were ZERO COViD precautions being taken at Moutons. I asked why no one was wearing a mask and the response was "everyone here has already had COViD And masks are too uncomfortable and too hot". There was no acrylic at the check in counter and no sign of updated ventilation. Unvaccinated people who have already had COViD are twice as likely to get it again compared to vaccinated people. COViD is here to stay And all businesses have to evolve and adapt to protect employees and customers. I won't be going back to Moutons. They made their perspective clear And its unacceptable. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with this salon! I'd been referred here from a friend because I wasn't happy with my previous cut or color. I'm usually not quick to change stylists but I took her recommendation. I stopped by without an appointment and asked if there was anyone with time to consult right then and someone who could work me in the upcoming week. The receptionist assessed who could do both - and I was thankful to meet Dawnnelle. She listened to my concerns and made suggestions and tweaks as we went along. Her color method took me half the time of my precious salon and in the end the updated color and the cut was less time and money then I'd been paying for awhile! Win - win all the way around! Overall i didnt have good experience. it was my first time. The stylist assigned to me took 4 hours to do coloring and hair cut. by the end, i had severe headache and just wanted to get away from the entire process. i noticed that she wouldnt get enough color and had to go back to get extra colors. it just didnt happened during covering grey hairs but for highlights as well. since she was running out of the colors, i could see that some places she didnt apply enough and there is uneven color texture in the entire hair. i just wanted to get my hair colored and a simple hair cut. somehow i felt i paid a lot for what i didnt anticipate. probably i was given someone who was not experienced. i hate to say but i may not want to go back. read more

Love the availability of appointments and not feeling shamed if I don't book with same person - also that they have different price range of stylists to choose from. I do see the same person each time now, but have been able to book with whomever is available when in a pinch in the past. Staff is so very friendly and great with reminders even the day of cause I get preoccupied and need to be kept on track!! I have very thick, coarse, wavy hair and have had pixie cuts and currently have past shoulder length hair so have had success no matter the style, and love the Aveda and Kerastase products they use. I'm actually an Aveda girl, but even when they use the other brand, my hair feels so soft and smooth after!! read more

I've been going to Mouton's for about 4 years now. They are the most professional salon I've ever been to. Teresa and Bruce are the owners and they are meticulous about training their staff and knowing and understanding their clients. The stylists will talk with you before your cut, ask what you have liked about your hair, what you didn't like.. see how it falls naturally. They take notes on the cut so they can easily refer back to what was done last time. They take their time to be sure you will be happy, again and again and again. This salon stands out for its professional atmosphere and great stylists. Naomi and her front desk are wonderful ambassadors with their warm greetings. And Helena is a talented stylist with a joyful attitude. I've used some of the other stylists too. They are wonderful. I've been a Mouton's customer for eight years and its so nice to go to a salon and know I'm going to get the best service and leave satisfied. IIn my lifetime ( I am a real senior citizen) I have been to numerous hair salons. I have naturally curly hair, so it takes a very special person to cut it correctly, so I can manage it myself. I have been a client at Mouton's in excess of 7 or 8 years. Jack has been and continues to be my stylist. I have never ever been disappointed by either Jack or any of the staff. I learned a long time ago - do not take a photo of what I want. My hair has a mind of its own, and I don't care how talented or experienced any stylist may be..odds are my hair may not adapt what might be in a photo.
