    Blow out
    Kristin S.

Love my blow out! I booked my appointment day of on the app and had no issues of waiting around once I arrived. Keisha gave me a classic blow dry with a round brush and pinned up rollers. She did a great job and was so nice and friendly, can't wait to book with her again in the future.

This is a Good area, clean place. Fun to come with a group but RSVP. I love getting my hair washed but their stations are so uncomfortable. Suggestion of maybe putting a pillow behind the back to help? My appointment was delayed 25 minutes so sent me out of there WAY later than usual. I felt the stylist was detailed And did great but I really didn't like my braid. The products used are amazing! They smell great and the brush is fantastic! I will stick to just blow outs here and only when I'm not rushed. I asked for green tea, didn't receive it so my stylist took care of me! It's a very friendly staff. Saturday evening rush got me.

    Terribly crimped hair

Terrible blow out. Asked for a simple wash and full blow out. Ended up with my hair still damp and almost crimped looking. Hair stylist was rushed. The most simple ask at a dry bar and it was TERRIBLE

Had my hair done for my 12:30 wedding. Lost some curl before event ended. 9/17/16

Have you priced wedding hair? I have and the most absurd quote I received was more than $500 for hair, makeup and dupatta (Indian veil) setting for just me. Forget that, I can do my own makeup, and for $40 bucks, Drybar can do my hair. I set my appointment for my sister and me for 8:45 AM on 9/17/16. The place was poppin'. We were offered mimosas, champagne, coffee or tea. I'm not a drinker so I opted for tea. I also grabbed multiple biscotti thins at the front desk because I hadn't eaten and didn't have time to eat before my wedding. Because I have lots of thin hair, and my hair was washed the night before, my stylist opted not to wash my hair before styling. I didn't care because I was pressed for time and trusted the stylist. I opted for a side-swept cosmo. My stylist had to ask her management if she should charge me for an updo, based on the number of bobby pins she would use (8) - I would have flipped out because an updo is $80 and I have a barfly membership ($75/ month for 2 blowouts + free birthday blowout.) I was not about to pay an additional $80 so luckily this counted as a regular blowout. My sister got the southern comfort and hated it. She thought her stylist kind of gave up, but I thought her hair looked nice, but much different compared to how she usually wears it, so I'm not holding it against D.B. I made sure to tell the stylist to shellac my hair down. Unfortunately lots of the curl fell out that day, but the teasing lasted until 9/19 - 2.5 days later! I'd be back because I liked my style, but I would also like them to sweep a bit. Lots of hair tumble weeds everywhere!

Pampering and hair therapy awaits you! This Drybar location (super convenient right next to Starbucks and ATT Store) has a super friendly staff, piping hot coffee, clean and cute decor and a fabulous stylist in MARIE -- she's amazing! You can request Marie when you book on the app or if you call! She is quick, friendly and listens to what you want..... and her shampoo with massage is addictive! No matter where you head to after -- a trip, an event, a meeting, a dinner, etc you leave feeling like a million bucks and I can make the blow out last up to 2 weeks -- and no matter what you wear, your hair looks perfect! Use a little dry shampoo and flat iron a bit on your own and this will last you and be an investment in your self confidence and self care! App offers coupons and referral bonuses. You can request your favorite stylist or just walk in. Also, they have wine and champagne and they play fun comEdy movies while you sit in chair and relax. You can add a scalp massage and treatments. They also can help with up do's and have expertise in ethnic hair. You mental and hair therapy at Grapevine Drybar awaits!

I booked a full highlight and arrived at 11:45 for a 12:15 appointment. I sat in the stylist's chair and we spent a solid 20 minutes going over my hair, my expectations, and multiple inspiration photos. I was told the look I wanted was completely achievable. However, the results were uneven, patchy, and visibly over‑processed, with harsh light bands and inconsistent placement clearly visible at the top and sides of my hair. This is not a subtle issue. . . it's a full highlight that looks nothing like what was discussed or shown in my inspiration photos. During the appointment, I voiced concerns about needing more foils, a root smudge or shadow, and some actual color, because I didn't believe using only bleach and toner was appropriate, but I was reassured that everything was on track. When the stylist finished, even she acknowledged the visible striping and said she "needed more time" and "should have done more foils," blaming the front desk for not booking enough time to complete the service properly. That is not the client's responsibility. I requested a refund due to the clear quality issues and the stylist's own admission that the work wasn't done correctly, but the salon refused. I'm now having to pay another professional to correct the uneven, over‑processed areas. It's honestly shocking that a salon would treat clients this way instead of standing behind their work. Save yourself the stress. Stay away from this salon. I'm sharing my experience so others know what happened and what the response was when I asked for a fair resolution. I literally look like Kelly Clarkson's 'Miss Independent' album cover.

Prices are good. Super clean. But what I got wasn't what I wanted/asked for. I even asked if the stylist wanted me to keep the photo out and was told it wasn't necessary. Showed the picture at LEAST 4 times and was told that this is popular cut which put me under the assumption that it was doable. When asked if I liked the cut, I said that I thought it should be shorter. I was shocked when the reply was "Your hairline can only go up so far". Hairline and haircut are two different things. I zipped my lips and just agreed to everything so I could get out of there and get it fixed elsewhere. Now to go somewhere else to get it fixed. I thought it would be necessary to explain what she was unhappy about - First, the breakdown of charges. $338 total: $255 service $45 toner $38 (10%tip and tax) Second, due to a crazy storm in DFW, my third appointment there was cancelled. (Absolutely understandable! We can't control the weather... however, Erika knew my timeline that I was moving to Illinois May 30th - this was 9 days after my original appt on the 21st. She was unable to accommodate me, so naturally, I asked for a refund to use that money towards my new appointment elsewhere. I did not get a penny back.) Based on today, Erika did not want to give me back any of the money because I publicized my honest review. I hope this helps reflect the level of management's feistiness and lack of professionalism at this salon. On the bright side... I 10/10 recommend PureSana salon in Southlake! They were fantastic in hearing out my concerns, treated me with kindness and respect, and were able to produce everything I was hoping for. Shoutout Mikey!!! Truly made up for everything that I missed out on at my experience with Kalon salon.

As a starter salon, it's fairly empty of employees, but she's got a groove and I love entrepreneurs. She knows what she's talking about. I had badly damaged hair from a botched color job 2 years ago and didn't want it all cut off and she sealed my hair with a clear coat of some kind and it saved me from having to lose 10" of my hair! Update, Informed my fault for not staying to have it styled before heading home to shower off cut hair and dress for my interview. Maybe I've been lucky in the past? I rarely stay for a style with any hairdresser and haven't had that issue in the past. So my last and final visit, very disappointing. Short version, do not go for a body wave, "S" waves, beach wave.. whatever you call it - you'll leave with a 70s spiral curly perm instead. Just horrible. Not sure how my request was misunderstood, I was clear - I want nothing any tighter than my natural wave - even took pictures and clarified multiple times to make sure. But alas, I got a curly perm. Is my hair treated? Yes, I have highlights on the top layer and she does a good job with color. However, 70% of my natural, untouched light brown hair - I shit you not - is now copper penny red bc the perm chemicals were on my head for OVER TWO HOURS. Am I a moron for allowing it - YES! I was told that 2 - 3 hours was normal bc it's a Korean perm and takes longer / was less damaging. I complained my head felt warm, smelled funny. She checked it. Said no wave - more time was needed. My bad for not insisting it was washed out. I'm sure if washed out earlier, I would have had the wave I asked for over the curly perm I got. Again, nice lady. Was happy with highlights I had gotten 2x. Prices are reasonable. First cut great, not so happy with last. Do not recommend for permanents.
