How can there only be 1 review on Eat the Frog!? TL;DR - Do it, you will love it…read more Now for the details. Around 5:30AM November 30th 2020, I had a massive pain in my abdomen. By noon I was having an emergency appendectomy for a ruptured appendix. A few days and a hospital stay later, I was home, in pain, could barely use my core at all. I would roll onto my side to push myself up. Months went by and I never really recovered to my pre-surgery self, let alone my pre-covid self. Around May I bought a month at Eat the Frog from a silent auction, it sat on my desk and I stared at it for another 4 months. August 19th, 2021 I call and set an appointment for a first class. The next day, I show up and almost turn around to head on home. I stayed, and did one of the most challenging (mental) exercises of my life. Not because it was difficult, but because I hadn't done anything with my core in 10 months. Coach Lauren helped me modify and got me through the first class, and I was hooked. Approximately, 2 Weeks (and 8 classes later) I went to a virtual workout on a Sunday afternoon. No one was there and one of the projectors was having an issue. Perfect chance to leave, no one would know, and I had an excuse with the projector. I stayed. I did 16 freaking situps that day! 0 to 16 in 2 weeks and 2 days! Fast forward 8 weeks later. I've completed 38 workouts with over 20K additional calories burned above normal life. I'm not setting any world records, but I am setting home records. My daughters love that I will randomly pick them up and carry them around (usually upside down) and always by surprise (Thanks Functional Sandbags!) Up the stairs, down the stairs, and they can hug me without asking if they are squeezing too hard (see appendectomy.) Down one belt size and carry body weight very differently. You activate your core so much in class that it just carries over into everyday life. Summary: Wife: 5 Stars - Much more energy Kids : 5 Stars - Love being carried around Belt: 0 Stars - Annoyed I keep making it smaller Self: 5 Stars - Wish I had started earlier Overall Average: 5 Stars - (Belt's 0 starts counts as an extra 5 for me)

TL;DR: Best boutique gym in Highlands Ranch for value, equipment, pricing and convenience - and…read moreI've tried eight of them. Key benefits of the Frog: - PRICING. Frog charges one flat rate and it's way on the bottom end of pricing for gyms in the area. (Not going to say how much, because I'm sure it will change.) The price includes small group training, and unlimited 24/7 classes either with coaches or virtually. You get a key fob and can go at 2am, if that's your thing. - COACHING. Denise, the head trainer, is freaking fantastic. I was a trainer (CSCS) years ago, so I feel like my opinion here carries weight. The attention to good form and safety is really important to me as I get older, and the modifications to exercises to accommodate different fitness levels is well above par. The expertise of Denise and her staff is evident in every class and every instructor is fun and motivating. - CONVENIENCE: Scheduling is easy on the app, there's always a class available and I can do them whenever I want. - VIBE. One of the things that stands out about the Frog are the members. Friendly coaches beget friendly participants, and everyone at the Frog is supportive and fun. - PROGRAMMING. Classes are always changing so it stays exciting, but what I think matters more is that sessions follow an overall structure. The workout progression allows your body to peak and recover, so you get maximum results. You can also attend certain kinds of classes to tailor your experience to your personal fitness goals whether they be weight loss, conditioning, agility or whatever. - EXTRAS. A few little things that make a big difference: super clean, good system for monitoring heart rate, high-end equipment, they do in-body assessments at no additional charge and their app monitors measures and shows your progress as you get more fit. Bottom line? Try it out. Everyone I have referred to the Frog absolutely -loves- it.

The place was way too crowded, so I joined anytime fitness. And it's probably the best gym I've ever worked out in. They have everything you need and you don't have to wait for any of the equipment. It is spotless clean and the owners are extremely nice and professional.I highly recommend this place

I am highly disappointed with my experience at this gym. Management explicitly asked for feedback,…read morebut when I provided constructive input, they immediately canceled my membership instead of addressing the issues. When we tried to resolve this, the owner, Sage, called me a liar, hung up the phone on us, and completely refused to have a sit-down meeting to discuss the situation. The facilities are poorly maintained. The equipment is consistently dirty and dusty, the Wi-Fi rarely works, and there are only four stretching mats available for the entire gym. I have also noticed bugs on the carpeted areas. The bathrooms are equally neglected. The women's restroom has been out of toilet paper for days at a time and is frequently dirty. To make matters worse, the owners are never present to assist members or manage these ongoing issues. I do not recommend this gym. The ownership handles customer feedback with hostility and fails to maintain basic cleanliness and amenities.

Many times my watch shows a decibel level of 97+ decibels. That is not healthy. The cafe there has a motto that says, "if it's here it's healthy". That is not true with the classes because the music is so loud it will damage your hearing and nobody wants that. And nobody wants the instructor to be yelling constantly. That is not motivating. This happens in more than one class with more than one instructor. Not sure what they are thinking.

I've been going to this gym for years now and seen very little improvement. For over $200 a month…read morethe equipment needs to be improved upon. One smith machine is crazy. There is way too much room dedicated to classes at this gym as well. Good luck trying to get an actual lift in when they have the vast majority of the platforms reserved. Cleanliness gets a 2/10. Stop sending teenagers to clean the gym floor in the middle of the day, it makes it extremely annoying to work out. No one likes breathing in those chemicals, or having a broom basically under their foot mid workout. They should really have an after hours cleaning team come in considering this is a "luxury" gym. I understand the casual cleaning but a midday deep clean should not be done at the detriment of those working out. It's also weird because there is still so much dust all over this place. The men here are much creepier than other locations, I've had multiple of them make weird comments and witnessed them recording women. I've gone to a variety of gym around Colorado, including other Lifetime locations, and haven't seen this behavior as much in those other places. The major saving grace of this gym is that the staff is very friendly. The trainers are approachable and the newer ones are very knowledgeable. All this being said, I do still drop into this gym when I'm in the area but do not enjoy working out here nearly as much as other gyms.
