The other quotes I received in Yelp were outrageous. He kept me updated on the timing the day before and the day of which was wonderful. I work from home, have various meetings I must attend so it really helped. I could also tell my mom what time so she could be ready. When he came, they were very kind, professional, considerate of my home and the furniture. He wrapped it nicely in blankets and wrap to make sure it was protected in the vehicle and from the rain. He even took the feet off both so that nothing happened to them and took them separately. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. If you need to move a home or anything at all, please consider Optimum. You will not find better customer service out there. We will definitely be contacting them again.

However, the movers were an hour late and showed up with an extra person than I was not originally quoted. Which is fine, if it doesn't change my quote, but what I was charged ended up being expodentially higher than what I anticipated based on the quote. Especially since I moved a majority of my items before they arrived. I had most of the items already ready and took apart and put together my bed itself. I even assisted helping move what I had left by loading the smaller items in my car. I moved most of the items before they even arrived so they had really only had the heavy/bigger items that I couldn't take myself. There were also 30 minutes I couldn't even find the movers, even after calling them. I had moved 6 minutes down the road but it took them over 30 minutes to arrive. I had driven back, double checked they got everything, locked everything up, came back to the new place, and still waited another 15 minutes. So they were off somewhere unknown to me. This also lowered my trust in their service. When I asked for an itemized receipt so I could double check how I was being charged, I never heard from them again. If you do decide to use this company, you should know that the quality is excellent because they take care in how your items are moved, their professionalism and communication is great but you may hear them complaining if items are heavy. I think the funniest comment I heard from them was "Everything is heavy Up in this Crib". I would recommend ensuring someone is there the entire time to ensure you track when they leave and when they arrive at the new location and have them itemize the receipt before sending you the bill. A vague receipt won't do to make sure you aren't overcharged.

They assured me they would be fully prepared and that everything would fit in their truck. On moving day, after the truck was nearly full, they told me that several of my belongings--including a solid wood antique dining table and a bookshelf--wouldn't fit. They offered no solution at the time. After delivering the rest of my items in NC, I asked for a discount since they hadn't completed the move. They refused, but then offered to go back and pick up the remaining items, store them, and deliver them when they were next in the area. Over the next several months, I followed up repeatedly. They eventually offered to replace the table instead, but stopped responding when I proposed a reasonable replacement amount. I still have not received the undelivered items or any compensation. This company breached its written contract and has refused to resolve the issue. I've filed a complaint with the FMCSA and am sharing my experience publicly so others can make informed decisions.

I have been a customer of this business two times--once in 2024 and once in 2026. For both services, I contacted the business with a list and photos of my junk, and within hours, the owner Tony texted me a range for an estimate, and he gave me options for appointments that week. Both services were scheduled for the next day around 11 AM. I had all of my junk in my garage, so the employees backed their truck up to my garage doors. For the first service, they spent several minutes moving my junk--shelving units, wooden fence rails, an office chair, a bifold closet door, a few pieces of concrete rebar, a rug, etcetera--to their truck. For the second service, they moved only an L-shaped desk to their truck. For the first service, their final price was on the low end of the estimate range, and I inserted my credit card into their reader. For the second service, their final price was on the high end of the estimate range, and they told me that I would have to either call with my credit-card number or pay with Venmo or another service, so I chose Venmo. The price to remove the L-shaped desk was roughly a couple hundred dollars.

I had clearly explained that I was only moving 10 minutes down the street, and I even asked if we could do two trips once I noticed how my furniture was being handled. Unfortunately, items still ended up damaged because they were being pushed down rather than carefully moved. The movers said they had another move after this and that was why we could not do the two trips. I am a very understanding person when it comes to running late due to traffic but when I pay for a service and then feel as if I need to be rushed to get back on schedule is not okay. At first, Chad (the point of contact) seemed helpful.. he told me he wanted to "make things right" after the movers reported the damages. He asked me to provide invoices for the items (which were brand new, under a year old) and requested my Venmo and address so reimbursement could be arranged. I provided everything promptly. It has now been 3.5 months, and despite multiple follow-ups, I have been completely ghosted. No reimbursement, no resolution, no accountability. Moving is already stressful, and this company unfortunately made it even harder. If you value your belongings and want reliable follow-through, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

A section of our canopy bed was accidentally push through the drywall. They were sorry and assured us they had a professional who would come and repair the wall. The person that showed up was not a dry wall man and consequently the repair was unacceptable. We have made several attempts for them rectify the repair but there has been no further contact from their side. I guess we will have to contract someone ourselves. Worst Move of My Life -- Everything Destroyed I have moved…read moremany times in my life -- across states, even across countries -- and I have never experienced anything as horrible as this company. When my belongings arrived, every single box was crushed. The ones clearly labeled "fragile" were smashed beyond repair. My furniture was treated like garbage -- not a single piece arrived without stains, dents, or serious damage. One item even looked like it had been kicked, with a large gash at the bottom. Wardrobe boxes that I had purchased from U-Haul and carefully packed were destroyed. The driver admitted he was embarrassed to deliver them in that condition, and then tried to act like he was doing me a favor by repacking my clothes -- which he completely ruined. Many of my clothes with sentimental and financial value were dumped into boxes like trash. Some may be saved with expensive dry cleaning, but most are ruined forever. The movers themselves were polite in person, but the way my belongings were handled was beyond negligent -- it was outright careless. The only thing that wasn't destroyed was my Peloton bike, which they clearly knew they'd be liable for. Everything else was fair game. This company shows zero respect for their customers' belongings. If you care about your furniture, clothes, or anything of value, stay far, far away from Weleski Transfer. They turned what should have been a normal move into an absolute nightmare.
