I've been meaning to try this studio, especially since it's just so close to my family. I've been…read moredoing hot yoga for about two years, and this was definitely a new experience for me. I'll start with the good: Bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I loved having mints on the way to the studio. I also noticed a water bottle filling station. As for the class itself, I think it's really important to point out a few things: -Your back is turned to the instructor, not towards. I was advised by my instructor to look to my neighbor, since each class is the same flow. I've never experienced this before. -Yeah, it's hot. But there's also hot AC blasting in your face, which not only adds humidity, but also makes the floors super slippery. -Mirrors are along the wall, so you'll definitely see yourself sweaty. -I do want to note that the studio sort of smelled funky before class. (Trying to be honest here.) I did like the flow! And I did lose the most calories I've ever lost in a hot yoga class before! But before I went, I wish I had known these things. I'll give it another try.

For the past six months, either the humidity or heat has been broken and it has been incredibly disappointing that corporate doesn't seem to care. We pay a lot of money for heat and humidity at this location and it makes a HUGE difference in the experience. This is very disappointing and is forcing members , including myself, to look elsewhere for heated yoga.

It seems that they all have their own style of doing massage so may just be a preference thing. I won't tell you my favorite one is, though she knows who she is. They also offer yoga classes, though I have yet to go to one. At the end of the massages they have a tea and a candy waiting for you. I always leaving feeling super relaxed and taken care of!!!

The owner, Jess Taylor has been my Pilates instructor nearly 4 years. After more orthopedic surgeries than I care to post, it is because of her knowledge, experience and caring approach to her clients, that I can do absolutely everything that I love to do in a body that is strong and balanced even with all the new parts. She has taught me how my body is supposed to work mechanically and how to optimize what I do and how I do it to keep it working that way. My daughter and my friends have equally benefited from the good that happens working with Jess. So happy she's in the hood now - can't wait to try out all the fun new classes at the Ground too!!

She was always concerned about both ensuring I was feeling the stretch and working the right muscles - as well as making sure I was doing the regimen safely. Definitely ask for Anna if you want someone to pay attention and bring her best. (It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of their instructors were like this but I had the most contact with Anna).
